    Carat ranked No 1 agency in the 2014 India Business League: R3

    MUMBAI: Carat has been named the number one media agency in India in the 2014 New Business League table, published by R3. Conducted across 14 of the Asia Pacific’s leading media agencies, the New Business League is a market-wise monthly tally of the agencies’ new business acquisitions. In India, the tally was conducted across 17 of the region’s leading media agencies.

    For the record, R3 is a global marketing consultancy, focused on improving the effectiveness and efficiency of marketers and their agencies. Founded in 1972 in the US, and 2002 beyond the US, it works with eight of the world’s top 20 global marketers. Herein, R3’s methodology for New Business League is a compilation of the most recent data supplied by 26 multinational agencies on a monthly basis. The report is balanced against client estimates, Nielsen ADEX (advertising expenditure), discounted to appropriate levels and then converted to revenue estimates.

    And it’s not just India where Carat has managed to grab the number one spot in the 2014 New Business League table but has also been named as the number one media agency across the Asia Pacific region. Apart from India, the agency has been adjudged as the number one media agency in Thailand, Korea, Japan, Hong-Kong and Australia.

    Tempo collaborates with Mumbai’s ‘Dabbawalas’

    MUMBAI: Sweden-based SCA’s hygiene brand, Tempo has initiated an on ground activity in Mumbai. This campaign is basically rolled out to spread awareness on cleaning hands and using a sanitizer.

     

    The brand has collaborated with Mumbai’s Dabbawalas at the hands of celebrity Karishma Kapoor to spread the message of hand hygiene to 1,00,000 smart foodies to follow a healthy way of eating by using a sanitizer before eating and a tissue after eating food.

     

    Commenting on the campaign imitation, SCA MD Cecilia Edebo said, “Promoting good hygiene in sync with the local Indian eating habits, SCA aimed at bringing a smart way to enjoy food anytime and anywhere to the Kerala market. psLIVE has been an integral part in helping us achieve the same. We look forward to engaging them in our endeavor to spread our products and message on pan-India basis.”

    As part of the campaign, Mumbai’s famous Dabbawalas, gathered together at various locations and placed a pack of Tempo Pocket hanky tissues and a 15ml bottle of hand sanitizers in Smart Foodie bag to 20,000 dabbas on the first day of promoting the real joy of eating with hands instead of fork and spoon. It can be observed that the brand also collaborated with fast food chain McDonalds extensively when it was just launched in the market.

    MUMBAI: To be the first in the region, Dentsu Aegis Network’s experiential marketing agency, psLive, which was recently launched in APAC, will be rolled out in India.

     

    Carat Fresh Integrated, which has built itself to a strong 95 experiential professionals, across eight offices, over the last five years, will transform to psLIVE in India, giving it a great platform to build upon.

     

    Dentsu Aegis Network South Asia chairman & CEO Ashish Bhasin will take on the additional role of chairman APAC, Posterscope and psLIVE – Asia Pacific.

     

    In India psLIVE will be focusing on experiential marketing, PR, rural marketing, branded entertainment, sports marketing, creative and consultancy as the key areas of operation in the initial phase. psLIVE India will be the first truly global experiential marketing agency, offering the entire gamut of services, which is built for the digital age.

     

    Commenting on the development, Bhasin said “We are very happy to transform Carat Fresh Integrated to psLIVE because this puts us in a unique place of having a strong ground based operation, backed by all the global knowledge and tools. All aspects of experiential marketing, particularly activation and rural, are becoming extremely important in India.     psLIVE India will commence its operations with 95 employees, in eight offices. These offices are located in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Chandigarh and Guwahati.  psLIVE has a ground network of over 3500 people. It is expected that by end 2015 the ground network will touch 10,000 and over 1,00,000 villages would have been covered by then.

     

    R Ravi Shankar will head psLIVE India while Sidharth Ghosh, vice president, Keshav Chandorkar, rural markets national head and Ajay Rao, vice president, will form the core management team of psLIVE.

    MUMBAI: Dentsu Aegis Network has announced the launch of experiential marketing agency psLive in Asia Pacific.

     

    During 2014, psLive will be rolled out to all key Asia Pacific markets.  Dentsu Aegis Network South Asia chairman and CEO Ashish Bhasin will take on the additional role of chairman APAC, Posterscope and psLive – Asia Pacific.

     

    Dentsu Aegis Network Asia Pacific CEO Nick Waters said, “psLive will play an important role in Asia Pacific, particularly in key markets like ANZ, South East Asia and India. We see this as a fast growth area for our business in the years to come.”
