    Evelyn Sharma to match dance steps with Arshad Warsi

    MUMBAI: Evelyn Sharma seems to have all the luck by her side. From starting out as a fashionista and graduating to Bollywood success with super hits like Nautanki Saala! and then Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (YJHD), she’s now turning a new leaf in her career.

     

    Evelyn has been signed by director Neeraj Pathak for Bhaiyyaji Superhit starring Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta and Arshad Warsi.

     

    Pitted as the leading lady opposite Arshad, she plays a cute, sexy but traditional Indian girl. But what the actress is most excited about is matching dance steps with him. Apart from being a powerhouse performer, Arshad is well-known for being a great dancer. And Evelyn feels this gives her a chance to hone her dancing skills too. Nowadays, the girl is often spotted at a dance rehearsal hall in Andheri, Mumbai. We wonder if that has something to do with the challenge of dancing with Arshad.

     

    Meanwhile, having bagged a role with various shades, comedy, songs, dance and all, Evelyn is glad to work with director Neeraj Pathak. “He spotted me in YJHD and invited me to his office for a meeting. He compliments me for my talent and thinks I am a quick learner. I feel honoured with the praise,” said the actress.

    Preity Zinta back with Bhaiyyaji Superhit

    After doing a cameo with Saif Ali Khan in the US for a film titled Happy Ending, Preity Zinta is back in Mumbai.

     

    She has resumed shooting in India with Neeraj Pathak’s Bhaiyyaji Superhit where in her own words she has a “damned interesting role” opposite Sunny Deol. For the first time, Preity gets to play a bonafide rustic character. And she’s working hard to clean herself of the subtle American twang she has acquired during her frequent visits to the US where her brother lives.

     

    Last seen in her home-production Ishkq In Paris, the film’s failure left Preity disappointed but undeterred.

     

    Preity begins shooting for Bhaiyyaji Superhit in Udaipur this week. She plays a character from rural Uttar Pradesh. Sunny Deol plays her husband.

    Subash Ghai steps in as producer for Bhaiyyaji Superhit

    MUMBAI: After the Neeraj Pathak-directed Sunny Deol-starrer Bhaiyyaji Superhit ran into hurdles that led to the cancellation of the shoot, Subash Ghai has stepped in to produce the film.

    Ghai‘s Mukta Arts will now be co-producing the film in association with Nikon Films. Earlier, the film was being produced by Fauzia Arshi under the banner of Daily Multimedia Ltd.

    Confirming his association in the venture as producer, Ghai said, “We will produce Bhaiyyaji Superhit in association with Nikon Films (that had earlier produced Black and White). The terms and conditions are currently being finalised.”

    It is learnt that Ghai has been having good relations with Pathak after the latter directed Mukta Arts‘ 2010 film Right Yaaa Wrong.

    The film, that has Sunny Deol in a double role for the first time, also stars Mithun Chakraborty, Ameesha Patel and Arshad Warsi.

    The film is expected to release later this year.
