Prime Video announces immersive & localised cricket experience for Ind vs. NZ series from 18 Nov

Mumbai: Streaming service, Prime Video, amps up the excitement around the Indian cricket team’s tour of New Zealand beginning 18 November, with a series of announcements. In a first for Prime Video India, the service will show advertisements during live cricket matches. It has signed up Airtel Xstream Fiber as the presenting sponsor, and MPL, Nescafé, Noise, OLX Autos, and Vida have come on board as associate sponsors. Meanwhile, brands including AMFI and DBS join as advertisers.

This move will help brands reach Prime Video’s premium base of highly engaged customers spread across the country.

India and New Zealand both reached the semi-finals of the Twenty20 World Cup in Australia but lost their matches. They will now play a limited-overs series consisting of three T20s and three ODIs between 18 and 30 November. Prime Video is the official India territory rights holder to exclusively stream all men’s and women’s cricket matches played in New Zealand.

Prime Video India director of SVoD business Sushant Sreeram said, “There are many things that are heterogeneous about the delightfully diverse India when it comes to entertainment—be it choice of language, genres of shows and movies, devices that customers prefer watching their favourite entertainment on, and so much more. But there is one absolute unifier that everyone across the country is unanimously passionate about, and that’s cricket! With our slate of compelling shows and movies over the last six years, we have strived to super-serve our customers, and they have emphatically picked Prime Video as their most loved entertainment destination. Now, with live cricket made immersive and accessible through multi-language feeds, fantastic studio programming, and a superb set of commentators to guide us through the series, we are confident that we will not only deliver a superior experience for the country’s legions of cricket fans, but also make Prime Video the first choice of entertainment for everyone.”

“India and New Zealand have both been at the top of their white ball games in the recent past, and we expect some explosive cricket in the coming weeks from two of the best teams in the world as the cricketing action now moves from Australia to New Zealand,” he added.

Prime Video will deliver live commentary and match-programming in English, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Telugu. Fans will also be treated to graphics in these languages. Former captains and cricketers like Ravi Shastri, Zaheer Khan, Ashish Nehra, Gundappa Viswanath, Anjum Chopra, and Venkatpathy Raju, among others, will be bringing the matches alive with their insightful commentary in different languages as India tries to set the record straight against New Zealand. The BlackCaps knocked the Men in Blue out of the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup and also defeated India in the inaugural World Test Championship final in 2021.

The full slate of commentators for the series includes the following names:

English: Ravi Shastri, Harsha Bhogle, Anjum Chopra, Simon Doull, and Murali Kartik. Gaurav Kapoor will be the presenter.

Hindi: Zaheer Khan, Ashish Nehra, Ajay Jadeja, Mohammad Kaif, and Ajit Agarkar.

Telugu: Venkatpathy Raju, Sunitha Anand, Sudhir Malwvedi, and Vijay Malwvedi.

The cricket experience for the fans doesn’t stop here. Prime Video will also offer an English-language live one-hour pre-show before each game. The mid-innings break will feature a 15-minute show that will be a recap of the first inning and a preview of the second. The live programming also involves a 30-minute post-match presentation and analysis by Prime Video’s stable of cricket experts.

Curating a new viewing experience for live sports, Prime Video will offer customers new features like an in-game language selector and “Rapid Recap.” The in-game language selector will allow customers to change languages (e.g., from English to Hindi) seamlessly without exiting the player. Customers joining a game in progress can catch-up on impactful game highlights using the “Rapid Recap” feature before transitioning to the live stream automatically.

To watch the matches, consumers can go to the Prime Video app on their respective devices, where they will be able to find the live match featured on the home page. On Android and Smart TV devices, they can select the Cricket tab in the top navigation. The Cricket section’s landing page will include live matches as well as full replays of previous matches. Consumers can choose a language stream of their choice to enjoy the match. The page will also feature the key highlights of the matches—Super Sixes and short highlights—for a quick catch-up. • OLX Autos collaborates with Rohit Shetty to launch its fourth ad film under ‘Shetty Ke Car-Naame’ campaign

OLX Autos collaborates with Rohit Shetty to launch its fourth ad film under ‘Shetty Ke Car-Naame’ campaign

Mumbai: India’s pre-owned automobile segment OLX Autos, along with Bollywood director Rohit Shetty and actor Sharman Joshi have released their fourth ad film titled ‘Normal Car’ under the ‘Shetty ke Car-Naame’ campaign. This film would be the final leg in their campaign.

The campaign, conceptualised by Lowe Lintas Delhi, once again resonates and showcases OLX Autos’ commitment to offering the ‘Best-Price’ for any every-day car.

