    POGO partners with Tinkle to launch e-comic series of its new animated show Titoo

    MUMBAI: In an exclusive partnership with iconic kids magazine Tinkle by Amar Chitra Katha, POGO brings to its fans the comic book version of its all-new animated show Titoo-Har Jawaab Ka Sawaal Hu.

    The digital comic adaptation of the show was launched on Monday, August 3. Kids and parents can access and read the fortnightly comic on the Tinkle app, Amar Chitra Katha app, and Magzter app, available for iOS and Android devices.

    Speaking on the collaboration, Amar Chitra Katha president and CEO Preeti Vyas said, “At Tinkle, we take great pride in creating and publishing stories that entertain, engage and enlighten young readers. Over the past 40 years, we have collaborated with a multitude of characters and properties and in 2020 we are thrilled to bring this fresh little character Titoo from POGO to the pages of our magazine for a few special issues.”

    Launched on 27 July, the ‘Titoo – Haw Jawaab Ka Sawaal Hu’ follows the daily escapades of the witty eight-year-old Titoo. He is a good-hearted, intelligent kid who loves to help everyone, but inadvertently manages to brew even more trouble.

    MUMBAI: POGO, homegrown kids’ entertainment channel, is set to launch Titoo – Har Jawaab Ka Sawaal Hu a brand-new animation-comedy series produced by Cosmos Maya. The latest original in POGO’s rich portfolio of locally-made content will air weekdays at 12:30 pm from 27 July.

    Speaking about the launch, Cartoon Network and POGO South Asia Network head Abhishek Dutta said, “Homegrown content is currently the cornerstone of kids’ entertainment in India and POGO has long been a pioneer in recognizing the potential of localized stories. It gives us great pleasure to debut Titoo – Har Jawaab Ka Sawaal Hu, created with a distinctive Indian environment.     POGO’s nationwide promotional launch for Titoo includes brand integrations and branded content production bolstered with digital promotions and on-air activations. The channel has also collaborated with iconic kids’ magazine, Tinkle, and a leading digital parent platform, Momspresso, to amp up the buzz around ‘Titoo’. In addition to Hindi, the new show will also be available in Tamil.

    Cartoon Network and POGO roll out summer activities for stay-at-home kids

    MUMBAI: Cartoon Network and POGO are ushering in summer fun for their fans! Adding some much-needed excitement to the season, the channels have announced month-long digital campaigns. Helmed by awesome toons, Cartoon Network’s #CNHomeFun and POGO’s #WeForTheWorld initiatives aim at piquing family fun through do-it-yourself (DIY) projects, how-to-draw lessons for everyone who is stuck at home.

    Speaking on the campaigns, Cartoon Network and POGO  network head South Asia Abhishek Dutta for said, “During these extraordinary times, it’s a great time for parents to have fun together with their children with Cartoon Network’s #CNHomeFun and POGO’s #WeForTheWorld. Along with the launch of new shows, we wanted to capture imaginations with unique digital-led activations. These multi-platform campaigns have been designed around our most popular shows – like We Bare Bears, The Powerpuff Girls, Grizzy and The Lemmings and Mr. Bean – to bring fans even closer to their favourite characters.”

    The on-going #CNHomeFun campaign on Cartoon Network’s Facebook page (@CartoonNetwork.India) has received an overwhelming response from fans for its art, craft, and fitness activities. These videos feature much-loved toons from popular shows like the newly launched Bandbudh aur Budbak, and other hits such as Dexter’s Laboratory, We Bare Bears and The Powerpuff Girls. Kids can choose from myriad tutorial options including ‘learn to draw dexter’, ‘exercise with ice bear’, ‘push ups with gumball’, and ‘ppg race DIY’.

    POGO launched its #WeForTheWorld initiative on 31 May 2020, on its Facebook page (@POGOTVIndia) with a heartwarming video emphasising solidarity and togetherness. Through its inspiring lyrics, ‘Hum sab saath toh nahi… Phir bhi hum sab ek saath hai’ (Despite the distance, we are still together) the video reminds fans and parents that no matter the distance, we are all in it together. The video is promoted on-air and through POGO’s digital channels.

    #WeForTheWorld will also feature fun and stimulating activities on its social pages, like ‘paper cup magic fun with Mr. Bean’, ‘DIY POGO bookmarks’, ‘DIY race with Grizzy and the Lemmings’. To further boost the initiative, POGO will collaborate with popular influencers. Nidhhi Agerwal, an actor, dancer, and gymnast, will show how to make cookies and sandwiches in her segment ‘#FunWithNidhi’.

    In ‘art and craft activity’ by Kraft Affairs, the store will encourage kids to unleash their creativity and make floral alphabet wall hangings. The videos will be released every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, with Saturdays exclusively featuring influencer-led content – till 30 June  2020.

