  • Percept/H CEO Prabhakar Mundkur now also on the board of directors

    MUMBAI: Percept/H has appointed its chief executive officer Prabhakar Mundkur as a member of its board of directors.

    Percept/H is the flagship advertising agency of Percept Limited. It is a 50:50 joint venture between Percept (entertainment, media and communications group) and Hakuhodo Inc. (Japanese advertising agency). The agency‘s Key clientele includes- Hero Honda, DLF, Bharti, Beetel, MTNL and Canon.

    Mundkur could not be a member of the board earlier despite being the CEO because of some provisions of the joint venture agreement.

    Mundkur had joined Percept/H in January 2005 and was spearheading the agency‘s growth over the last eight years. He is credited for business wins like Canon, Toyota, Fedex, Ditto TV from Zee Digital, Sahara Force India F1 team.

    He will continue to lead the agency‘s initiatives on key national businesses such as Toyota, Hero, Canon, Fedex and Sahara while he continues to oversee the company from a board perspective and steer the organisation to the next level, the agency said in a statement.

    Mundkur has over two decades of experience in the industry. Prior to joining Percept/H, he had also worked with JWT, Euro RSCG and Everest Advertising.

  • Percept/H bags Jetking Infotrain’s creative biz

    MUMBAI: Percept/H has won the creative mandate of Jetking Infotrain following a multi-agency pitch.

    Confirming the development to Indiantelevision.com, Percept/H CEO Prabhakar Mundkur said, “Jetking is an old and much respected brand in IT education. They wanted somebody who understood their business and we will be restaging the brand for them.”

    For the record, Percept/H is the flagship advertising agency of Percept Limited, that services Indian and multinational brands in India.     Established in 1990 Jetking Infotrain is a Computer Hardware and Networking Institute, which trains technical and non-technical students.

  • Debashis Paul joins Percept/H as COO

    MUMBAI: Percept/H has announced the appointment of Debashis Paul as its chief operating officer (COO).

    Indiantelevision.com had reported on 17 August that Paul is joining Percept/H.

    Paul will be based in New Delhi and will have a national role at Percept/H. He is responsible for six offices including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune and Lucknow.

    Percept/H CEO Prabhakar Mundkur said,” We are happy to welcome Debashis at Percept family. He has worked in advertising across global brands and across wide range of categories for 25 years. We are impressed with Paul‘s team building skills and with him on board I am sure we can forge a new path ahead for Percept H.”

    Paul said, “In my long standing innings in the advertising field, I have played many roles and have had the good fortune to have worked with some of the best professionals in the field, both on the agency‘s side and the client‘s side. I was now seeking a genuine national role and this opportunity from Percept was a perfect fit.”

    Percept/H bags creative mandate of Next Care’s Deo

    MUMBAI: Percept/H has been awarded the creative mandate of Next Care‘s to-be-launched perfumed body deodorant brand – Next.

    The agency won the account following a multi-agency pitch initiated in July 2011. The size of the business is estimated to be around Rs 30 million.

    Gouri Group, the parent company, plans to formally launch the new brand in February 2012.

    Percept/H is planning to devise a creative strategy which will be prominent in the already cluttered deodorant market, the agency said.

    It will also start various activities like Above the Line (ATL), Below the Line (BTL), Out of Home (OOH) and Digital as a part of integrated brand building exercise to increase their consumer connect.

    Percept/H CEO Prabhakar Mundkur said, “We at Percept, have always had the entrepreneur living inside us. Therefore, going with this belief, we decided to partner the company for the launch of Next brand in India. Our endeavour would be to create a distinct imagery for the brand which is closer to the real world.”

    Next Care Managing Partner Parminder Sadhu added, “To start with, the agency needs to chalk out a roadmap for NEXT.     Law & Kenneth’s Neeraja Kale joins PerceptH as COO

    MUMBAI: Former Law & Kenneth, Mumbai SVP and branch head, Neeraja Kale has joined PerceptH as COO.


    She will be reporting to PerceptH CEO Prabhakar Mundkur.


    Kale brings to the table 16 years of experience in the marketing and advertising domain. She has worked on brands such as Godrej Interio, Times Now, and ITC.


    Starting her career in 1995 with O&M Mumbai (now Ogilvy India) as an account executive, Kale moved to Publicis Zen after four years, and oversaw businesses such as L‘Oreal.


    In 2001, she moved to the client side, joining L‘Oreal as group product manager, Garnier. Kale has also worked with McCann Erickson for three years and handled brands including Stayfree, Western Union and Babool.