The campaign is a humorous take on the common tropes found across Rohit Shetty’s movies, where cars are often shown performing a wide array of stunts and often forming the centrepiece of the movies – while delivering upon the value proposition of OLX Autos, offering the ‘Best-Price’ for pre-owned cars and conveys the delightful experience consumers can expect when selling their cars to OLX Autos.

The fourth film in this series titled – ‘Normal Car’ is a sudden twist in the tale, wherein Sharman Joshi leaves the audience in splits – trying to figure out what’s special with Rohit Shetty’s stunt-car this time around. Rohit Shetty, then makes fun about the fact – his films also include every-day cars – with no special qualities. Not surprisingly, Sharman Joshi, who portrays the role of an OLX Autos employee, delights Rohit Shetty by offering the best price for even the every-day car.

From selling Rohit’s first ‘Flying Car’ to ‘Exploding Cars’ to ‘Revolving Cars’, the campaign ends with Rohit Shetty getting the best price even for the ‘Every-day Car’.

With a low per capita car ownership rate in India, pre-owned cars outpace new cars in terms of cars sold and are often the first set of wheels for many consumers. The supply for pre-owned cars stems from existing car owners. However, given the largely fragmented nature of the pre-owned car market consumers often face difficulties in realising the right price while selling their cars. The campaign seeks to highlight key offerings by OLX Autos, which aims at removing this information and access asymmetry with transparent evaluation processes such as no hidden charges, free inspection, seamless RC transfer and more.

OLX Autos launches its third ad film with Rohit Shetty

Mumbai: India’s leading player in the pre-owned automobile segment OLX Autos, along with Bollywood director Rohit Shetty and actor Sharman Joshi have released their third ad film titled “Ghoomti Hui Car” under the ‘Shetty ke Car-Naame’ campaign.

The third ad film in the series of four films, focuses around the value proposition of OLX Autos, offering the ‘best-price’ for pre-owned cars and conveys the delightful experience consumers can expect when selling their cars to OLX Autos. The campaign films are a humorous take on the common tropes found across Rohit Shetty’s movies, where cars are often shown performing a wide array of stunts and often forming the centrepiece of the movies.

The new ad film titled – “Ghoomti Hui Car” plays on the trope of Rohit Shetty using cars that spin around or drift for an extended period of time often to mark the entry of a superstar actor in key scenes across his movies as demonstrated by Ajay Devgn’s entry in “Singham”. Rohit proposes the sale of the stunt car to Sharman Joshi, who portrays the role of an OLX Autos employee, who then delights him by offering the best price for the same.

The campaign conceptualised by Lowe Lintas Delhi once again resonates and showcases OLX Autos’ commitment to offering the  best price on any car that a consumer may be keen to sell.

The final ad film in the campaign is scheduled to air in July 2022.

The campaign seeks to highlight key offerings by OLX Autos, which aim at removing this information and access asymmetry with transparent evaluation process with no hidden charges, free inspection, seamless RC transfer and more.

  • Olx Autos, Rohit Shetty team up to launch ‘Shetty Ke Car-Naame’ campaign

Olx Autos, Rohit Shetty team up to launch ‘Shetty Ke Car-Naame’ campaign

Mumbai: Olx Autos has partnered with Bollywood director Rohit Shetty and actor Sharman Joshi for its first celebrity-led ad campaign.

The latest campaign titled ‘Shetty Ke Car-Naame’ is conceptualised by Lowe Lintas Delhi seeks to drive awareness about Olx Autos’ ‘Best Price’ proposition for consumers keen to sell their pre-owned cars and consider Olx Autos as the leading destination for the same.

The digital-first multi-film campaign showcases Rohit Shetty as a consumer keen to sell the cars from his films to Sharman Joshi, who poses as an Olx Autos employee evaluating the cars for sale. The campaign films are a humorous take on the common tropes found across Rohit Shetty’s films, where cars are often shown in a glamorised fashion performing gravity-defying stunts and often forming the centerpiece of the films.

To leverage this campaign further, Olx Autos will also undertake a digital campaign across various social media platforms to reach more consumers.

Talking about the association, Rohit Shetty said, “I am delighted to collaborate with Sharman Joshi to partner with Olx Autos for this campaign which brings together my passion for films and cars. As a director, a mainstay of my films have been car stunts which audiences love and admire.”

“As an automobile enthusiast, I have always had a passion for automobiles, but often found it challenging when it came to selling off my cars while upgrading to a newer car. I hope audiences will enjoy this collaboration and resonate with the values of a fellow car enthusiast,” he added.

Sharman Joshi said, ”It’s good to be back collaborating again with Rohit on this campaign for Olx Autos. We share a common passion for automobiles and with Olx Autos it was a breeze translating the same onscreen for the short films.”

