  • Kellogg’s to bring out Chocos ‘Star Wars Episode III’ pack

    MUMBAI: Breakfast cereals major Kellogg’s has introduced a new Chocos Star Wars limited edition pack with the intention of giving the consumer an out of the world Star Wars experience.

    The promotion is part of the global association between Kellogg’s and the season’s most eagerly awaited movie Star Wars Episode III. The partnership with Star Wars Episode III will be leveraged across most countries in the world through local promotions and products.

     
     
    The limited edition pack food will be planet and star shaped keeping in line with the Star Wars theme. Creating the Star Wars adventure, Kellogg’s will be giving away specially designed battery powered light up saber spoons that light up in two attractive blue and red colors with the limited edition pack and saber maze game with every pack of Kellogg’s Chocos & Chocos Planet and Stars in India.

    “Kellogg’s Chocos is built on the core equity of fun and adventure. Our aim is to bring a never before unique Star Wars Jedi experience through Chocos to kids across India. With specially designed planet and star shaped Kellogg’s Chocos, the special toy box packaging and the fun filled giveaways, kids can start the day with real Jedi action and watch the spoon light up when you push the button to activate the force within,” said Kellogg India managing director K. Venkatachalam.

     
     
    “Our communication for Kellogg’s Chocos has been based on the adventure platform. Star Wars is all about adventure and linking Chocos with Star Wars Episode III was an obvious extension for us, thereby providing our consumers with the complete adventure experience,” Venkatachalam added.

    The limited edition Kellogg’s Chocos Star Wars Episode III with the special toy box packaging, size 625 gms, will be available in stores across India for the period of May.

  • Pepsi introduces Slice in Pet pack

    MUMBAI: Come summer time and the soft drink majors go out of their way to entice consumers with goodies and promotions.

    As part of its efforts to introduce innovative packaging Pepsi has launched the mango beverage Slice in the international standard Pet pack for the first time in India.

     

    The 500-ml Pet Slice costs Rs 18 and has been introduced in Pune, Nasik, Aurangabad and Sholapur. The new pack will be gradually extended to other markets.

    The above mentioned Pet pack is being launched with the tagline “Go Man-Go”. It is being communicated to consumers through point-of-sale merchandise and outdoor signage.

  • McDowell’s No. 1 launches special limited edition cricket pack

    MUMBAI: Cashing in on World Cup cricket mania, McDowell & Co has announced the launch of the Special Edition Cricket World Cup pack for its flagship brand McDowell’s No.1 Whisky.
     

     
    Presenting a collector’s item for cricket lovers, McDowell & Co., which claims to be India’s largest spirits manufacturing and marketing company, has announced that the pack is designed to commemorate the cricket World Cup, billed as the mega show which happens once in four years.

    The unique cricket World Cup of McDowell’s No.1 has the classic gold look emblazoned with flags of all the 14 participating nations. A calendar of tournament fixtures printed on the pack will help cricket buffs stay tuned in to the World Cup throughout – from February 8 to March 23.

    Speaking about the initiative, UB group spirits divisional vice president (marketing) Alok Gupta says: “Just as the appeal of cricket cuts across all consumer groups, mega-brand McDowell’s No.1 too has a wide appeal transcending all segments. In order to give our consumers something to commemorate their favourite sporting carnival, we have introduced the Limited Edition Cricket World Cup Pack.”

    “We also regularly delight our consumers with special packs during their favourite festivals like Holi, Diwali and New Year. In the last year we’ve taken this a step further by introducing special packs even for regional festivals like Baisakhi in Punjab, Carnival in Goa, and the Pujas in Bengal. Such initiatives go a long way in cementing the bond this mega brand shares with its consumers,” he adds.

    A release says that McDowell’s No.1 Whisky, the flagship brand of McDowell & Co, is a perfect blend of the finest imported scotch and Indian malt whiskies. The brand has reigned supreme in the Indian whisky market for over a decade and is today the eight largest selling whisky in the world.

    The release adds that McDowell’s No.1 Whisky is a millionaire brand and sells close to close to 4 million cases a year in the Indian market. Despite stiff competition, McDowell No.1 Whisky has remained the leader with a market share of over 40 per cent.
