    SonyLIV launches PlayAlong in Hindi, Marathi, Telugu formats

    Mumbai: SonyLIV has launched its second screen initiative – ‘PlayAlong’ in Hindi, Marathi, and Telugu formats for the new seasons of “Kaun Banega Crorepati” (KBC), “Kon Honaar Crorepati” (KHC) and “Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu” (EMK) airing on Sony Entertainment Television, Sony Marathi and, Gemini TV respectively.

    PlayAlong gives viewers the opportunity to win prizes worth lakhs by answering questions fielded by Amitabh Bachchan, Sachin Khedekar, and NTR in their respective shows. Users need to download and register on SonyLIV to participate in PlayAlong, said the platform in a statement.

    “Capturing a diverse set of audience KBC, KHC and EMK have been the most preferred gaming reality shows,” said Sony Pictures Networks India, business operations – digital business, Amogh Dusad. “Not only do the viewers get a chance to be on the hot seat, but they also stand to win a multitude of cash gratifications every day including a chance to become lakhpati.”

    HYDERABAD: The iconic show that gave the commoner hopes to dream big is coming soon on Gemini TV, the Telugu entertainment channel of the Sun TV Network. Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu, the official Telugu version of Who wants to be a Millionaire telecasted in over 120 countries, makes its way into Telugu homes with a bang that not only promises electrifying entertainment but huge prize money to be won.  

     The host of Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu, NTR is a symbol of perseverance, hard work and passion to succeed. He is someone who has a perfect blend of mass and class and is acclaimed as the most versatile Tollywood actor by Telugu audiences.     Step 1

    The registration process for Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu is set to begin soon and viewers can get a chance to participate in the show by watching Gemini TV and answering the questions asked via SMS or can also register by downloading SUN NXT App, the OTT platform of the Sun TV Network.

    Step 2

    Participants who have answered the questions correctly though the registration process will be shortlisted by the randomiser based on certain pre-defined criteria and these participants will be reached out via phone for further assessment and selection.

    Step 3

    The final selections of participants will happen through a written test and personal interview at the audition centers in four cities viz Hyderabad, Vizag, Vijayawada and Tirupati.

    Marketing and promotional activities:

    The network is planning a massive opening for the show through 360-degree marketing initiatives both in AP/TS. This includes BTL, print, TVC, radio, digital and social media promotions.

    As a step forward to make the promotions eye catching and to create a buzz, Gemini TV has roped in the ace film maker Trivikram Srinivas to direct the promotional videos of Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu.

  • Star Maa to launch reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ with Junior NTR as host

    MUMBAI: In line with its commitment of “Sarikotha Uttejam”, Star Maa is all set to bring to its viewers an unprecedented and explosive viewing experience with one of the biggest reality shows, Bigg Boss. And hosting this show will be none other than the sensational and talented Junior NTR.

    This is Junior NTR’s first foray into television. Indeed, it is one of the biggest small screen forays in south India in recent times. With his natural spontaneity and talent, NTR will play an extremely crucial role in being the only link between the audience and around a dozen celebrities who will be placed inside a locked house.

    Bigg Boss is the Indian version of the international format Big Brother one of the most successful reality television series ever. The Endemol owned format Big Brother has had 10 blockbuster seasons in Hindi with Salman Khan as the host.

    About a dozen participants will be locked inside a house and provided with all necessary amenities but they will be completely cut off from technology and the outside world. Everything they do will be watched by a large number of cameras and ultimately the audience. The format promises a fascinating view on a group of strangers learning to live with each other.
