    Chrome Data: Eight metros see a hike in week 34

    MUMBAI: The week 34 of the opportunity to see (OTS) collated by Chrome Data Analytics and Media saw a rise in different genres in the eight metros.

     

    English Movies gained the maximum with 2.6 per cent and Movies Now topping the chart with 72 per cent OTS.

     

    The genre was closely followed by English Entertainment channels with 2.4 per cent hike. AXN with 66 per cent OTS gained the most in the category.

     

    Business News and English News genre came in next with 1.5 per cent and 0.8 per cent OTS, respectively. In the particular categories, CNBC Awaaz continued its reign in the genre with 75.8 per cent OTS while Times Now reigned supreme with 86 per cent OTS.

     

    Only one genre witnessed a drop during that week. Hindi News channels in the Hindi speaking markets (HSM) fell by 0.3 per cent. ABP News with 95.9 per cent OTS gained the most in the genre.

    MUMBAI: Following the previous week’s trend, week 32 of Chrome Data Analytics and Media too saw only one gainer when it comes to opportunity to see (OTS).

     

    Sports across India jumped 2.6 per cent. Ten Sports in the category garnered 75.4 per cent OTS.

     

    The eight metros saw a huge fall when it came to English Entertainment and English Movies. English Entertainment genre fell 6.4 per cent closely followed by English Movies with 6.3 per cent. Star World with 65.9 per cent OTS and Movies Now with 73.6 per cent OTS topped their respective genres.

     

    Kids channels across India fell by 2.9 per cent. Cartoon Network with 78.7 per cent OTS topped the genre.

     

    English News in the eight metros dropped by 2.6 per cent with Times Now as the reigning channel in the genre with 87.2 per cent.

    MUMBAI: After seeing a peak in opportunity to see (OTS) of various genres collated by Chrome Data Analytics & Media, week 29 didn’t see much rise.

     

    Only two genres namely music and religious channels in the Hindi speaking markets (HSM) saw a jump of 0.4 per cent and 0.2 per cent, respectively.

     

    Sony Mix continued ruling the charts in the genre with 87.9 per cent OTS. Similarly, Aastha channel with 95.9 per cent OTS topped the genre.

     

    The week saw steep drops with English Entertainment channels in the eight metros with 4.3 per cent drop in the genre. AXN with 70.4 per cent OTS maintained its rein in the category.

     

    Business News in the eight metros followed with 3.5 per cent drop. However, Zee Business remained on top with 76.8 per cent OTS.

     

    English Movies with 2.6 per cent and English News with 2.3 per cent too saw a drop in the eight metros. Movies Now with 72.9 per cent OTS and Times Now with 85.2 per cent OTS topped their respective genres.

    MUMBAI: As per Chrome Data Analytics & Media which collates opportunity to see (OTS), week 27 didn’t see any gain.

     

    Hindi Movies in the Hindi speaking markets (HSM) rose marginally by 0.4 per cent. Sony Max continued its successful run with 95.9 per cent OTS.

     

    Music channels in the HSM and Infotainment channels across India gained 0.2 per cent. Sony Mix with 88.3 per cent OTS and National Geographic Channel with 86.2 per cent OTS gained in their respective genres.

     

    However, a lot of genres did see downsize. English Entertainment channels in the eight metros saw the maximum fall of 2.3 per cent. AXN with 70.1 per cent OTS reigned in the genre.

     

    English movies in eight metros and sports channels across India saw a drop of 1.9 per cent. Movies Now with 75.1 per cent OTS and Ten Sports with 76.1 per cent OTS were at top, respectively.

     

    Business News dropped 1.8 per cent in the eight metros. Zee Business with 77.5 per cent OTS was the topper of the category.

    MUMBAI: In week 24, four categories witnessed a rise in the opportunity to see (OTS) collated by Chrome Data Analytics & Media. The gainers are – Music genre with a slight jump of 1 per cent, followed by English News which witnessed 0.7 per cent jump in eight metros. While Business News genre saw a growth of 0.3 per cent in the eight metros, Religious channels witnessed the same growth but in HSM markets.

     

    Interestingly, all the other genres saw a downward trend in the OTS with 0.7 per cent fall. Thus, English Entertainment and English Movies saw a fall in the eight metros, while Infotainment and Sports saw a fall in all India.

     

    Coming back to the Music genre, Sony Mix topped the genre with 89.2 per cent OTS. In the English News category, Times Now topped with 88.2 per cent OTS while CNN secured the last position with 60.6 per cent OTS.

     

    Talking about Business News in the eight metros, Zee Business topped with 79.5 per cent OTS whereas in Religious channel genre, Aastha stood at the top with 96.6 per cent OTS.

    MUMBAI: As per opportunity to see (OTS) collated by Chrome Data Analysis & Media, the week 17 saw religious channels in Hindi speaking markets (HSM) and Infotainment across India rising by 0.7 per cent.

     

    Aastha channel, as usual, continued to rule the genre with 97.5 per cent OTS while in the infotainment section, National Geographic Channel toppled Discover to be on the top. The channel garnered 86.8 per cent OTS.

     

    Hindi news in HSM saw a jump of 0.6 per cent. In the genre ABP News again ruled the roost with 93.4 per cent OTS.

