    Promax India Awards 2024 wraps up with spectacular wins

    Mumbai: The Promax India Awards 2024 have officially wrapped up, marking the end of an extraordinary virtual event celebrating the brightest talents in media and entertainment marketing. With an array of creative work across 57 categories, this year’s awards highlighted the industry’s leading players’ resilience, innovation, and creativity.

    Despite the challenges faced by the industry in a post-pandemic landscape, the virtual format allowed Promax India to reach a global audience, showcasing the best work in entertainment marketing and promotion. This year’s winners demonstrated artistic excellence and a keen ability to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing environment.

    Shemaroo Entertainment led the pack with an impressive haul, taking home 20 Gold and 13 Silver awards. Their campaigns stood out for their creativity and impact, setting new benchmarks in the industry. Disney Star/ Disney+ Hotstar/ NGC also shone brightly, securing 15 Gold and 11 Silver awards. Their innovative approaches to brand promotion and audience engagement were widely recognised and celebrated. Culver Max Entertainment claimed 9 Gold and 13 Silver awards, showcasing their versatile and dynamic work across various categories. Zee Entertainment Enterprises made its mark with 6 Gold and 6 Silver awards, reflecting its commitment to pushing the boundaries of entertainment marketing. Viacom18 earned 1 Gold and 8 Silver awards, underscoring their consistent efforts to deliver high-quality promotional content. Reporter Broadcasting Company garnered 2 Gold awards, highlighting their impactful storytelling and marketing strategies. MA+TH Entertainment Network achieved 1 Gold and 1 Silver award, showcasing their innovative contributions to the industry. White Turtle Studios – A Trailer Park Group Company and Dynamite Design each took home 1 Silver award, while Cutawayy Films and Warner Bros. Discovery celebrated their success with 1 Gold each.

    Mumbai: Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL), India’s leading content company, has swept the Promax Asia and the Digital Reinvent Awards, bagging a remarkable nine gold awards and six silver at the 2023 edition, for its unparalleled creativity and exceptional work in brand-defining campaigns.

    At the Promax Asia 2023 Awards, ZEE5’s ability to craft a compelling invite shone bright.  ZEE5’s ‘Kashmir Files’ trailer earned the coveted Best Factual Promo award, while the ‘Main Tajdaar’ video was awarded the Best Visual FX and Compositing for its captivating visuals and ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs’ bagged a Gold for the Best Reality promo.     At the Digital Reinvent 2023 Awards, the ‘Pitching to Ashneer Grover’ promo for ‘TVF Pitcher Season 2’secured gold in the ‘Best Use of Influencers Using Social Media’ category.  Zee Bangla dominated with their ‘Mother’s Day Campaign’ taking home gold for micro video content. The winning streak continued with their captivating ‘IPL Combat Campaign’ winning gold and ‘Neem Phuler Modhu’ launch campaign securing silver in the coveted Digital Brand Campaign of the Year award. The IPL Combat campaign’s success extended further with a silver in the Delivery on a Dime category.

    Zee Bangla’s ‘Neem Phuler Modhu’ launch campaign securing gold for “Organic Use of Social Media,” while the ‘Mother’s Day Campaign’ earned silver in the same category. Additionally, ZEE5’s ‘Taj: Divided by Blood Official Trailer’ also grabbed a silver under ‘Best in Promotion & Marketing: Trailer’ category.

    Promax India 2023: Celebrating excellence in entertainment marketing & design!

    Mumbai: Promax India, the leading community in the nation’s entertainment market, successfully hosted the 21 edition of the ‘Promax India Awards 2023,’ commemorating remarkable accomplishments in the realms of entertainment marketing and design. The Promax India Conference & Awards 2023 was held on 25 August at Mumbai’s Radisson Mumbai Goregaon, featuring informative sessions led by renowned global speakers. Ahead of the primary event, on 24 August, Promax India organised a creative boot camp – ‘The Anatomy of a Clip-Based Promo,’ along with a senior leadership luncheon.

    The grand event had industry media personality Amazon Prime Video head of India originals Aparna Purohit, as the awards chair along with Vidyanath Vaddi, head/on-air promotions, SPNI English Channels, English and Bangla Channels, Sony BBC Earth, Pix & Sony Aath; Shravanty Roy, Sr. vice president marketing, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd; and Rupesh Kashyap, partner & chief content officer, Hotcult Branded content as the advisory board members.

    Day one of the event featured industry experts who shared their insights on the latest industry trends, fostering stimulating conversations and the exchange of ideas among attendees. It started with an enlightening session on the topic ‘The Great Streaming Pivot’ by Lee Hunt who is a New York-based strategist and industry thought leader for media companies around the world. In his session, he shared details and stats about the changes that the world will see in the digital and entertainment landscape. Subsequently, a Senior Leadership Luncheon was hosted for the esteemed dignitaries which was followed by another discussion on the topic ‘Harsh Realities of the Future Workforce’ by David Shing (known as “Shingy”) who is an Australian futurist, speaker, creative director, strategic digital consultant, and entrepreneur. He engaged with the panel through a slew of activities to educate big brands about the unique opportunities afforded by emerging digital, social, and mobile technologies.

