    MUMBAI: They are putting their best foot forward – Asics , the Japanese sportswear pioneer that seamlessly merges performance and style and the 20-year old Tata Mumbai Marathon run by the well-known and admired Singh brothers – Anil and Vivek of Procam International. 

    Yesterday, Asics  unveiled its twentieth edition limited merchandise for the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2025, celebrating one of Asia’s prestigious athletic events. Uniting the spirit of sports and fashion, the collection was launched at Mumbai’s vibrant Linking road Asics store by actor-triathlete Saiyami Kher, along with Asics brand athletes Rohan Bopanna and Saurav Ghosal.

    This isn’t just merchandise—it’s a testament to the rich, evolving legacy between India and Japan, ready to stride confidently into the future,  said a company statement..

    This year’s limited-edition merchandise pays homage to Mumbai’s iconic Marine Drive, known as The Queen’s Necklace. The designs capture the vibrant essence of Mumbai’s shoreline, blending urban energy with the natural rhythm of the sea. The merchandise features t-shirts adorned with tetrapod patterns and wave-inspired graphics, symbolising the resilience and harmony of the city.

    Asics also revealed the Gel-Kayano 31 limited edition, reflecting  Mumbai’s spirit. With colours inspired by the city’s dynamic skyline, such as Illuminate mint and safety yellow for men and summer dune for women, the shoe combines a 4D guidance system for stability, FF Blast Plus Eco cushioning, and PureGel technology for smooth strides over any distance.

    The collection aims to unite Tata Mumbai Marathon participants in a shared sense of purpose and community. Designed to celebrate Mumbai’s vibrancy, the merchandise creates a connection between runners and the city’s unyielding spirit.

    Mumbai: Reiterating its commitment towards sustainability, VIDA, powered by Hero, the emerging mobility brand of Hero MotoCorp has collaborated with pioneers of the distance running movement in India Procam International as the electric two-wheeler partner for the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) World 10K Bengaluru.

    The race is scheduled to be held on Sunday, 28 April 2024. This collaboration is yet another significant step by both companies towards promoting sustainable mobility and encouraging individuals to embrace clean transportation solutions.

    As part of the partnership, VIDA is set to curate an experiential journey for the participants through various touchpoints and activations. From pre-race festivities to post-run celebrations, runners will be able to engage with VIDA throughout the event.  

    Progress Parade – A convoy of VIDA V1 electric scooters will be at the start line of the “Majja Run” of the TCS World 10K Bengaluru. The VIDA V1 scooters, with their distinctiveness and energy, will take the lead and set the stage for the runners as they embark on their run. The VIDA V1 convoy will feature customers who have opted for clean mobility through VIDA V1 and real-life change makers who are bringing a transformation through their efforts. This convoy of change makers serves as proof that change begins with the action of a single person.

    Official electric scooter – The VIDA V1 is the official electric scooter of the world’s premier 10K and the VIDA V1 will be used for all official requirements during the event.

    Mumbai: Asia’s prestigious Tata Mumbai Marathon (TMM) will witness over 56,000 participants take to the start line at the glorious Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus on Sunday, 21 January. Joining from different parts of the world will be an additional 2900 runners participating virtually through the TMM app.

    This iconic event has ushered in a running revolution that has redefined our country’s health, fitness, and giving paradigm. For the 19 edition of the event, the country will stand in unison as the city bursts to life in a celebration of #HarDilMumbai.

    TMM 2024 has broken all barriers with an overwhelming response from the running community across all categories. The Marathon – our feature race for the first time has crossed the 11,000 participant mark. This is a testament to how the running culture in India has evolved in the last two decades, with running becoming the fastest-growing urban sport.

    This World Athletics Gold Label Road race will witness in action defending champions and event record holders Ethiopians Hayle Lemi Berhanu and Anchialem Haymanot take center stage. Reigning Olympic and World Champion in Pole Vault Katie Moon along with marathon running icon Meb Keflezighi will add sheen to the Sunday morning as Event Ambassadors boosting morale and serving as an inspiration for runners.

    Deepak Kesarkar, guardian minister, Mumbai & minister for education, Govt. of Maharashtra said, “Tata Mumbai Marathon is the pride of India.     The Rs 405,000 prize money event will be spearheaded by the Defending Champion and the first Indian to win the Asian Marathon Championship in 2017 – Gopi T. Also toeing the start line will be 2020 champion Srinu Bugatha and Tirtha Kumar Pun, the 2023 Vasai Virar Mayor’s Marathon winner.