Commenting on the partnership, Olx Autos CMO Siddharth Agrawal said, “Rohit Shetty and cars are synonymous in the Indian pop culture and there is no one better than him to bring this campaign to life. Sharman Joshi’s everyman portrayal across his movies fit the mold of what we were looking for in highlighting a pertinent consumer challenge when it comes to selling pre-owned cars. We are excited to bring to life our campaign with these industry stalwarts as we aim to position ourselves as the preferred brand for consumers looking to sell their cars in their car ownership journey throughout their various life stages.”

Speaking about the creative thought behind the campaign, Lowe Lintas regional creative officer Vasudha Misra said, “It was an exciting campaign to work on from the start. When the team first pitched the idea to me- To bring Rohit Shetty, someone known for his action stunts with cars to promote Olx Autos – I was immediately sold. And like Olx Autos’ great price this has also turned out to be a great surprise.”

  • Star Sports partners with Olx Autos for IPL 2022 broadcast

Star Sports partners with Olx Autos for IPL 2022 broadcast

Mumbai: Pre-owned automobile platform Olx Autos has partnered with media giant Star Sports which is set to broadcast Tata IPL 2022 from 26 March. The partnership will entail Olx Autos leveraging Fall of Wickets and DRS (Decision Review System) feature across 74 matches.

Olx Autos’ media agency Wavemaker is spearheading efforts around media buying and planning for this campaign.

The brand campaign will run on a concept called ‘Out & In,’ where upon the fall of wickets or upon review from the DRS, Olx Autos will drive its core brand positioning. The used-car industry continues to be dominated by traditional offline dealers, and price-discovery and transparency are a major pain point faced by used-car sellers, hence via this association, Olx Autos aims to strengthen its ‘Best Price’ positioning as a ‘reliable and trustworthy’ platform to sell one’s car.

To strengthen this proposition, Olx Autos plans to leverage a multi-channel approach that includes digital, radio, OTT, and television, with deployment plans to deliver the maximum reach and impact among potential used-car sellers across the country.

“Cricket is still a religion in India, and IPL continues to be an apt platform on the TV from the perspective of viewership, reach and affinity among car owners,” said Olx Autos India CEO Amit Kumar. “Considering the increase in the number of teams to 10,  and matches going up to 74 the latest edition of IPL will become even more interesting and help us build reach and drive brand recall for Olx Autos. We believe that the integration with the ‘Out & In’ concept that plays with the colloquial cricketing lingo, will resonate with customers across India.”

  • OLX Autos says ‘Price nahin, surprise milega’ in its latest campaign

OLX Autos says ‘Price nahin, surprise milega’ in its latest campaign

MUMBAI: Global car marketplace for pre-owned automobiles, OLX Autos has launched its latest marketing campaign titled ‘Price Nahin, surprise milega’. Conceived by Lowe Lintas Delhi, the campaign films aim to raise awareness about the brand’s best price proposition and encourage sellers to consider OLX Autos when selling their pre-owned cars.

Leading with two TVCs produced by Chrome Pictures and directed by Hemant Bhandari, the campaign assures sellers that they can always expect the best prices for their cars on the platform by addressing multiple customer concerns.

While the festive season is driving up demand for pre-owned vehicles, getting the optimum price for their automobiles is an important consideration for sellers. However, sellers have to usually contend with barriers in realising the best price for their product such as hidden charges, lack of information about the car’s worth, etc. All of these factors add up to compound their dissatisfaction and prevents a seamless customer experience. Through the element of drama and exaggerated disbelief, both the TVCs capture the seller’s surprise while also reiterating the central message relatably.

By portraying this sentiment in a humorous manner, the ad film attempts to convey that the pricing offered on OLX Autos’ platform goes above and beyond the sellers’ expectations.

Lowe Lintas chief creative officer Prateek Bhardwaj said, “Who said simple and straight can’t be interesting too? We had a simple message, and we made a virtue of it. Kudos to Sidhant Mago and his team for making this shine the way it does. And also to our client who loved it from script to film.”

OLX India CMO Sapna Arora said, “Car buyers throughout the country encounter multiple obstacles when attempting to sell their automobiles via an online platform for the best possible price, and through our campaign, we hoped to emphasise how OLX Autos solves this problem while also assuring the best prices, ease of selling and convenience. The predominant emotion of surprise drives the tone of the campaign, and helps reinforce the message by repetition and by contrasting the component of disbelief with the impossibly attractive proposition.”

A multi-channel approach employing digital and broadcast media, in addition to radio and on-ground activations will build effective reach and promote the campaign across platforms among OLX Autos’ target audience of car sellers who would consider using the platform for the sale of their vehicle.

“Due to the pandemic and rise in aspiration among the young generation, we can see an inclination towards having personal mobility. Our campaign is aimed at making consumers aware and assuring sellers that they can always expect the best prices for their cars on OLX Autos platform with transparent and hassle-free processes,” OLX Autos India CEO Amit Kumar said.
