    UMBAI: Mumbai’s legendary New Excelsior Mukta A2 Cinemas set the stage for the highly anticipated trailer launch of Loveyapa, a film that is already making waves with its captivating title song and intriguing trailer.
    The grand theatre, celebrated for its historic legacy and grandeur, provided the perfect backdrop for an evening filled with nostalgia and excitement. 

    Known for its massive screen and impressive seating capacity of 596, New Excelsior Mukta A2 Cinemas holds a special place in Indian cinemas history, having hosted the premiere of Aamir Khan’s debut film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak in 1988. This symbolic connection added a layer of significance to the event as Loveyapa marks the theatrical debut of Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid Khan.

    The trailer was unveiled in front of an enthusiastic audience of over 300 special guests, including members of the media, influencers, and students. Attendees were treated to a first look at the chemistry between Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor, who star in the film. The relatable themes of trust, relationships, and the challenges of modern love resonated deeply with the young crowd.

    Loveyapa tells the story of Gucchi and Bani, a young couple whose relationship is tested when Bani’s father challenges them to swap phones to prove their trust. As secrets are uncovered, the couple’s faith in each other faces its ultimate trial.

    Adding to the fun and engaging atmosphere of the evening, a unique collaboration with Burger King saw all attendees served a special Loveyapa combo, enhancing the event’s casual and relatable vibe.

    Phantom Studios CEO Srishti Behl shared her thoughts on the choice of venue: “When planning the trailer launch, we sought a location that was both historic and iconic—something that bridged the past and the future. New Excelsior, with its incredible legacy and its connection to Aamir Khan’s debut, felt like the perfect setting to introduce Loveyapa.”

    Mukta A2 Cinemas CEO Satwik Lele added: “From hosting the premiere of Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak to unveiling the trailer of Loveyapa, it feels like a full-circle moment. We can’t wait to showcase this film on our big screens.

    Produced by Phantom Studios and AGS Entertainment, Loveyapa is set to hit theatres on 7 February 2025.

    Mumbai: Rewind announced partnership with Unifi in Malaysia. Starting 1 January, the much-anticipated channel HITS NOW will debut on Unifi TV and will be made available on Channel 452 as part of its comprehensive TV packs.

    This collaboration shared commitment to provide high-value entertainment to Malaysian viewers and to enrich the Malaysian TV landscape. HITS NOW, celebrated for its award-winning and branded programmes and cutting-edge content has already garnered a strong following since its launch in February 2023. Its introduction to Unifi TV extends its reach, offering subscribers nationwide an unparalleled viewing experience.     Mumbai:  “Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it” – based on this simple yet impactful poem by Rumi, Zindagi announces the Indian television premiere of its romantic short film, “Guddu Engiineer.” 

    Setting the perfect vibe for a Sunday binge fest, “Guddu Engiineer” is a story that will nudge your hearts and leave you ecstatic and wanting more. 

    Produced by Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani (Emmay Entertainment) and Zee Entertainment Enterprises chief creative officer – special projects Shailja Kejriwal and directed by the versatile Nikkhil Advani, featuring talented actors Prabuddh Dyma (Guddu) and Pranali Ghogare (Sonia) in the lead, the film is set to premiere on Zindagi’s DTH platforms Tata Play, Dish TV and D2H on 10 July at 8 pm.

    “Guddu Engiineer” traces the story of three friends living at a hostel in Varanasi. Guddu, the primary character, who can’t speak, falls in love with Sonia. To celebrate her birthday, he makes a list of her favorite things and makes an attempt to fulfill all her wishes. However, a certain turn of events causes him to make a choice between love and hate, which in turn alters everything around him. 

    Talking about his film, director Nikkhil Advani said, “I believe films and stories inspire people and bring to them a different perspective of things each time. Great stories help connect to a larger audience and rise above all kinds of barriers.  A film like “Guddu Engiineer” is like a warm hug and speaks volumes about love in its own little way.     COLORS’ Balika Vadhu returns with Season 2

    Mumbai: COLORS is all set to bring back one of its longest-running shows Balika Vadhu after a long hiatus of five years. However, the new season will have new cast members who will reignite the conversation around child marriages with a fresh story.

    The show first aired on COLORS TV in July 2008. It’s set in rural Rajasthan and addressed the subject of child marriage through its protagonist, a child bride, Anandi. Balika Vadhu : Season 2 will capture the journey of a ‘nayi Anandi’, played by Shreya Patel as she takes definitive steps to fight and undo the injustice done to her.

    Produced by Sphere Origins, the show will premiere on 9 August and will air Monday to Friday at 8:00 pm only on COLORS.  

    Speaking about the show, Viacom18, head, Hindi Mass Entertainment and Kids TV Network, Nina Elavia Jaipuria, said, “In the past few months, we have introduced some of our biggest properties to provide wholesome variety entertainment to our viewers.     Set in the rustic locales of the town of Devgarh, Gujarat, Balika Vadhu season 2 traces the story of two friends, Premji (played by Sunny Pancholi) and Khimji (played by Anshul Trivedi). They share a bond so thick that they always wished to extend their friendship and become one family. As fate would have it, Khimji’s wife gives birth to a girl, Anandi, while a little boy Jigar (Played by Vansh Sayani) is born to Premji. The very day, Premji and Khimji promise each other to get Anandi and Jigar married and soon there comes a day when they are wedded to each other in a ‘Baal Vivah’. 

