    Poran Malani joins Creativeland Asia as group CEO

    Mumbai: In an official statement, the global media conglomerate Creativeland Asia, announced the appointment of industry veteran Poran Malani as its group CEO.  

    Malani joins Creativeland Asia with over three decades of experience in Media and Advertising across India, Europe, LATAM, the US, and Far East Asia. He, in the past, has been instrumental in building some of the biggest brands globally, including having built and scaled two major agency networks worldwide.

    “We are happy to have Poran join the Creativeland family and lead the group’s growth and vision across our network of businesses. His formidable experience in the business will allow us to scale and service the industry across the board” said Creativeland Asia Group C. Sajan Raj Kurup, Founder and chairman,.

    The group has offices across India, London and its affiliates in Hollywood, and will see Malani take on the mantle of overseeing the business and formulating synergies across the various group entities.

    S4 Capital begins India operations, hires Poran Malani as director

    MUMBAI: S4 Capital, a marketing service company that was recently launched by Sir Martin Sorrell post his exit from WPP, has started its India operations by opening offices in Mumbai and Bangalore.

    The company has also announced the appointment of former Ogilvy south India president Poran Malani as its director of operations in the country. Malani will head S4Capital, MediaMonks, and MightyHive in India.

    Poran Malani has extensive experience of working in the industry. He has had a successful nine-year stint at Ogilvy, which ended in 2017. He recently founded a marketing and advertising consultancy as well, called ‘Fair Fern’. Prior to that, Malani has had extended his services to agencies like Ogilvy and McCann and had worked for brands like Lenovo and Coca-Cola.

    MUMBAI: Ogilvy Bangalore gets a creative shot in the arm with Mahesh Gharat and Azazul Haque, from the network’s Mumbai office. Gharat and Haque will head the Ogilvy Bangalore creative team in their new roles as Executive Creative Directors.

    With 38 years of work experience between them, the two bring to the table a legacy of experience across major brands, to an already thriving Bangalore team.

    Onthis shift, Ogilvy Sotuh president Poran Malani said, “Azaz and Mahesh, though highly experienced, are young at heart and their energy is highly infectious. It takes something special to excite an already charged up team, and Azaz and Mahesh have done exactly that.”

    Ogilvy & Mather India establishes new management structure

    MUMBAI: Ogilvy & Mather (O&M) India has put in place a new management structure, which will be effective 1 March, 2015.

     

    The announcement was made by O&M executive chairman and creative director – South Asia Piyush Pandey and O&M executive co-chairman and group chief operating officer – South Asia SN Rane.

     

    In a statement, the duo said, “It is time that our very strong senior team joins us in all key management decisions of Ogilvy & Mather. Our clients should look forward to even greater impact from Ogilvy & Mather in the days ahead.”

     

    In the new structure, the current Ogilvy India group chief digital officer Kunal Jeswani is promoted to Ogilvy & Mather India CEO. He will report directly to the chairmen’s office and will work in very close association with Geo/discipline heads, creative, planning and business leaders.

     

    The current Ogilvy India executive finance director Hufrish Birdy is promoted to chief financial officer (CFO). She will also report directly to the chairmen’s office and work in close partnership with Jeswani, Geo and discipline heads and other key stake holders of the company.

     

    Hephzibah Pathak will assume a new role as Ogilvy & Mather India global clients’ director. She will be associated with Vodafone, Mondelez (India+Global), KFC, Unilever, Coke and Fiat. Pathak, working with operation heads of 360 degree offerings, will be responsible for delivery that will meet client expectations. A detailed scope of work is being circulated amongst Geo/discipline heads and their business leaders.

     

    The man who can be credited in building strong planning teams, Kawal Shoor has been promoted to national planning director. He will spearhead the next phase of development of planning and be responsible for the national planning agenda.

     

    To top it all, the board of directors list has also been expanded. The existing India board comprising Pandey, Rane, Madhukar Sabnavis, Poran Malani, Pathak, Miles Young, Paul Heath, Paul Cocks and John Goodman is being expanded. The company has nominated Jeswani (CEO, India), Rajiv Rao (national creative director), Navin Talreja (president – Mumbai and Kolkata geography head) and Birdy (CFO, India) as additional Directors, which will be effective as soon as the legal compliances are completed.
