  • Lowe Lintas appoints Naveen Gaur as COO

    MUMBAI: MullenLowe Lintas Group has announced the elevation of Naveen Gaur as the chief operating officer, Lowe Lintas. He was until now the president of Lowe Lintas in charge of the New Delhi (NCR) operations.

    Effective immediately, Naveen would oversee Lowe Lintas’ offices in New Delhi (NCR), Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata. He continues to be based in New Delhi and will report to Raj Gupta, whose elevation to CEO, Lowe Lintas was announced a few days back.

    Commenting on the appointment, MullenLowe Lintas Group chairman & CEO Joseph George said: “Naveen has played a significant role in strengthening Lowe Lintas’ operations of New Delhi (NCR) and has had an incredibly successful run the past 5 years. His proven track record of driving growth and creative excellence makes him a very strong support for the Lowe Lintas leadership of Arun Iyer and Raj Gupta as we put in place an ambitious and futuristic roadmap for the agency.”

    Commenting on his appointment, Naveen Gaur said: “It’s a great opportunity and a privilege to further strengthen this great agency, as we move into this ever changing dynamic business environment. I look forward to partnering with Arun and Raj to drive this agenda.”

    Naveen joined Lowe Lintas in 2010 as Branch Head, Delhi. Over the years, he has built a strong team of professionals and encouraged an entrepreneurial culture of growth and creative excellence. Under his leadership, the Delhi office added clients like OLX, Sun Pharma, Pernod Ricard, Cargill Foods, Google among others over the past few years. He even led his team to win major accolades across effectiveness award shows each year over the past seven years.

    In a career spanning over two decades, Naveen has built a startup health and wellness, been the Chief Growth Officer at McCann Worldgroup India, and Business Director (at McCann) for clients such as Coca-Cola, Mastercard, Microsoft, Reckitt & Colman, General Motors, Bacardi, Dabur amongst others.

    Lowe Lintas names Shayondeep Pal as Delhi creative head

    MUMBAI: Lowe Lintas has named executive creative director Shayondeep Pal as its creative head in Delhi. Pal takes over from Shriram Iyer, who was recently named Mullen Lintas NCD. 

     

    Pal will report to Lowe Lintas chief creative officer Arun Iyer.

     

    Pal has been part of the creative team in Delhi for more than six years and is involved in the creative execution of a number of campaigns for clients in the region like OLX, Micromax, Hindustan Times, Maruti Suzuki, Google and Pernod Ricard.

     

    Iyer said, “Delhi has been surging ahead with creative offerings that are top-notch and Shayondeep Pal has had an integral role to play in its success. With a creative firepower that’s palpable and the thirst to do more, I cannot wait to see what he has in store to drive the office in Delhi. I wish him the best in his new role at the agency.”

     

    Pal has been the creative lead on Micromax for the last four years and has worked on campaigns like Sliver 5 with Hugh Jackman, Qube, Canvas HD and Canvas 2. In fact, he has also directed a few commercials for Micromax. 

     

    He has also worked on the Hindustan Times campaign ‘You Read, They Learn,’ which went on to win an award at Cannes Lions in 2013.

     

    Pal said, “I am lucky enough to be part of a great team in Delhi. The opportunities are endless and I want to approach it with an open mind. The great thing is that the mandate is clear: how to make our brands famous and therefore, how to make our people famous. I want to make this place a talent magnet where people would line up to join us. One clear approach would be to look at the creative output from a holistic angle – through new media, unexplored media and not just 30-second commercials.”

    Grey India appoints Vishal Ahluwalia as Bangalore head

    MUMBAI: Grey Group India has appointed Vishal Ahluwalia as vice president and office head of its Bangalore ops. He will be reporting to Grey Group India chairman and managing director Sunil Lulla.

     

    Ahluwalia joins Grey with two decades of marketing communications experience, across various geographies and disciplines. In his various avatars, he has headed businesses and has been an entrepreneur. Until recently, he worked as a member of the Board of IRIS Worldwide, in which he spearheaded the digital and retail verticals. Prior to that he was TBWA South India head; JWT -Taipei head for Unilever business and has also had stints with Contract and JWT.

     

    “Vishal brings a great blend of advertising savviness and digital smarts to Grey. His experience across geographies and diverse categories, will strengthen the leadership team at Grey. He will take further our integrated offerings to various clients and enable their brands to be famous and effective,” said Lulla.

     

    Ahluwalia added, “I am very excited about the prospect to bring my skills across various stream to Grey Group’s rich and diverse client roster. I do believe the future requires us to be able to deliver services in a wholesome and integrated fashion. The ranking was undertaken by one of Asia’s leading brand rating companies, World Consulting & Research Corporation (WCRC) in association with KPMG. 

     

    Royal Stag has been awarded “The 100 most valuable brands of the year” in the country in terms of innovation, aspiration and admiration from a shortlist of nearly 750 brands.
