    Pocket FM’s ‘Insta Empire’ becomes fifth Rs 100 crore audio blockbuster of the year

    Mumbai: Audio series platform Pocket FM has announced its blockbuster audio series, ‘Insta Empire,’ entering into the coveted Rs 100 crore club.  This achievement marks Pocket FM’s fifth audio blockbuster to reach this milestone in this year after Insta Millionaire, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To (Saving Nora), The Return and The Billionaire Accidental Wife. The platform currently has almost 20 more audio series that turned into million-dollar titles. The audio series has already garnered over 250 million plays worldwide, and is available in English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.

    Marking the success of its fifth Rs 100 crore blockbuster, the company has launched a special video promo for the audience. It features celebrated actors and social media influencers Nishant Malkaani and Nyrraa M Banerji as the protagonists of the series.

    Insta Empire tells the story of Naksh (played by Nishant), who lives as the poor son-in-law of a rich Indian family. Despite enduring insults and mistreatment from his in-laws due to his poverty, Naksh deeply loves his wife Anika (played by Nayra). Their relationship strains when Anika decides to leave him for a wealthier man. However, Naksh has a hidden secret: he is actually the heir to Surat’s richest family but was rejected and cast out after a risky decision. A twist of fate reveals his true identity, transforming him into an overnight billionaire and the owner of an Insta Empire.

    Mumbai: This World No Tobacco Day, audio series platform Pocket FM took a creative approach to raise awareness about the adverse effects of smoking with ‘The Coughing Episode’. The thought-provoking campaign on its social media pages was driven by a unique audio twist to encourage Pocket FM’s community to consider a tobacco-free lifestyle.

    Pocket FM’s social media channels such as Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube buzzed with a special 71-second episode. In this special episode, a narrator experienced a persistent cough – a common consequence of smoking. However, the episode soon turned into a powerful message about the harmful effects of smoking, encouraging listeners to lead a tobacco-free life.

    Complementing the online efforts, Pocket FM aired a multi-city public service announcement across radio stations like Fever FM and Radio One. The public service announcement used humour to connect the dots between smoking and a raspy voice, urging listeners to take the pledge to quit smoking, reminding everyone that a healthy lifestyle is the real soundtrack of a great life.

The event also explored the remarkable theatrical success of Indian cinema and unraveled the secrets behind its unprecedented profits, with a critical eye towards its sustainability.

    The session was chaired by Radioandmusic.com editor Namrata Kale. It included the following panelists: writer & director Pubali Chaudhuri, screenwriter Ishani Banerjee, Majburi Main Bandha Ek Rishta writer Jigyasa and Pocket FM head – branding and communications Vineet Singh.

    The panel discussion shed light on the challenges writers face in the audio, film, and OTT industries, stressing the need for recognition, fair contracts, and empowerment.
