    Tenon Group announces key management changes

    Mumbai: Tenon Group, a market leader in the integrated security & facility management industry with a strong presence in India, UK, and Singapore, has announced the new strategic roles and assigned new responsibilities at the group level.

    Tenon Group of Companies is a conglomerate of three market leaders with a strong foothold in global space: Tenon FM, Peregrine Guarding, and Soteria (Remote monitoring and surveillance service provider via Internet of Things (IoT) devices and Artificial Intelligence).

    Sandeep Gupta has been elevated & appointed as global CEO of Tenon Group, taking over the charter of strategising the business at group level & growing the market presence in the coming years. Sandeep has been working with the group as global CFO from past six years & has contributed to the overall profitability & turnover enhancement.

    Taking over the responsibilities of the facility management business, Rakesh Tripathi has been appointed as CEO, Tenon FM. Tripathi has been with the organisation since 2006 and has consistently contributed to the growth trajectory in security business.  

    In another significant role, Siddharth Jha has been elevated as director at Soteria-the technology arm of Tenon Group. Jha has been a core part of the inception team of Soteria since 2014 and has immensely contributed to its success.

    In the announcement, Tenon Group global chairman Major Manjit Rajain said “Since our inception, we have come a long way. It’s been a wonderful 28-year journey with everyone’s contribution. I want to congratulate on the new and bigger responsibilities given to each individual. We hope and ensure that we will keep delivering quality services to our valuable customers. I want to thank all our staff members and distinguished stakeholders for this outstanding achievement.”

    The company has also announced the shift in roles at the regional levels. Brig. Sunil Kumar NV will now be working as the director at Peregrine Security in the East Region of the country, including West Bengal, Orissa, North-East, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana.

    Additionally, Sanjay Varma will now be the director of Peregrine Security in the South Region including the regions of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala.

    Adidas, Rohit Sharma partner to launch a sustainable apparel collection for the Indian market

    Mumbai: adidas and Rohit Sharma have signed a collaboration to launch their first-ever collaboration in sustainable apparel for the Indian market. This collection comes in continuation of adidas’ and Rohit’s long-standing partnership and commitment to end plastic waste. Rohit has been committed towards this cause in partnership with adidas, as was witnessed during the past two editions of the IPL, where he used the global stage to showcase specially crafted shoes, highlighting the cause and spreading awareness around marine plastic pollution.

    The stylish and sustainable collection will comprise an array of products ranging from training t-shirts, training pants, shorts, track suits, polo t-shirts, round neck t-shirts, sweatshirts, and lounge pants. The collection has been designed by leading experiential designer Aaquib Wani in collaboration with Rohit. The limited edition collection will be available in select stores and on adidas.co.in.

    Speaking at the launch, Indian Cricket Captain Rohit Sharma said, “Marine pollution is one of the biggest challenges mankind faces today. Oceans are key to our survival, and it is a world like no other and must be protected. My association with adidas over the years has been a major step towards spreading awareness for the cause, which is why I am proud to collaborate with them for this collection. Ending plastic waste is a priority for us both, and this collection is a result of unparalleled commitment and effort towards saving the oceans.”

    JCDecaux Advertising India promotes Alim Ahmad as business head

    MUMBAI: Alim Ahmad has been promoted to the business head for Mumbai business for JCDecaux Advertising India. With this new assignment, Ahmad will be responsible for overseeing the Mumbai branch including the newly acquired Mumbai Metro Project.

    Ahmad joined JCDecaux India in the year 2014 where he started as assistant manager for sales. During his last eight years of tenure with the agency, he was responsible for direct business acquisition for the organisation. He is also pursuing Doctorate from University of Switzerland on Changing Outdoor Dynamics in India.

    Ahmad holds business insights and an understanding of street furniture and mall media where he has onboarded various reputed clients for the organisation. He was a key member of the UB City Mall Business Team. While working as vertical head – direct business SF, he was responsible to drive the overall mission and vision of JCDecaux Advertising by interfacing with PAN India advertisers regularly. 

    He also served as the brand strategist and business partner for leading companies and orchestrated large-scale outdoor media campaigns on JCDecaux’s media inventory.

    Myntra’s Achint Setia joins Zalora Singapore as chief revenue & marketing officer

    Mumbai: Myntra CXO and head of marketing & social commerce business Achint Setia has announced he is moving on from his current role at the fashion e-commerce major. He has joined fashion e-retailer Zalora Singapore as chief revenue & marketing officer. Setia took to LinkedIn to make the announcement. At Zalora, he leads the revenue and profit & loss for the regional cluster along with driving the marketing function for the group. 

    Earlier in January this year, Flipkart-owned fashion e-commerce platform Myntra had promoted Achint Setia to the position of marketing and social commerce business head. In this role, Setia was responsible for building the Myntra brand, loyalty program (insider), user growth, content-led commerce, and live commerce businesses. He was previously the vice president and business head – social commerce at the fashion portal, having joined it in August 2018.

    Setia has business building expertise in consumer tech and media with cross-functional experience across marketing, operations, strategy, content, product development, and analytics.

    Before joining Myntra, he worked with companies like McKinsey & Co, Microsoft R&D, and Viacom18 Media.  

    An alumnus of Stanford’s Graduate School of Business, as well as the Indian School of Business, Setia also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from NSIT.

    Mumbai: Rahul Mishra, formerly the head of marketing of Shemaroo Entertainment, has been promoted to head the company’s Web 3.0 initiatives. In the third wave of the internet, which is more transparent and employs technologies like blockchain, AI, and IOT to offer a more engaging user experience for the business, he will be working on identifying & building various opportunities.