    Last year’s runner up Aarti Patil will be gunning for her maiden title and will be challenged by Jigmet Dolma, the runner-up in 2017 and 2019.

    The Indian men and women marathon winners will bag Rs 5,00,000 each, further incentivised with a Rs 2,00,000 course record bonus.

    In the half marathon category, Asian Games Silver Medallist Kartik Kumar and Bronze- medallist Gulveer Singh will be the main attraction and will be challenged by TSK 25K 2023 winner Sawan Barwal.

    Mumbai Festival

    The much-anticipated ‘Mumbai Festival 2024’ is gearing up to be a celebration of unity, culture, and diversity. This nine-day fiesta with collaborations from Tata Mumbai Marathon and the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival will be a mix of popular events along with a music fest, an expo, cinema and beach fests, a movie competition, a cricket clinic, start-up fest, among others.

    Representing the Mumbai Festival, Jayshree Bhoj, Principal Secretary Tourism, Govt. of Maharashtra, said, “This is the very first time, the government of Maharashtra has come up with an idea of Mumbai festival, which celebrates the spirit of Mumbai.     MUMBAI: Procam International, pioneers of distance running events in India, announced its partnership with Franklin Templeton, one of India’s largest* fund houses, as Investment Partner for all their four world-class running events. The association is slated to start with Tata Mumbai Marathon on January 19, 2020.

    Franklin Templeton aims to use a digital first approach to engage the runner community, with innovative offerings towards increased financial security.

    Today, running is the fastest growing participative sport in India. Procam running events have played a pivotal role in this transformation – from starting a health & fitness revolution that spawned over 1400 races in the country, to creating a springboard for Indian long- and middle-distance runners.     The honor was bestowed on Asia’s most prestigious Tata Mumbai Marathon for launching the world’s first ‘Inspirational Medal’ at the 2018 edition.

    The company’s pioneering efforts towards creating a running revolution in India and constantly striving to innovate and enhance runner experience has led to this accomplishment.

    A world’s first, The Inspiration Medal is a creative outcome of the collaboration between Procam International and Chlorophyll Innovation Lab. The idea behind the Inspiration Medal was based on an essential finding of large-scale research conducted with runners – the most important role in a runner’s life is played by their families, friends, their peers that continue to encourage them to push their boundaries. The preparations for a marathon require 8-10 months of dedication and perseverance and the ‘Inspiration Medal’ is a symbol of recognition for both, runners and their inspiration.

    The unique medal comes with the special feature which lets one medal be forced apart into two different medals, one that says ‘Finisher’ and the other that says ‘Inspiration’. This path-breaking concept created immense buzz when it was launched two years ago, and resulted in manifold increase in inquiries for the full marathon from running enthusiasts, in addition to generating earned media of over 2 million USD for the event.

    Mumbai: Procam International, pioneers of distance running events in India, today announced the launch of registrations for the 17th edition of Tata Mumbai Marathon (TMM), beginning Friday, 26th July 2019. Asia’s most prestigious marathon will witness 50,000 runners take a step forward in an event that inspires everyone it touches, to #BeBetter. As per tradition, the running extravaganza has set its date for the Maximum City, on the third Sunday of the new year, 19th January 2020.

    Unlike any other event in the country, Tata Mumbai Marathon has the privilege of being hosted and launched from the glorious precincts of Raj Bhavan. The Raj Bhavan welcomed to its majestic environs, dignitaries and sponsors of the event including Suprakash Mukhopadhyay  Company Secretary, Tata Sons, Ujjwal Mathur-Vice President and Country Head, Tata Consultancy Services, the title sponsors of the event and Anil & Vivek Singh, Promoters Procam International.  The first citizen of the state, the Honorable Governor of Maharashtra, Shri. CH. Vidyasagar Rao signed on, as the first participant of TMM 2020.

    MUMBAI: Sports management and marketing company Procam International has roped in Seiko as the official ‘Timing Partner’ for the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon (ADHM) 2015. This is Seiko’s maiden alliance with the half marathon to be held in Delhi on Sunday, 29 November 2015.

     

    Seiko decided to come onboard for Delhi having sponsored the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon 2015 (SCMM 2015) and TCS World 10K 2015. With this partnership, all three events join the ranks of international sporting events such as the Olympics, the Commonwealth Games, the IAAF World Championships in Athletics and the FIFA World Cup, all of whom Seiko has provided its timing technology and served as Official Timer.