    Additionally, the creative boot camp, titled ‘The Anatomy of a Clip-Based Promo,’ took place at Atlas SkillTech University. Helmed by Vikki Stephenson, a senior creative consultant with 20 years of experience in creating award-winning campaigns for renowned brands, this boot camp was open to all professionals aiming to elevate their creative bar and produce world-class promos. The highly anticipated event witnessed prominent brands from all over the nation vying for the coveted awards.

    The second day’s conference began with Lee Hunt leading a session on ‘New Best Practices 2023,’ examining the competition between linear and streaming media, their new strategies, and how consumers continue to sample new entertainment services. Subsequently, Tamagna Ghosh, MD, APAC at Trailer Park Group, presented ‘World Gold,’ showcased some of this year’s incredible crop of Promax Gold winners in design and promotion. Another session by Sudipto Saha from PwC highlighted the use of analytics and AI to gain profound viewer insights. Additionally, ‘The Connected Human,’ a session by Shingy, a creative director, strategist, and futurist, delved extensively into the incredible process of connecting the brand with the world.

    Engaging in a fireside chat with Viacom18 head of brand and creative marketing Shagun Seda award-winning director Prasoon Pandey shared his thoughts on how he gets the ideas for his projects and commented, “When we get an idea, we keep dropping it because something is not surprising enough, I am looking always for ideas that keep surprising me first because if they do not surprise me they will not really surprise the audience and once you find it then you keep polishing it, keep looking at it from various sides and to keep polishing it. Once I feel this overall structure has been polished then I open and then I like layering my commercials because even if they want to be there just 10 times people should find something new, they should discover something new every”.

    Mumbai: Promax India is back with its 20th edition of Promax India Conference and Awards 2022 to be held in Mumbai on the 10-11 August, 2022 with workshops, sessions, one-to-one engagement with the speakers and honouring the best at the most awaited Promax India Awards 2022.

    Amazon Prime Video India head Aparna Purohit is the Awards Chair for this year.

    For Promax India, this year marks a milestone as it completes 20 remarkable years of honouring the best brands for their creativity, innovation, and storytelling. The coveted Promax India Awards introduced new additions this year. Some of the new categories include Best Static Image, Best Voice-Over Performance, and Best Social Media Content.

    Additionally, brands will also compete for The Creative Brand of the Year category.

    Some of the best minds in the industry will be hosting workshops titled, “The New Promo 10 Commandments” with the popular Rob Middleton, mentor-holding little promotions and marketing hands all across Asia for almost three decades now.

    Dynamite Design’s Sheetal Sudhir pitches in with principles and theory of motion and how you can use that to give a brand deeper values and dimension; digital mantras by RT Digital deputy creative & innovations director Ivor Crotty brings to us stories that build bridges; at the heart of building digital audiences is the power of the story, and the mantras of storytelling are at the centre of our endeavour. His mantra: what do you need to do to give your story the power to push through and to bring your audience with you on the journey?

    The essential masterclass session for all broadcast marketing professionals—whether new to writing briefs or looking for time-saving tips and hacks—is being presented by The Brief Doctor: Tim Hughes. His session explains how to maximise creative output by focussing on audience needs and business goals by setting a simple and effective creative strategy and managing through stakeholders.

    Some of the sessions to look out for are by well-known speakers – Trailer Voice Artists Agency owner Brent Hagel, Lee Hunt LLC founder Lee Hunt, Comedy Central voiceover artist Rahul Mulani, FX Network EVP marketing and on-air Stephanie Gibbons.

    Mumbai: Promax India has announced the line-up of speakers for their upcoming Promax India Regional 2022 Conference and Awards to be held virtually on 22 April from 2 pm onwards. The Promax Awards are a celebration of outstanding achievements in entertainment marketing and design.

    The awards ceremony will recognize outstanding creative works from regional markets of India across 36 categories. The second edition will host a slew of virtual panel discussions with eminent speakers.

    The first-panel discussion explores ‘Crafting A New Tomorrow’. Led by Shankar Bala, the session will have speakers like Guruprasad Rao, Raghavanand D V, Ramsai Panchapakesan, and Shriram Sanjeevi, who will take us through the journey of the evolution of the regional market in the entertainment industry. They will also throw light on the fast-paced growth of the sector, its tremendous potential and what to expect in the year.

    The second session is ‘Hot spots: Elevating The Regional Experience’. On the panel led by Rahul Mishra, brand curators and industry doyens such as — Ajit Thakur, Ajit Varghese, and Ashish Golwalkar — will come together and share their thoughts on how trendy content, creative styles, innovation, and strategy have helped in creating the power that has led to a boom in regional content in India.

    Mumbai: Promax India has announced the second Digital Reinvent show – ‘OTT and Digital Marketing Innovation Conference and Awards’ for 2021. The event will be held virtually on 8 October.

