    Mumbai: Star Sports, the official broadcaster of the Pro Kabaddi League, has notched up significant viewership figures building on a strong start at the opening weekend, solidifying its status as the second most popular sport in the country. According to BARC, Star Sports reached an astounding 158 million viewers in the first 24 matches of the tournament, marking an impressive growth of 20 per cent compared to the previous season. The watch time during this period increased by 25% to 12.8 billion minutes compared to the last edition. The broadcaster also witnessed a remarkable growth of 28 per cent in TVR compared to season 9, reflecting the growing interest and enthusiasm among fans for the high-octane action that Pro Kabaddi League delivers.

    Mumbai: Star Sports, the official broadcaster of the Pro Kabaddi League, has notched up strong viewership figures for the opening weekend of the milestone 10th season. According to BARC, 80.1 million viewers tuned in to Star Sports for the first four matches, amassing 2.7 billion minutes of watch time. This underscores the immense popularity of the tournament among passionate fans of the second-biggest sport in the country. Additionally, the broadcaster has witnessed a remarkable growth of 38 per cent in ratings for the opening weekend compared to the last edition, showcasing the enduring appeal of Pro Kabaddi.

    Pro Kabaddi League’s return to its traditional caravan-style format has contributed to its resurgence in popularity and viewership. The tournament has witnessed spectacular performances, with Bengal Warriors commanding an unbeaten run, Gujarat Giants showcasing young raiders who are making their mark, and the return of high-flyer Pawan Sehrawat. Stalwarts like Pardeep Narwal, Maninder Singh, and Siddharth Desai have also left their mark on the league, creating a riveting narrative for fans. During the opening weekend, Gujarat Giants, led by Sultan Fazel Atrachali, won both their games at home against Telugu Titans and Bengaluru Bulls.

    Mumbai: Haryana Steelers, the professional kabaddi team owned by JSW Sports in the Pro Kabaddi League, announced the launch of their vibrant and pulsating anthem ‘Non-Stop Haryanvi’, a collaborative creation with renowned singer KD Desirock. Embodying the fervour, colour and energy of the state, this anthem aims to rally fans and encapsulate the spirit of the Haryana Steelers.

    Within just a week of its release the video has garnered over 400k views on YouTube, and has touched 2M views on social media platform, Instagram. The teaser to the track had garnered over a million plays, even before the launch of the video and was listed as a trending audio track by the platform. Over 500 reels and remixes have been created by fans – using the track on both Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts

    Expressing his excitement about the collaboration, KD Desirock stated, “The collaboration with Haryana Steelers began when the team approached me for a joint project. I was excited about the opportunity to create a unique track that captured the essence of Haryana Steelers, the sport and the state.”

    Focused on portraying the team’s vibrant energy, the singer further added, “When working on the track and video, I focused on bringing out the dynamic spirit of Haryana Steelers. The goal was to create more than just a song – a narrative that connects with the team’s identity, infusing energy and motivation for a strong bond with the local fans and audience.”

    Mumbai: Gravolite, one of the leading sports mat manufacturers in India, became the official supplier of Kabaddi Mats for the Pro Kabaddi league scheduled to be held from 2 December 2023 to 21  February  2024. These state-of-the-art mats have been approved by the Kabaddi Federation of India.

    The 10th season of Pro Kabaddi League started on 2 December 2023, with twelve teams, namely BengaluruBulls, Puneri Paltan, Jaipur Pink Panthers, U.P.Yoddhas, U Mumba, Bengal Warriors, Tamil Thalaivas, Patna Pirates, Dabang Delhi K.C., Haryana Steelers, Gujarat Giants, and Telugu Titans.

    Mumbai: The much-awaited tenth season of the Pro Kabaddi League is almost upon us, and the Bengal Warriors, one of the founding teams in the competition are putting in the hard yards, and preparing with great gusto, as they aim to land the title.  

    The Bengal Warriors, who won the championship in 2019, will understandably be keen on yet another title, and while the players, the management and the fans would be delighted at that, it would also be a source of great joy for the team’s brand partners, who have got their exclusive spots on the uniform.  

    Coached by the legendary K. Baskaran, the Bengal Warriors, who recently released a new jersey, will continue to wear the sports gaming news-only website DafaNews’ logo as the front of the jersey partner. Meanwhile, on the back of the jersey, the Warriors will have the Kajaria Ceramics logo.

    On the right arm, the Maninder Singh-led team will sport the Royal Green logo and on the left sleeve, it will sport – the League 11 logo.
