This prestigious event in collaboration with The Rotary Club of Calcutta Inner City included a series of panel discussions with eminent personalities from the education sector, highlighting recent challenges and opportunities while fostering a meaningful exchange of ideas.

    The honourable dignitaries present for the event included the Education Minister of West Bengal, Bratya Basu; Rathin Ghosh, Minister of State for the Food and Supplies Department of the Government of West Bengal; and Hiralal Yadav, District Governor of Rotary District 3291.     Mumbai: News18 Bangla, News18 Odia, News18 Assam North East and News18 Gujarati language cluster channels have achieved exceptional performance on social media platforms during the election day. The four channels displayed brilliant coverage in the first phase of the election, highlighting the channel’s remarkable views and growing influence. News18 Bangla secured a top spot with nine million YouTube and eight million Facebook views.

    News18 Odia took the lead with eight million views on YouTube, establishing itself as the top performer on the social media platform. News18 Assam Northeast Delivered an outstanding performance garnering three million views on YouTube.

    News18 Gujarati attained the highest viewership on Facebook with 2.13 million views. The impressive performance of News18 language cluster channels credits its success to its updated programming strategy, prioritizing timely, authentic, and relevant news coverage.

    News18 Kannada: Secured the top spot in combined YouTube and Facebook views, at 161 million.  Leaving the competitors behind, the channel was closely followed by TV9 at 160 million views and NewsFirst Kannada with 144 million views.

    News18 Gujarati: Secured the highest viewership on Facebook and YouTube, with an impressive 197 million views. This milestone underscores News18 Gujarati’s dominance in the region, outshining VTV News with 71 million views and TV9 Gujarati with 64 million views.

    News18 Odia: Took the lead with 111 million views on YouTube, establishing itself as the top performer on the social media platform. This milestone places News18 Odia ahead of its competitors, including OTV with 109 million views, and Kanak News, which has garnered 64 million views.

    News18 Assam Northeast: Delivered an outstanding performance garnering 92 million views on YouTube and Facebook combined. The channel outperformed both DY365 with 60 million views and Pratidin Time with 38 million views.

    News18 Bangla: Attained the highest viewership on Facebook with 131.1 million views. The channel surpassed competitors, ABP Ananda with 129.1 million views and R Bangla with 54.3 million views.

    Mumbai: News18 Network has announced the appointment of Amitosh Pal as branch head – Indian Languages (East) & business head – News18 Bangla, Odiya, Assam.

    As part of his new role, Amitosh will lead an effort to establish News18 Bangla as the preferred choice for advertisers and agencies along with leading sales efforts for News18 Assam and News18 Odiya. He will also lead the monetisation initiative for News18 India for the east markets and scale revenue for News18 India from the region.

    Amitosh is an experienced media sales professional with a career spanning 25 years, predominantly with ABP Network for the last 19 years. He led sales for ABP Ananda as part of his last stint and also held positions at Zee Network, Siti Cable Network, and Tata Infomedia in the past. Amitosh has diverse interests outside work, including academics, negotiation studies, and travelling.
