  • Leading companies to showcase products at Broadcast India 2004 exhibition

    MUMBAI: The 14th Broadcast India 2004 exhibition will be held from 28 – 30 October at World Trade Centre Mumbai. More than 300 world’s leading companies from 30 countries will showcase their products and latest technology in the conference.

    The exhibition will be preceded by a two-day symposium from 26 – 27 October.

    More than 21000 trade personnel from India as well as its neighboring countries are expected to visit the three-day exhibition, making this event the biggest and the best in India.

    For the fourth time this show will incorporate a technical Awards ceremony sponsored by Seagate International. On the evening of 28 October, 2004 “Seagate Technical Awards for Excellence in Digital Technology in the field of Cinema and Television” will be given to the best of professionals in this field, added the release.

  • Anupam Kher inaugurates Broadcast India exhibition

    MUMBAI: The 13th Broadcast India Symposium – a two day trade exhibition – was inaugurated this year by Censor Board chief Anupam Kher recently.
    The exhibition saw 355 brand names from 30 countries spread over multiple halls of the World Trade Centre in Mumbai, a company release informs.
    At the exhibition, as usual, the Seagate Technical Awards were given away to honour excellence in digital technology for films and television.
    The awards function, which comprises 11 categories, covers all aspects of digital technology used in production and post production of films and television.
    This year, the awards were handed over to the winners by Ad Labs chain of theatres director Pooja Shetty in a scintillating evening of entertainment and music. The awards ceremony has now become synonymous with the Broadcast India show, the release says.
    Among the highlights of the symposium and exhibition was digital cinema. With over 100 theatres installed, and 400 more scheduled to join, digital cinema is one of the fastest growing industry. During the exhibition, Times Cinema showcased their fool-proof technology on piracy proof servers with high luminance for digital theatres.
    Among the international brand which demonstrated their latest hardware and technology were Panasonic, JVC, Matrox, Benchmark, ARRI, Leitch/DPS, Seagate, Matrox, Apple, Pinnacle, P+S Technik, Panther, Genelec, Tascam, Sennheiser, Avid, Quantel, Autocue, Da Vinci, Thomson Grassvalley, Softimage, Alias Wavefront, Crooke Optics, BDL, ARRI (GB).
