    Amish Devgan to host ‘Aar Paar’ from 18 July on IBN7

    MUMBAI: In line with its commitment to improve the way debates happen on news channels, IBN7 is all geared up to launch Aar Paar from18 July. The show will be hosted by Network 18 executive editor Amish Devgan and will air everyday at 7 pm.

    The hour long show will conduct the various topics with a direct and effective way. Devgan famously known as an aggressive anchor will also be seen giving conclusions to the topic of the way. “Amish is excited about hosting this show. Apart from arriving to solid conclusions, he will also consider the feedback from audience present,” points a source.

    As reported earlier by Indiantelevision.com, Devgan joined Network 18 on 6 June and closely works with Network18 news CEO and group editor in chief Rahul Joshi and consulting editor Prabal Pratap Singh. With 16 years of journalistic experience, Devgan will utilize his expertise to devise various strategies and plans for all the Hindi news channels under the group namely IBN7 and CNBC Awaaz.

    The channel has not roped in any advertisers for this show yet. It will utilize and leverage their network which they believe will help establish the show. Additionally, the team will use an effective mix of digital, OOH and other media as required to maximize the reach of the show. The show will also be promoted on social media like Facebook, Twitter,YouTube, etc.

    MUMBAI: Kishore Ajwani has joined IBN 7 as deputy managing editor. He will work closely with Prabal Pratap Singh and Rahul Joshi.

    It might be recalled that Sumit Awasthi had joined IBN7 as deputy managing editor in 2014. With this hire, the channel now has two executives at the same post. Though, Ajwani will mainly focus on the channel’s output functions.

    Ajwani has been associated with ABP Group for more than eight years and is known amongst the leading anchors in the Hindi news space today. He has also worked with Zee News as deputy executive producer and has also served stints with DD Sports and Leo Burnett.

    MUMBAI: The management of Channel7 changed hands earlier this year. And the industry was watching what wonders the CNN-IBN editorial team led by Rajdeep Sardesai would work with its programming lineup when it was relaunched. News buffs will not have to wait too long as the channel is relaunching on 5 June with a new on-air look and a tag line to boot – Khabar, Har Keemat par (News, No matter what the cost).

    The new shows it is touting include News Centre, Sports Zone, Bombay Dreams and Hot Seat.

    An hour long show, News Centre will be anchored by managing editor Ashutosh and will encompass all major news from across the country and abroad providing on-ground reportage, studio interviews and in-depth analysis.

    Sports Zone will give a wrapup of key sports stories of the day. Bombay Dreams will zoom in on news from tinsel town and the world of glitz – films and entertainment. Hot Seat’s format will be the talking heads one – with those in the news being grilled one-on-one. Talk shows, debates, crime updates, breakfast shows are also part of the programming mix.
