Freshwrapp and Vikas Khanna say no to bacteria with a foil-wrapped punch

MUMBAI: Hindalco’s Freshwrapp has teamed up with Michelin-starred chef and author Vikas Khanna to roll out a punchy new campaign — Bacteria ki Entry ko Rokey. The message? Ditch that damp cloth and crumpled newspaper. If you love your food, protect it like you mean it.

At the heart of the campaign is Freshwrapp’s new ‘Freshlock Shield’ — a science-backed feature that promises to block bacterial intrusion while keeping food fresh, fragrant, and full of flavour. Tested by NABL-approved labs, the foil prevents bacteria like E. coli, Salmonella and Staphylococcus aureus from breaking through for up to 48 hours. Not bad for something you can tear off a roll.

The campaign film, created by Network Advertising, lands the hygiene message with humour — personifying bacteria as a pesky dinner date couple, only to be blocked by the foil’s protective barrier. Think rom-com meets science class.

Speaking on the collaboration, Khanna said, “Food is one of the purest expressions of love in every Indian home—but how we store that food is often taken for granted. I’ve used aluminium foil often as it’s hygienic, dependable and easy to use. Freshwrapp, in particular, has always stood out for me and with this campaign, we’re encouraging families to adopt smarter, safer kitchen habits”.

Freshwrapp, already a category leader and certified ISI-safe, is now repositioning itself from a convenience product to a daily essential. Consumer trials revealed that once introduced to Freshwrapp, non-users were quick converts, praising its hygiene, freshness retention, and ease of use.

This scientifically validated shield is a powerful reassurance for caregivers, especially mothers, who ranked it highly for freshness and hygiene in consumer trials. As one participant put it, “When I pack my child’s lunch in Freshwrapp, I know I’m sending both food and protection.”

Commenting on the campaign, Hindalco Industries Ltd senior president & CEO – downstream aluminium business, Nilesh Koul said “At Hindalco, our vision of ‘Engineering Better Futures’ is not just about materials—it’s about enabling safer, healthier everyday choices for families. Through Freshwrapp, we’re helping engineer a better future, one kitchen at a time. With this campaign, we’re not just showcasing the freshness and hygiene benefits of aluminium foil; we’re encouraging families to rethink old habits. It’s about making informed, healthier choices in the kitchen”

With over 1.2 million households using it every month, and three ‘Superbrand’ titles under its belt, Freshwrapp is rolling into the hearts — and lunchboxes — of Indian families, one tightly wrapped paratha at a time.

Vinod Cookware’s new ad tackles kitchen challenges with humor

Mumbai: Vinod Cookware has launched a new television commercial showcasing the SAS (steel-aluminium-steel) metal technology in their premium range. The campaign will air on popular channels such as Star Plus, Colors, Zee TV, and Sony Max. Created by Network Advertising and produced by 10 Films, the TVC humorously portrays a robbery gone wrong while highlighting the features of the SAS metal range, including consistent heat distribution and reduced food burning. Running from 31 August to 17 September, the campaign aims to boost brand recall and strengthen its connection with consumers nationwide.

Set in a hill station, Vinod Cookware’s new ad film uses humor to portray a comical kitchen encounter where chefs outwit a thief, all while showcasing the brand’s SAS metal technology. The lighthearted narrative highlights the cookware’s even heat distribution in a playful yet engaging manner. The 45-second TVC is set to air on popular Indian TV channels and CTVs, amplifying the brand’s presence by targeting high-TRP programs along with repeat telecasts such as Anupamaa, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Jhanak on Star Plus; Laughter Chef, Mishri, Mangal Lakshmi on Colors; Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Pushpa Impossible on Sony SAB; and Bhagya Lakshmi, Radha Mohan, Rab Se Hai Dua on Zee TV. The campaign also aims to connect with regional audiences by featuring a lineup of popular Marathi shows on Star Pravah and Zee Marathi, ensuring broad engagement across diverse viewer segments. Additionally, the TVC will be aired on Hindi and Marathi movie channels, including Star Gold, Sony MAX, Zee Cinema, and Pravah Pictures. To further strengthen brand sustenance, Vinod Cookware will leverage digital and OTT platforms like Zee5 and Disney+ Hotstar to showcase the ad film.