    According to Viacom18, chief content officer, Hindi Mass Entertainment, Manisha Sharma Balika Vadhu is more than just a show, it is an emotion. She elaborated, “There has been a generation of viewers who have grown up loving and watching the show and still do. The new season of Balika Vadhu will addresses the custom of child marriage albeit from a whole new perspective. It will introduce the audience to a new Anandi and the challenges that she faces as a child bride. Nayi Anandi will fight for her rights and surely turn out to be an inspiration to many girls suffering a similar fate and will touch the hearts and minds of our viewers.”  

    Producer, Sphere Origins, Sunjoy Wadhwa, said that he has always believed in the power of stories and the change that they can bring. “The entire nation is a witness to how Balika Vadhu changed the perception of millions across the country and the face of Indian television. We still believe in the power of its concept as a section of our society affirms the custom of child marriage even today,” he said. 

    According to Comall Wadhwa, the new season of Balika Vadhu will take viewers to the nooks and corners of Gujarat to tell the story of Nayi Anandi. “A lot of girls are still fighting this battle of being in a child marriage every day and our story and characters will be an inspiration to them. We are delighted to join hands with COLORS yet again and look forward to creating the magic,” added Wadhwa. 

    The show will also feature Anshul Trivedi, Riddhi Shukla, Sunny Pancholi, Shiju Kataria and Seema Mishra in prominent roles.   

    The channel has designed a robust marketing plan across print, television, and digital platforms to promote the new show. On television, a ten-day campaign highlighting the nostalgia aspect of the show will be deployed. The show’s music track has been recreated and interwoven with each creative to build recall and drive viewership. The channel will also be targeting print publications across key markets on the launch day showcasing the innocence and feistiness of the nayi Anandi

    A digital event (COLORS Golden Petal Club) for the viewers featuring Avika Gor, Anandi from Season One is also planned for the viewers and promises to take them on a trip down memory lane. On the digital front, vignettes will be created featuring the former cast of the show- Avika Gor and Avinash Mukherjee as they talk about their memories of season one. This will also be backed by influencer outreach to create conversations around the show along with some videos which will highlight the life of the children who have lived through this social evil.

    HBO, Asia's leading entertainment provider, has announced plans to premiere the new epic ten-part miniseries Band of Brothers in late 2001. This new $120 million miniseries is the most expensive original production by HBO to-date.

    Based on Stephen Ambrose's nonfiction bestseller about a World War II US Army unit, the miniseries is slated to debut in Asia, exclusively on HBO, in the latter part of 2001.

    Band of Brothers is produced by Band Of Brothers Ltd. on behalf of the Playtone Company and DreamWorks SKG. Tom Hanks (executive producer of the Golden Globe- and Emmy-winning HBO miniseries From the Earth to the Moon) and Steven Spielberg serve as executive producers. Tony To (co-executive producer of From the Earth to the Moon) is co-executive-producer.

    Band Of Brothers tells the story of Easy Company, 506th Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division, US Army. Starting with their rigorous training in Georgia in 1942, it recounts the achievements of the elite rifle company, which parachuted into France early on D-Day morning, fought in the Battle of the Bulge, and captured Hilter's Eagle's Nest at Berchtesgaden. Drawn from hours of interviews with survivors, as well as soldiers' journals and letters, Band Of Brothers chronicles a unit that became true American heroes.

    As a kick-off, HBO premiered screening of the first two parts of 'Band Of Brothers' on Wednesday 6 June, the anniversary of D-Day, on the grounds of the Utah Beach Memorial in Normandy, France.

His invents a watch that helps the wearer travel back and forth in time for 24 hours. His evil brother Athreya (Suriya) grows greedy for the watch and Sethuram’s family is destroyed into pieces. Athreya kills Priya in the process while Sethuram runs with Mani, to save their life. He hands over Mani to Sathyabama (Saranya Ponvannan), a stranger in the train while escaping from his brother. Sathyabama takes a promise of taking care of Mani, all her life. Sethuram loses his life in a fight with Athreya, who also gets severely injured. The film takes an interesting turn when Mani grows up (now Suriya) and sets on a journey to set things right after finding his father’s watch and his quest to find the truth takes him back and forth in time.

    Will Mani be able to find the truth about his father’s death? Can he go back in time to live happily ever after?

The challenge is to be versatile.”

    In the mystic corners of a valley, Noor (Aditya Roy Kapur) grows up in the shelter of Begum (Tabu) and is completely smitten by her daughter Firdaus (Katrina Kaif). On realizing this, Begum sends Firdaus off to London and urges Noor to be successful in order to win Firdaus. 15 years later, their paths cross and Noor, a successful artist now, is still mesmerized by Firdaus. But, she is now destined to marry Bilal (Rahul Bhatt) at the whims of Begum.

    Will their love overcome societal limits as obsession, like they say will always finds its way.

    Movies Now plans major marketing push for ‘Fury’ premiere

    MUMBAI: English movie channel Movies Now has put in place a robust marketing campaign to promote the premiere of intense and gripping war film Fury starring Brad Pitt.

     

    The channel will premiere the movie on 8 November at 1 pm and 9 pm.

     

    Apart from Pitt, the movie, which is based on the lives of the US tank crews in Nazi Germany, also stars Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Pena and John Bernthal. It has been written and directed by David Ayer.

     

    Movies Now’s strategic marketing campaign will be across mediums including television, print, outdoor, online, social media and mobile that will reach out to Hollywood film buffs.

     

    An extensive on-air promo plan, and a detailed outdoor campaign that will replicate standout scenes from the film in major cities, along with social media contests for Movies Now followers, plus a print campaign are some of the pillars of the 360-degree marketing campaign.

     

    Fury is a World War II film set in 1945 towards the culmination of the war.

     

    The channel has brought on board HP Pavilion Notebooks as the presenting sponsor for the premiere of Fury.