    The speakers for the event will include leaders, content and business heads from MX Player, SonyLIV, Discovery+, VOOT, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, hoichoi, Eros Now among others.

    “The OTT platforms have triggered perhaps the greatest transformation in the Indian media industry.     Promax India unveils set of international speakers for ‘Art of Pivot’

    Mumbai: Promax India has announced the latest edition of its conference and awards event titled ‘Art of Pivot: Promax India Virtual 2021′. The entertainment marketing community will bring the speakers from the UK, New Zealand, Russia, and Australia for the event that is scheduled to take place between 22 and 24 September.

    The event will host keynote sessions, a series of quality discussions that is synonymous with Promax.

    Eoin McLaughlin on How to be Brave

    Eoin works at 4creative, (UK Channel 4’s in-house agency) where she is responsible for managing the creative department. 4creative is a winner of four D&AD black pencils, a BAFTA, and many more awards. The agency writes and produces provocative and innovative work across all Channel 4 brands and services.

    This multi-faceted creative director also writes children’s books. Her debut The Hug was named a ‘Book of the Year’ by The Guardian and has been translated into 19 languages. Eoin’s session will talk about ‘taking creative risks – and be rewarded‘.

    Hunting the Killer Idea by Nick McFarlane

    Nick has two lives:  One as design director for Raydar/Proximity New Zealand, where he builds brand identities for clients and brings them to life through ad campaigns and activations. The other is as a graphic agitator – where he burns the midnight oil on a range of projects that allow for a story to be told through any medium – be it a book, brand, or bottle of rum! He’s exhibited art from the UK to Los Angeles to New Zealand and designed The Prodigy’s top-selling album-cover artwork.

    In his session, Nick will take the audience on a rugged journey through the creative process, retracing his steps, the highs, lows, and lessons learned the hard way, are woven together into an epic hunting yarn, that will shock and surprise at every twist along the way.

    Big Phenomenal of a Small Channel by Anna Godunova

    Anna Godunova has over 13 years of TV marketing experience. As a member of on-air promo teams of a number of Russia’s leading TV channels, she has worked her way up from a copywriter to the department head. Anna is currently the on-air promo director of TNT4 entertainment TV channel, which has received a number of international awards in marketing.

    Kellie has worked in social and digital media and creative content production locally and abroad for over 10 years spending six as Foxtel’s self-proclaimed social media ‘kween‘! Kellie spearheaded digital and social content production across the Foxtel platform, launching some of the biggest TV shows in the world into the Australian market including Game of Thrones, Big Little Lies and The Walking Dead as well as producing bespoke content for Foxtel’s award-winning local productions such as Wentworth, Picnic At Hanging Rock, Lambs of God, A Place To Call Home, Ron Iddles: The Good Cop, The Kettering Incident and Secret City across the digital and social landscape earning numerous industry awards, multiple Gold Promax Awards and even bagging a Cannes Lion for ‘Outstanding Innovation’. In September last year, she launched her own creative content production house, Storykeller Productions.

    New Delhi: Colors Tamil has won six coveted awards at the first edition of the Promax India Regional 2021 Conference- The Art of the Pivot, announced this week. Competing across 25 categories, the regional GEC bagged four Gold in the Best Programme Campaign, Something for Nothing, Best Entertainment Promo and Best Launch Campaign categories and two Silver in the Best Movie Promo and Best Directing categories for its innovative works and promotions.

    Among the six illustrious Awards, Colors Tamil’s Kodeeswari – the Tamil version of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) – bagged three Gold and one Silver for its first-of-its-kind format, direction, and innovative campaign. Showcased as Asia’s first all-women version of the popular game show ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ and hosted by Radikaa Sarathkumar, Kodeeswari was also listed among the finalists under the Best Themed Campaign category.

    Colors Tamil bagged the Gold for its innovative Independence Day promo and the Silver for its best movie promo (Watchman). The channel was also listed among the finalists in Best Children’s Promo category.

    Mumbai: Honouring outstanding achievement in entertainment, marketing and design, the Promax India Regional Awards 2021 is all set to be held virtually on 11 June, the association announced on Monday.

    The event will witness some of the best creative works in entertainment, marketing, promotion and design from all regional markets of India compete across 25 categories. Since 1997, Promax has honoured creativity, innovation, and storytelling in the media and entertainment industry. Given the ‘new-normal’, it has embarked on a new innovative journey with the first-ever Promax India Regional Conference and Awards 2021.

    Given the circumstances surrounding the outbreak of COVID-19 (coronavirus) and the future being uncertain in terms of timings, we have no choice but to postpone the Promax India Conference and Awards Show in Mumbai.

    For more than 17 years, we have the honour to be your association for the community of entertainment marketers and creatives in India. Representing your professional and career development needs remain the benchmark of our organisation, but we take your health and well-being just as seriously.

    While we await the green-light from the authorities, we are exploring alternative dates and related details so that we can bring you the event later in the year. We will release more information in the weeks to come.

    We have at members' request further pushed back the Promax India Awards judging, to allow a little extra time needed for submitting entries for those working from home during the lockdown.