Network Advertising CCO Shayondeep Pal shared, “The idea was to move away from the typical ‘happy-family-mother-in-the-kitchen’ films and explore new ways to communicate the SAS metal technology. By showcasing the ‘Steel-Aluminium-Steel’ layering that evenly spreads heat, we aimed to demonstrate how this product reduces the risk of food burning. The unique narrative of a protagonist caught in a kitchen heist brings a humorous touch to the product demonstration. We were fortunate to have a talented cast that nailed the timing—crucial for humor to succeed.”

10 Films founder & executive producer Shouvik Basu added, “The concept of merging a robbery scene with cookware in a hill station setting was a fresh and exciting challenge. It required careful casting and seamless storytelling to shift the audience’s focus from the heist to the utility of Vinod Cookware. The shoot was a perfect balance of humor and product integration, and we are proud to have worked alongside Network Advertising in delivering this memorable film.”

Vinod Cookware director Sunil Agarwal said, “At Vinod Cookware, we have always upheld the highest standards of quality and functionality, and our SAS Metal range is a testament to that commitment. Through this new campaign, we aim to communicate the core values that define our brand—quality, reliability, safety, and sustainability. By integrating wholesome humor into our messaging, we’re reinforcing to consumers that Vinod Cookware remains a trusted partner in Indian kitchens, dedicated to enhancing their cooking experience with products they can rely on.”

Blue Dart ropes in Network Advertising as its creative & media partner

MUMBAI: Blue Dart has roped in Network Advertising as its creative and media partner to showcase the firm’s capability and edge across express logistics.

The agency has launched a series of adverts highlighting how the logistics provider has ensured non-stop service even in the midst of the Covid2019 pandemic.

Blue Dart said it has been working tirelessly to guarantee the continuity of the critical supply chain, making a huge difference in the market, and it was time to reach out to the end consumers and share with them the brand’s value proposition.

Blue Dart CMO & head – business development Ketan Kulkarni said: “We have transported tons of essential shipments since the nation-wide lockdown by working round the clock to assure an uninterrupted supply across domestic and international markets. Our latest ad campaign plays on these strengths and highlights our commitment & resilience.”

Network Advertising chief creative officer Shayondeep Pal said that through impactful campaigns and their expertise, the agency wants to make Blue Dart into a verb, to drive the point that the brand is synonymous with express courier service.

He went on to explain the concept behind the TVCs: “Often, our world comes to a standstill when critical shipments don’t reach us on time. It could be life-saving drugs or a much-awaited visa or a television. The idea, therefore, was to use freeze-frame as a visual metaphor to highlight the stoppage of action at the receiver’s end. As soon as the shipment arrives, the world unfreezes and goes back to normal, thus underlining the idea – ‘We move so your world can move.”

The films were shot under strict Covid protocol in Mumbai. The campaign will take a multimedia approach and will be promoted across various platforms including traditional and digital mediums. The TVCs have been rolled out across multiple business and news channels and are being digitally activated on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube & Hotstar as well as new age media such as Inshorts to ensure extensive reach.

Vijay Sales’ TVC attacks pain points of online shopping

MUMBAI: Offline retail store, Vijay Sales has launched new commercials pouncing on the inherent weaknesses of the internet. Retailers have started favouring an omni channel approach to sell goods especially in the case of consumer electronics and fashion, which are now being copied by e-tailers, who sell retail goods on the internet.

IBEF, in one of its report clearly stated, “Total monthly online shoppers stagnant at 15-17 million (1.5-1.7 crore) since the past six months”. This age group of 20-40 year olds were using online mediums to mainly shop for fashion and appliances.

Network Advertising has created three TVCs to bring alive the consumer frustration with e-commerce purchases when it comes to consumer durables. The campaign highlights the advantages of real world people who can provide real answers to them. The narrative of the commercials is a never-before attempt to seize the conversation away from the e-commerce companies.

Vijay Sales managing partner Nilesh Gupta said, “While the attention of media was on the e-commerce festivals of deep discounts, we have seen our service being reinforced by customer belief in terms of them returning in large and growing numbers to Vijay Sales, despite all the noise around e-commerce offerings. So, we wanted to bring to the fore the consumer pain points with the internet world which they tell us every time they come to our stores.”

Network Advertising managing director Vinod Nair said, “It’s amazing that once you see the ads, every average consumer will realise what he has been missing. And it is our close connect with the category and the client that helped us arrive at this insight. I promise that each one who watches the ads will have personal anecdotes to add to the three stories we have projected in our campaign.”
