    Mumbai: Onsitego, a device care company, has announced a strategic partnership with Pine Labs, a leading platform for EMI payments. Under this partnership, the companies aim to provide easy EMI options to consumers while purchasing Onsitego’s extended warranty and damage protection plans for their new devices. Over the past few years there has been significant increase in EMI based purchase. While affordability solutions were always available for devices, there were very few options of clubbing protection plans with devices. The partnership will allow two companies to offer the customers a unique value proposition of getting both their devices and protection plans covered under a single EMI option.

    Onsitego chief revenue officer Gaurav Agarwal said, “As payment preferences evolve, we recognize the importance of offering flexible and convenient options for our customers. Our collaboration with Pine Labs will enable us to expand the device protection market and extend the benefit of our hassle-free service to a much wider audience.”

    Pine Labs chief growth officer – affordability business Mayur Mulani remarked, “We are delighted to partner Onsitego and help them in their quest to provide worry-free device protection to their customers by integrating easy pay later payment options at the point of sale.     Onsitego and Pine Labs will be working together to expand the reach of this offering across all offline retailers – both modern trade and general trade.

    Onsitego acquires Qdigi Services from Quess Corp Rs 80 cr

    Mumbai: Onsitego, a device-care provider, has announced the acquisition of Qdigi Services from Quess Corp Ltd, India’s leading business services provider.

    Qdigi provides installation, repair, and maintenance services to leading OEMs like Samsung, Apple, One Plus, Xiaomi etc., and online retailers like Amazon. The company has 1400 employees and operates 100 company-owned & 200 plus franchise service centers.

    Qdigi’s capabilities highly complement the device protection business of Onsitego. The acquisition will help Onsitego further enrich its customer service experience and open up new areas of growth such as approaching OEM partners and retailers with new market offerings.

    As part of the transaction, the entire team and business of Qdigi will be transferred to Onsitego. Onsitego will pay total cash consideration of Rs 80 cr., subject to customary closing adjustments. In addition, Quess will be acquiring a minority stake in Onsitego. The transaction is expected to be completed over the next two to three months.

    Onsitego launches a fund to support service partners during COVID-19

    MUMBAI: After-sales services company Onsitego recently announced the ‘Onsitego Cares Fund’ initiative, introduced for financial assistance to employees and service partners facing distress during the time of lockdown. Any employee or service center staff affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in need of funds, can make use of the ‘No Questions Asked’ Onsitego Cares Fund.

    The company is extending interest-free funds of up to Rs. 12 lacs to select service partners that can be repaid anytime. Service center staff can write to the email ID provided to them mentioning the name and reason why they would like to use the fund. Onsitego will then process the payment within 24 hours without asking any questions.

    For employees, it is providing a total grant of Rs. 10 lacs. Employees earning under Rs. 40,000 are entitled to an amount of up to 7 days of pay. Onsitego highlights that this is not an advance against salary and that employees who use this fund will not have to repay later.
