    Mondelez International sets Guinness World Record to celebrate $3.1 billion sales milestone

    MUMBAI: Mondelez International, Inc. is taking playful cookie moments to the next level with a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title-attempt! Mondelez International today announced the company set a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the most people dunking cookies across multiple venues.  The fun record attempt was coordinated to celebrate the OREO cookie brand reaching a major milestone of $3.1 billion in annual net revenues by end of 2019.

    The record attempt began January 30 at 8.30 am CST when the Mondelēz International team across the world was invited to twist, lick and dunk OREO cookies simultaneously as part of a live streaming event. Employees from 55 locations representing 32 countries around the globe participated in the attempt, setting a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title with 5,066 people dunking cookies.

This limited-edition gift pack contains crunchy cookies and a music system which comes along with fun Oreo tunes. Ushering in the festive season with a musical twist, this latest innovation by Oreo is the perfect gifting option for your loved ones and will be available only for two days exclusively on Amazon India on 15 and 16 July 2019, during Amazon Prime Day.

    MUMBAI: Mondelez International’s biscuit brand Oreo is expanding its trajectory in India with the launch of Oreo Cadbury Dipped – Oreo cookies coated in deliciously smooth chocolaty Cadbury. As per the company this is in line with Mondelez International’s vision of ‘Snacking Made Right’, which promises to offer the consumers the right snack, for the right moment, made the right way.

    The launch opens up a new segment for Mondelez India, after entering the Creams segment with Oreo and Cookies segment with Bournvita Biscuits. Mondelez India head – biscuits category Sudhanshu Nagpal said, “The launch of Oreo Cadbury Dipped stems from our constant endeavour to expand the brand’s narrative and consumption occasions.     MUMBAI: Oreo, the cream sandwich biscuit brand by Mondelēz International, takes the special ritual of ‘Twist, Lick, Dunk’ forward, rolling out its new global campaign called, Oreo People, simultaneously across 50 markets in AMEA, LA, MEU and will be localised with nuances to drive relevance.

    The new global creative platform is the latest installment of the brand’s Wonderfilled campaign. Oreo People is built on the idea that when we connect with Oreo, playfulness is evoked in us all despite differences, playing with Oreo brings people together. Every time an Oreo cookie is twisted and opened, a new playful side comes out which is optimistic with limitless possibilities.  

    The campaign is especially designed to engage with consumers in today’s multi-screen, short-attention-span world with exciting visuals and irresistible music, extending across all channels, with a strong focus on digital.

    The new TVC displays a wide-cross section of people and how they enjoy their Oreo cookies, making the much-loved brand relevant to them. With this latest creative platform, Mondelez India aims to widen the appeal of the brand in the country, while continuing to play on its core territory.

    MUMBAI: Oreo, the world’s No.1 biscuit brand by Cadbury India (a part of Mondelez International), made a place for itself in the record books of GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS ™ for Most people dunking cookies. The record-breaking event, conducted at IIT Powai on Sunday, December 22, 2013, during the institute’s cultural festival – MoodI, saw over 1796 people discovering the fun of enjoying Oreo in the ‘Twist, Lick, Dunk’ style together. The previous record was set in Argentina where 1503 people participated.

    Oreo’s special ritual of ‘Twist, Lick, Dunk’ has been enjoyed by millions of consumers around the world for nearly hundred years. This ritual of Oreo has been at the heart of numerous warm family moments of childlike delight that everyone treasures. With the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS event, Oreo aims to engage more consumers in this unique ritual and bring alive the brand experience.

  • Indigo Consulting beefs up its creative force

    MUMBAI: Indigo Consulting has made additions to its creative department to further strengthen its team. The digital agency that operates under Leo Burnett in India has got back Viresh Pawar and Monish Beloskar who have rejoined the agency in the capacity of senior group head creative and group head creative respectively to help drive Indigo Consulting’s creative mandate.

    Former creative strategist for Jack In The Box Worldwide, Manav Parekh, has also joined the agency as associate creative director – copy.

    Indigo Consulting creative director Navin Balakrishnan said, “With an ever-evolving business environment, in which consumers are co-creators of brands, creativity ultimately sets a brand apart. At Indigo Consulting, we want our clients to be those brands – the ones that are known for their creative breakthroughs.     Prior to committing to his second stint at Indigo Consulting, Pawar worked with Interface Communications where he was senior supervisor, web design. Over the past decade, he has helped build digital identities for brands such as Oreo, Mahindra, HDFC Bank, HSBC Bank, BPL Mobile and Wipro.

    Beloskar has 12 years of experience in interactive design. He rejoins the agency, from Puretech, where he was the design lead. His portfolio includes work for brands such as Gatorade, Kurkure, Panasonic, WWF, CondeNast Traveller and Piramal Group.

    As a creative strategist, Parekh has worked on brands such as Red Bull India, Sony Music, PUMA, Windows Phone, Adobe India, Budweiser and Bacardi. In his new role at Indigo Consulting, he will work closely with Balakrishnan to assist in the ideation process as well as guide and nurture talent in the team.
