    Promo of ‘All About Section 377’ web series released

    NEW DELHI: Even as the Supreme Court has referred the curative plea on homosexuality to a five-judge bench, which will re-examine the two-year-old verdict by which a colonial law, criminalising consensual sexual acts between the same sex under section 377 of IPC, a web series called All About Section 377 by director Amit Khanna will be aired shortly.

    Khanna, who had directed Tutiya Dil and Badmashiyaan has already brought out a promo reflecting the joys and sorrows of people who have different sexual preferences and how they cope up with the society.

    All About section 377 is written and directed by Amit Khanna, who is also an ace photographer.

    The web series consists of eight episodes, which is produced by Weirdoze and the Creative Gypsy. It features Gulshan Nain who played the lead in Channel V’s Show Friends Conditions Apply, Ankit Bhatia, Mustafa Shaikh and Khanna himself.

    The promo leaves a strong message by planting a serious thought in the minds of every individual. The promo is aimed to hit hard to a lot of Homophobic people and their phobia just might come to an end.

    Khanna said, “The existence of Section 377 itself is frightening. How does someone else get to decide how, when and who, one should love? Basically the right of ‘freedom of choice’ isn’t legal anymore…”

    Apart from the concept of the series, what is interesting to see is that celebrities like Niranjan Iyengar, Iris Maity and Suzanna Mukherjee will be seen in cameos.

    MUMBAI: A special screening of the award winning Marathi film Tapaal was organised recently and attended by Bollywood veterans like Sridevi, Boney Kapoor, director Imtiaz Ali, R Balki, Gauri Shinde and Niranjan Iyengar along with the cast and crew of the film.

     

    Appreciating the movie, Sridevi commented on a micro-blogging saying, “Just watched Marathi film ‘Tapal’. After a long time, was teary-eyed & emotionally choked. A must watch film for all.”

     

     “Laxman who also was the DoP of English Vinglish has done a commendable job in his first film as director & has packed some memorable moments in Tapal,” she added.

Niranjan got them to open up and spill the beans on their love lives and a lot more! All three of them had quite interesting things to say. You can catch their interviews when the show makes its debut during the first week of August on Zee Café. Here’s a little glimpse of all the madness you can expect from Look Who’s Talking.

     

    Karan Johar being his usual self as was quite upbeat, witty and humorous throughout his interview with Niranjan. Karan revealed his worries and fears. Quite a refreshing change from him prodding other celebs into answering his questions, don’t you think? He said that nothing frightens him anymore, not even death. However, growing old or dying alone scares him the most. Karan also went on to say that he has tried everything, to find his special someone but he cannot put himself out there like a prostitute. Trust Mr. Johar to find humor even in such situations in his own life!
     

    Arjun Kapoor aka Fubu was his charming, naughty self on the show. Interestingly, a 140 kilo weighing Arjun’s inspiration to become fit was the idea of getting laid! More than the looks, Arjun is looking for someone who can keep him engaged in great conversations. Some prerequisites Arjun’s ideal woman must have – she has to be intellectual, have a great sense of humour, should play hard to get and most importantly, should be fond of kissing!     We all know Sidharth Malhotra as the hottie with the chiseled wash-board abs, but we hear that wasn’t the case while he was growing up. He opened up about his one true love in life – his love for food! Did you see that coming? Neither did we! Apparently, the Ek Villian star had a french-fry obsession as a child, that left him slightly on the chubby side. He recalls having them for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