     

    Next came in music genre with 0.5 per cent growth in the HSM. Sony Mix topped the chart with 88.8 per cent OTS.

     

    In the bottom four, English news as well as Business news channels in the eight metros dropped by 0.4 per cent. Times Now with 84.9 per cent OTS was the highest gainer in the English news genre. Zee Business gained 79.5 per cent OTS in its genre.

     

    English entertainment channels in the eight metros gained 0.2 per cent with AXN continuing its run on the top with 70.7 per cent OTS.

    MUMBAI: Unlike last week, week 15 didn’t see much of an increase or drop in the opportunity to see (OTS) data collated by Chrome Data Analytics & Media.

     

    The maximum gain was of mere 1.1 per cent for Business news channels in the eight metros. Zee Business gained the most with 78.3 per cent OTS.

     

    Music genre in the Hindi speaking market (HSM) jumped 0.8 per cent with Sony Mix continuing its grip on the top with 88 per cent OTS.

     

    It was closely followed by the English entertainment channels in the eight metros with 0.6 per cent gain. AXN continued its ruling the roster with 70.7 per cent OTS. Hindi News channels in the HSM came in last in the top gainers list with just 0.3 per cent gain. ABP News gained 94.2 per cent OTS.

     

    As for the bottom three, Infotainment channels saw a drop of 0.7 per cent. Discovery channels saw 85.9 per cent OTS. English news and English movie channels in the eight metros fell 0.2 per cent and 0.1 per cent, respectively.

     

    In their respective categories, Times Now and Pix continued to remain on top with 88.3 per cent and 77 per cent OTS.

    MUMBAI: The week 14 brought good news for the Hindi news channels as per the opportunity to see (OTS) data collated by Chrome Data Analytics and Media.

     

    In the Hindi speaking market (HSM), the genre saw a jump of 3 per cent. ABP News was on top with 93.8 per cent OTS. The genre was followed by Hindi movies in the HSM which saw a 1.5 per cent increase and Star Gold gaining 94.9 per cent OTS.

     

    Hindi GECs in the HSM and Kids genre across India both gained 1.1 per cent. DD National with 97.1 per cent OTS ruled the charts in the Hindi GEC genre whereas Cartoon Network continued its run on the top with 81.9 per cent OTS.

     

    In the bottom four, the maximum fall was witnessed by English entertainment channels in the eight metros. The genre fell 7.4 per cent; however, AXN ranked number one with 70.9 per cent OTS.

     

    There was a minor difference between Business news and English movies genre. In the eight metros, Business channels dropped 5.9 per cent while English movies saw a drop of 5.8 per cent. Zee Business with 79.9 per cent OTS and Pix with 77 per cent OTS topped their respective genres.

     

    Sports channels across India too fell 3.7 per cent with Ten Sports continuing its run on the top with 75.4 per cent OTS.

    MUMBAI: The week 13’s opportunity to see (OTS) data collated by Chrome Data Analytics and Media is out.

     

    As per the data collected, English News channels in the eight metros saw a jump of 2.2 per cent with Times Now topping the genre with 87.4 per cent OTS.

     

    English movie genre ranked second in the eight metros with 1.3 per cent gain. Pix gained the maximum with 76.8 per cent OTS. The genre was followed by the kids channels across India with 1 per cent rise. Cartoon Network continued to rule the roost with 83.8 per cent OTS.

     

    English entertainment channels in the eight metros saw a minor jump of 0.6 per cent with AXN gaining the maximum with 70.7 per cent OTS.

     

    As for the bottom four, the genre which saw the highest drop amongst others was Business news in the eight metros. The genre dropped 2.1 per cent; however, Zee Business was the highest gainer in the genre with 85.6 per cent OTS.

     

    Next was Hindi News in the Hindi Speaking Market (HSM) with a 0.7 per cent drop. ABP News got 92.9 per cent OTS in the genre.

     

    Sports genre across India saw a very minor drop of 0.1 per cent. Star Sports 1 continued to rule the genre with 74.5 per cent.

    MUMBAI: No major change happened in week nine as per the opportunity to see (OTS) data collated by Chrome Data Analytics & Media for the week.

     

    The highest gainers of the week were the business news channels in the eight metros which saw a jump of 1.2 per cent. Zee Business was the highest gainer in the genre with 80.5 per cent OTS.

     

    All across India, the kids’ genre came second with a jump of 0.7 per cent from last week. Cartoon Network continued to rein supreme in the category with 84.8 per cent OTS.

     

    In the Hindi speaking market (HSM), Hindi news channels saw a rise of 0.6 per cent with Aaj Tak taking the lead and garnering 92.9 per cent OTS.

     

    At the bottom was the infotainment genre across India with a minor rise of 0.1 per cent. Discovery leads the path here with 89.4 per cent OTS.

     

    Religious channels in the HSM saw a drop of 0.8 per cent but Aastha channel continued its winning streak with 97.7 per cent OTS.

     

    Hindi movies in the HSM and English news channels in the eight metros both saw a drop of 0.5 per cent. Max was the blockbuster in the genre with 95.5 per cent OTS and Times Now gained 87.8 per cent OTS.

     

    English entertainment came in last with 0.3 per cent fall in the eight metros. AXN topped the genre with 70.5 per cent OTS.
