    Indigo Consulting appoints Prasanna Kulkarni as head of creative

    MUMBAI: Indigo Consulting has bolstered its key leadership team with the appointment of Prasanna Kulkarni as head of creative.

    Prasanna has 20 years of advertising, brand strategy and digital media experience, and his last stint was with Cheil India as creative head  of digital. At Indigo Consulting, he will be based out of Mumbai and will report to Indigo Consulting CEO Rajesh Ghatge.

    Speaking about the new key appointment, Rajesh Ghatge says, “We have driven aggressive acquisition of new clients in the last couple of years, winning large digital marketing mandates and complex digital transformation projects in the bargain. We have some of the largest brands across categories engaged with us. To deliver the best-in-class intelligent digital and omni-channel experiences, we have built and groomed an amazing creative community at Indigo Consulting. Prasanna’s mandate is to lead this community from the front across our communication and digital platform design, and build offerings. I look forward to him leveraging his deep expertise in both, brand communication and interaction design, to fuel our momentum further. His endeavour will be to deliver a fantastic creative and innovative product to our clients.”

    Prasanna’s advertising career spans over 20 years, where he has worked at ZenithOptimedia Group (a part of Publicis.Media), J Walter Thompson, OgilvyOne and Rediff.com. He has worked on India’s largest brands, some of which are Vodafone, Samsung, Tata Motors, Asian Paints, Pidilite, ICICI Bank, Jet Airways, Godrej, Adidas, Star India, Ceat Tyres, Piaggio India, OLX and Mondelez. He is a highly-celebrated advertising professional, with several industry awards under his belt.

    ZenithOptimedia gets a new CEO and managing partner

    MUMBAI: ZenithOptimedia has seen two major exits with Satyajit Sen and Navin Khemka moving on from the agency after eight years.

     

    Sen held the position of chief executive officer of agency while Khemka was the company’s managing partner.

     

    On their exit, ZenithOptimedia Group CEO Anupriya Acharya said, “After putting in eight years with ZenithOptimedia, Satya has decided to embrace a new challenge. We thank him for all his contributions to ZO and wish him all the very best. ZOG thanks Navin also for his contributions and wishes him well in his next assignment.”

     

    The agency has got on board Madison Pinnacle COO Dnyanada Chaudhari as the managing partner for ZenithOptimedia India and former JWT digital ECD Prasanna Kulkarni as the chief creative officer.

     

    Chaudhari will be based out of the agency’s Gurgaon office and on her appointment said, “I’m excited to be back and strongly believe in ZenithOptimedia’s Live ROI principle and am very keen on partnering marketing teams to not just look at efficiencies but to also strategically leverage alliances to drive thought leadership and brand ROI.”

     

    On her appointment, Acharya said, “Chaudhari brings with her the exact expertise needed for this role. Her diverse background across strategy, buying and media management as well as experience with large scale businesses, is especially suited to create and refresh our trading architecture and execution across all media including TV, print, radio, digital, OOH, experiential and other specialist services.”

     

     Based out of Mumbai, Kulkarni will be in-charge of creative and content marketing solutions across ZenithOptimedia, Performics, Resultrix and Newcast.

     

    Commenting on his new role, Kulkarni said, “Great opportunity to work across the focus groups like performance based marketing, content led communication solutions, and integrated campaigns with ZenithOptimedia and its divisions, extremely glad to be part of such multidisciplinary team at ZOG. I look forward to taking the organisation’s creative capabilities to the next level by elevating the bar for innovative content.     On the appointment, Acharya said, “Increasingly we are finding our client requiring creative content solutions across not only online but even on integrated campaigns. Kulkarni’s role is towards driving competitive edge in our product through superior integration of creative and content solutions. In fact as we move ahead, we will be looking at getting more and more diversified talent on board.”

  • JWT strengthens digital and creative team

    MUMBAI: Prasanna Kulkarni and Nitin Pradhan have joined JWT as executive creative directors. This is a part of the agency‘s plan to invest in talent and build up its digital and creative capabilities.

    Kulkarni has over 14 years of experience in advertising, brand strategy, and digital media. He comes in from OgilvyOne Worldwide where he led a creative team at for over five years. He has worked for clients like Orange, IBM, Diageo, Cadbury, Lenovo, HSBC, Hindustan Unilever Ltd and British Airways.

    At JWT, Kulkarni will partner with Sushobhan Chowdhury (head of digital strategy) and Rahul Kaul (technology/UX head) to lead and mentor digital-specific core teams in New Delhi and Mumbai.

    JWT India digital head Max Hegerman said, “We are very excited about the addition of someone of Prasanna‘s calibre. As a digital native, he brings in an abundance of hands-on digital experience – and a passion for the space. Prasanna will have an immediate impact on our digital creative capabilities. I am excited to have Prasanna as a part of the core leadership team at JWT Digital.”
    Pradhan moves in from McCann Erickson. His experience in the field spans over 12 years during which he has worked with some of the leading brands across agencies like KBC, Tata Sky, Nescafe and Close-up.

    Pradhan will work closely with JWT chief creative officer Bobby Pawa on special projects, besides handling some of the key brands at JWT Delhi.