    POGO prepares for a spectacular month of May with ‘Sun Sunny Bheem’

    POGO, India’s leading homegrown kids’ entertainment channel, has unveiled plans for the summer season with ‘Sun Sunny Bheem’ – a series of fresh content starring superhero Bheem – which will be aired throughout May.

    In its bid to offer hours of fun and entertaining content to young viewers, POGO will telecast four different locally-made animated shows featuring Bheem, who will be seen in his many avatars. An exciting series Chhota Bheem KungFu Dhamaka will air between 1st – 9th May, every day, at 12.30 pm.

    Kids can also be entertained by new Bheem movies every day as part of Bheem Ka Daily Dose starting Friday, 1st May onwards, at 11.30 am, this also includes a movie premiere Chhota Bheem Aur ‘Arazim Ka Raaz’ on Sunday, 10th May at 11.30 am. In addition to this, they can also catch new and exciting episodes of Super Bheem every afternoon starting from 11th May, Monday – Friday, at 12.30 pm.

    MUMBAI: Kids’ favourite character Chhota Bheem is back on television in a brand-new Kung Fu avatar. A new series of 10 episodes of Chhota Bheem Kung Fu Dhamaka premiered on television on 25 April and will be aired every day at 12.30 pm.

    Chhota Bheem Kung Fu Dhamaka movie was released last year and became the first 3D movie released by an Indian company. The movie received a great response from the audience and narrated the journey of the Dholapkur gang, consisting of Chhota Bheem and his friends and how they helped in saving the life of princess Kia in China as they defeated Zuzu. The new series of "Chhota Bheem Kung Fu Dhamaka" will focus on the individual adventures of Chhota Bheem and his friends as the story continues further.

    MUMBAI: India’s homegrown kids’ entertainment channel POGO has partnered with public service broadcaster Doordarshan to simulcast ‘Chhota Bheem’, on DD National. The hugely popular animation features the superhero Bheem who comes all the way from Dholakpur to entertain kids every afternoon from 2-2:30 PM on DD National from April 17- May 3, 2020.

    POGO has commissioned both ‘Titoo’ and ‘Lambuji Tinguji’, produced by Cosmos Maya, and Cartoon Network will air ‘Bandbudh Aur Budbak’, from Paperboat Studios.

    MUMBAI: Abhishek Dutta has been named Senior Director and Network Head -Kids, overseeing Cartoon Network and POGO in South Asia. Based in Mumbai, his responsibilities include programming, channel operations, acquisitions and promotions, as well as the content direction for the two brands.

    WarnerMedia Entertainment Networks South Asia Managing Director Siddharth Jain said, “Abhishek brings with him a strong kids industry experience and I am confident that he will raise the bar of the kids’ portfolio and capitalise on the opportunities that lie ahead of us. I welcome Abhishek to the WarnerMedia family.”

    Dutta will also be working closely with and under the direction of Leslie Lee, VP of Kids Content, WarnerMedia Entertainment Networks APAC.

    Dutta has more than two decades of experience and expertise in the media and entertainment industry. He has been a part of four successful TV channel launches as well as a digital platform focussing on kids in India. Besides his creative and programming skills, his technical skills include sound recording, voicing, music mixing and editing.

    Dutta added, “The kids TV category has become more exciting than ever before.     His career includes stints at ALT Balaji, Discovery Networks India and, most recently, was Senior Kids Programming Director at Viacom18, a company he joined in 2016. His various roles have included programming, channel operations and management, content development and acquisitions, and animation development.

    Dutta is a sports enthusiast and has won multiple honours for volleyball and handball. He has also been involved in the National Cadets Corps and has represented his platoon as the commander in India’s Republic Day parade.

    MUMBAI: For the 14th edition of the annual School Contact Programme (SCP), India’s favourite kids’ channels, Cartoon Network and POGO collaborated with Sucheta Pal, Ambassador, Zumba® Fitness to engage with school kids at Holy Name High School, Colaba in Mumbai.

    Sucheta Pal and Ben 10 brought together the magic of Zumba® Kids at Cartoon Network’s SCP with ‘Be Fit’ as the focus this year. The fitness session helped kids understand the importance of physical activities in their daily lives, in Cartoon Network style. On the other hand, Sucheta with her friend superhero from Dholakpur Bheem highlighted the significance of friendship as the duo came together for another fun Zumba® Kids session to promote POGO’s SCP theme ‘Friends Forever’. Students were overjoyed to see their favourite toons as they danced with them to learn new Zumba techniques to get fit and stay healthy.

    Keeping the fun quotient high, Sucheta Pal created an immersive experience for students, inspired by various dance forms such as hip-hop, salsa, belly dance, bhangra etc.
