    Soho Square Mumbai names Ishrath Nawaz as creative director

    MUMBAI: Soho Square Mumbai has appointed Ishrath Nawaz as creative director with effect from 3 September.

     

    Soho Square executive creative directors Anuraag Khandelwal and Satish Desa said, “Our young and dynamic team is a constantly evolving one. Our focus is to continuously adapt to new age ideas and ideals, with growth that is not just exponential but organic as well. Ishrath brings with him a unique mix of talents and a crisp understanding of different brand segments. We believe he has what it takes to strengthen our vision.”

     

    Nawaz added, “There’s nothing like it. I’ve always wanted to be a part of the Ogilvy group and it’s like a dream come true for me. Soho Square has been breaking tremendous ground over the last few years.     Having an experience of 14 years in advertising, Nawaz has worked across agencies like Saatchi & Saatchi, Rediffusion DYR, Network Advertising and Draft FCB+Ulka.

    Porus Jose is Curry Nation creative brand management head

    MUMBAI: Ad agency Curry Nation has appointed Porus Jose as creative brand management head. Jose, who assumed the new role on 3 January, will report to Curry Nation co-founder Priti Nair.

    Jose has over 16 years of experience and was freelancing as creative consultant since last two years.

    At Curry Nation, Jose’s duties will include taking care of the creative output like ideation and media planning at the agency.

    Curry Nation co-founder Nagessh Pannaswami said, “Curry Nation is about to complete a year and we are definitely looking at growing geographically as well. We were on a lookout for people who can carry on the mantle of creativity. Having worked with Porus in the past, we felt that he fit the bill.”

    Jose added, “The plan is to help take Curry Nation to the next level. I believe in doing meaningful clutter breaking work and in this, Curry Nation and I are aligned towards the same goals. My earlier association with Priti and Nagessh tells me that together we will be able to come up with some good creative work.”

    Jose has worked with By Design, Saatchi & Saatchi, Rediffusion-Y&R and Network Advertising.

    Sterling Holidays’ creative & media biz goes to Network Advertising

    MUMBAI: Leisure hospitality company Sterling Holidays has awarded its media and creative duties to Network Advertising.

    The company‘s online duties, however, would continue to be handled by Chennai-based Rage Communications.
     
    Says Sterling Holiday Resorts India vice president Lata Subramanian, “We didn‘t call for a pitch, we just interviewed 2-3 agencies and chose Network Advertising. The choice was made purely on the basis of credentials. I have known Network Advertising for long, it‘s mid-size, but a very strong agency.” 
     
    Sterling Holidays hasn‘t been advertising for a long time. “But now it is coming back with Network Advertising. The OOH campaign will be rolling out this Sunday while the print will be starting from Wednesday,” Subramanian comments.
