    Mumbai: News18 Network as India’s largest news network has always believed in raising and addressing issues that are affecting the people of the country and are often been overlooked. Staying true to its ethos, the network’s channels – News18 Bihar/Jharkhand and News18 Urdu announced two new campaigns on the birth anniversary of a great leader and a freedom fighter Mahatma Gandhi.

    ‘Saaf Safai Zaroori Hai Bhai,’ a month-long campaign by News18 Bihar/Jharkhand aims to achieve the vision of a clean Bihar, which is an integral part to fulfil Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of a clean and hygienic India, with its capital being the dirtiest city. The campaign will find areas suffering from lack of sanitation and cleanliness and will adopt various means to improve the quality of life of citizens by enhancing excess to basic sanitation facilities and evoke a sense of responsibility by asking people to join hands and actively participate in cleanliness activities to achieve the aim of making Bihar a ‘swachh’ state. 

    The campaign will have three elements:

    Mr Clean, a dedicated reporter who will travel across the length & breadth of the state to bring updates on hygiene status in every corner.

    Swachchta Helpline, a special number, which will enable viewers to share images of areas lacking proper sanitation and cleanliness.

    Appreciating ‘Swachata Ke Hero,’ who are doing stellar work in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.

    ‘Aurton Ka Haq: Koi Shak?’ by News18 Urdu is another three-four week-long campaign with the goal to combat discrimination against women and ensure equal rights, safety, and overall respect for all. The campaign will look at stories and case studies from across the country including belts where the minority community is dominant. Debates and other special shows will also be included to highlight key women-related issues and finding means to address them. Eminent personalities like Janab Imran Hussain Sahab, Delhi cabinet minister- food & supply, election and environment & forest, social activist Tahira Hasan, singer Pragnya Wakhlu are coming out in support of the campaign.

    Mumbai: In line with its aim of driving impact through journalism, the News18’s channels – News18 Madhya Pradesh / Chhattisgarh and News18 Rajasthan have announced two news campaigns – “Sabki Sehat, Sabse Zaroori” and “Paani ke Liye Parampara Bachao, respectively.

    “Paani Ke Liye Parampara Bachao” is a month-long campaign by News18 Rajasthan which calls attention to the problem of water scarcity and reminds people that the solution to this grave problem may be hidden in the past. As part of the campaign, the channel will urge people of the state to adopt several indigenous techniques for water conservation via this initiative.

    The campaign has already received support from all quarters including the state governor Kalraj Mishra, the union I&B Minister Anurag Thakur, the union MOS for Parliamentary Affairs, Arjun Meghwal, tate PHED minister Dr B.D Kalla and Jaipur Mayor Sheela Dhabai who came on-air in support of our cause, said the network in a media statement.

    “Sabski Sehat Sabse Zaroori” by News18 MadhyaPradesh / Chhattisgarh is another three to four weeks long campaign which aims to engage with key stakeholders to examine ways and means of strengthening the healthcare system of Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh. The campaign will endeavour to highlight both the progress made as well as some gaps that remain in making quality healthcare available to all sections of society. It will also pick up the issue of the widespread prevalence of quacks in the state. This campaign has also been well received with the health minister of Madhya PradeshVishwas Sarang & the health minister Prabhu Ram coming out in support of the campaign.

  • News18 HSM Network brings special programing on National Doctors’ Day

    New Delhi: The difficult times faced by all amidst the COVID-19 pandemic has brought to the fore the contributions and sacrifices made by doctors and healthcare staff around the globe on a daily basis.

    To honor these selfless heroes, News18 HSM Network has planned special shows on the occasion of National Doctors’ Day. These special shows will be dedicated to all medical professionals who have put the welfare of others above all else even at the risk of their own lives, said the network.

    The programming will feature eminent personalities from the medical field as well as political leaders in a discussion which will focus not only on the healthcare challenges that the country has been facing, but also the steps need to be taken to avoid and handle any health emergencies in the future.

    “The special Doctors’ Day celebration on News18 HSM channels is an attempt on our part to express our gratitude to these “angels in white” and highlight their importance in our lives,” said the network in a statement.

    The special programming on July 1 will begin on News18 Rajasthan at 2:00 pm, News18 Bihar/JHH at 6:30 pm, News18 UP/UK at 4:30 pm, News18 MP/CG at 3:30 pp and News18 PHH at 8:30 pm.