    Rahul joined Shemaroo in 2018 and has been instrumental in carving an identity for its various consumer facing businesses. He played a pivotal role in the transformation of Shemaroo from a B2B to a B2C new-age digital company, and its new imagery roll out with the company’s foray into OTT and broadcast.

    Mumbai: Colgate-Palmolive India, the market leader in oral care on Tuesday released an inspiring true story of Kiran Kanojia, under its ‘Smile Karo Aur Shuru ho Jao’ campaign as part of its ongoing effort to promote optimism over self-doubt.

    Colgate India has been bringing its ‘Smile Karo Aur Shuru Ho Jao’ (Smile and Get Going) philosophy to life for more than three years now, sharing inspiring real stories from across the country. The initiative aims to encourage us to embrace optimism in the face of adversities and choose to smile as the secret weapon to dissolve all negativity and go forth and create the life of our dreams.

    Continuing to deliver on the above message, Colgate has launched their latest campaign celebrating Kiran Kanojia’s inspirational story. The ad begins from the point in life when Kiran, at the age of 25, was pushed off a train by robbers trying to steal her bag, and her left leg was crushed. Doctors had to amputate her leg to save her life. But she decided to fight the odds and not give up. With her unwavering persistence and willpower, she not only begins to walk but accomplishes her first ever marathon as a blade runner. Today she is known for not just her courage but also an evangelist spreading hope and confidence amongst others. The Colgate ad aims to bring back a spark in the viewers to battle their own odds and not give up till they reach their desired point in life.

    The campaign ad film is conceptualized by RedFuse, WPP’s integrated communications partner to Colgate India. The ad will be run in 12 languages which are Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu.

    Speaking about the idea behind the campaign ad film, RedFuse executive creative director Delna Sethna, said, “Under that diminutive, soft spoken exterior Kiran is a powerhouse, full of heart and courage. Her story will, I believe, inspire people. Not to take up marathoning, but to take the path less trodden. One that’s tougher. One that pushes you. One that knows no matter what, there is a light at the end of that long, dark tunnel.”

    On this journey, Colgate India has highlighted stories of some remarkable people who, with their courage and positivity, overcame huge obstacles in their respective lives and became torchbearers of hope for millions. These names included India’s first visually-impaired solo paraglider Divyanshu Ganatra; the youngest batsman in the world to score a double century in List-A cricket Yashaswi Jaiswal; the adoptive mother of over 1,400 orphaned children Late Sindhutai Sapkal and the world’s first female amputee to climb Mount Everest Arunima Sinha.

    Aditya Mehendale promoted as national creative director at Schbang

    Mumbai: Digital marketing agency Schbang has promoted Aditya Mehendale as national creative director, according to his LinkedIn profile.

    In this new role, Mehendale will oversee the creative products in India for the agency. He will be also responsible to maintain synergies across both North and South zones in India.

    He joined Schbang as a creative strategist six years ago. He was earlier the creative director of the agency. 

    Mehendale crafted various communication strategies for brands such as Fevicol, Amazon Prime Video, Ashok Leyland, Mattel, Castrol, Jio, and Raw Pressery.

    “Aditya is a brilliant creative mind and has proven time and again his ability to understand the customers’ requirements and translate them into a fine creative product,” said  Schbang’s founder Harshil Karia, as quoted by media reports. “The work that Schbang has done over the last seven years has had his touch on it.     Netflix elevates Ankit Gokani to India director – VFX

    Mumbai: Netflix has elevated Ankit Gokani to the position of India director – VFX, according to his LinkedIn update.

    Gokani has been associated with the streaming platform for more than three years. He joined Netflix as VFX specialist – international originals, India. He was later promoted to India manager – VFX in November 2019.

    He has more than a decade of experience working in the film industry, with a thorough understanding of post-production and VFX.

    Prior to Netflix, he worked with production houses such as Method Studios, Industrial Light and Magic, Double Negative, Jar Pictures, and Rhythm and Hues.

    Jose Leon elevated as MD of Indigo Consulting

    Mumbai: Publicis Groupe on Monday announced the elevation of Jose Leon as managing director of Indigo Consulting – the digital business transformation (DBT) arm of the company in the country.

    Leon is a digital strategy and tech expert with over 25 years of corporate experience across global brands like Adobe and Xerox. He joined Publicis Groupe as DBT business president. 

    He was promoted as the COO of the company in 2020.

    Leon earlier worked closely with the Indigo Consulting CEO Rajesh Ghatge, who has recently been in transition to a wider role in Publicis Groupe. “There could be no better succession plan than Jose at the helm of Indigo Consulting,” said Ghatge on Leon’s appointment. “He has considerably accelerated investments by bringing in best-in-class talent across delivery & technology functions and plans to ramp-up these endeavours through 2022-23, for bespoke software engineering, core application modernisation and CX & EX re-imagination projects.”

    Moving forward, Leon will work closely with the newly appointed Publicis Groupe India digital technology business CEO Amaresh Godbole. “Indigo Consulting has deep domain knowledge across financial services and retail, which will be key growth drivers for Publicis Groupe’s digital technology business, especially D2C commerce,” stated Godbole. “I’m grateful to inherit a strong leader in Jose who runs the Indigo Consulting business with passion and ownership. I’m excited to partner with him as he leads the brand into its next phase of growth across software engineering, content platform build, e-commerce, and data offerings.”
