    Katrina Kaif to dazzle in Nakshatra’s new campaign

    MUMBAI: Nakshatra, the jewellery brand, has launched a new print campaign featuring its brand ambassador, Katrina Kaif with the tagline Divine Luck.

    The actor has been associated with Nakshatra for almost five years now. Expressing confidence that the new campaign will enhance the visibility and appeal of the brand, Nakshatra COO Amrish Masalia said, “Nakshatra is one of the most respected jewellery brands in the country and abroad. It has taken deep roots in India where it offers a wide range of designs. Our brand ambassador Katrina Kaif with her timeless beauty, elegance and charm has brought effervescence to Nakshatra and the new campaign with its mesmerising appeal is sure to strike a chord with people everywhere.”

    The campaign was executed by Red Lion Publicis. Commenting on the it, the agency‘s creative director Rajesh Kulkarni said, “Nakshatra as a brand has always been about an association between the celestial bodies and the celebrity it is being endorsed by. The latest campaign introduced the Divine Luck tagline keeping the brand in empyrean space. For this campaign we used the concept of tarot cards to make the brand more mystical yet more relatable by visually capturing the beauty of woman wearing diamonds through female oriented tarot cards. The concept further builds the brand values of fantasy, transformation and enchantment. Katrina with her ethereal beauty was a sublime fit for the brand and the concept and was an absolute pleasure to work with.”

    Adding on the current theme Kulkarni said, “The new theme is quite different from the old one and yet rooted in the basic concept of ‘constellation of stars‘. It connects with the audience through a different aspect of the heavenly kingdoms.”

    The visuals of Katrina were shot by fashion photographer, Suresh Natrajan while the styling was done by celebrity designer, Ami Patel.

    Post the print campaign, Nakshatra looks forward to shooting an ad commercial communicating the brand message. The print campaign flags off on 7 August. The campaign which goes on till 14 August will target the northern and western markets.

    Nakshatra unveils logo and brand identity

    MUMBAI: Diamond jewellery brand Nakshatra unveiled the brand’s new logo and its latest brand campaign – Glow Divine.

    The new campaign and identity aims connect the brand with the inner beauty that every woman radiates. ‘Divine Force’ is one of the key attributes of the new campaign – a fresh take on the ‘Divine Luck’ philosophy associated with the brand.

    The new look, feel and thought of the campaign is inspired by the perfection and inner fire that each precious piece of Nakshatra jewellery exudes and aims to relate it to ethereal Goddess like divinity.

    The new brand tagline, ‘Glow Divine‘, has been used in order to correlate the inner radiance that a diamond emits with the inner beauty that every woman radiates. In keeping with this, the new brand logo is inspired by a floral Indian motif that morphs into a constellation in a graphically depicted diamond cluster.

    Vh1 brings music festival ‘Vh1 Rock Rules’ from 18 May

    MUMBAI: MTV Networks’ international music and lifestyle channel – Vh1, will be rolling out an international music fiesta with Vh1 Rock Rules, featuring three international bands and 12 local bands.

    The music fiesta will begin 18 May and culminate on 3 June in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore.
    Apart from the who’s who of Indian rock, the 15-band line-up stars three international bands – Haven (UK), Empire Dogs (Sweden) and a finale from the Aussie band Taxiride.

    While, on the national front, the rock acts includes – Pentagram, Parikrama, Helga’s Fun Castle, Them Clones, Oritus, Nakshatra, Synaps, Parousia, Lounge Piranha, Vayu, Level 9 and Messiah.

    On 18 May, Haven and Helga’s Fun Castle will perform, followed by Empire Dogs and Vayu on 25 May and finally Taxiride and Pentagram will perform on 1 June in Mumbai at Velocity.
    In Delhi, Haven, Nakshatra and Them Clones will perform on 20 May, followed by Empire Dogs, Parikrama and Oritus on 27 May and finally on 3 June Taxiride, Level 9 and Messiah will perform at Elevate.

    On 2 June, Taxiride, Synaps, Parousia and Lounge Piranha will perform in Bangalore at Palace Grounds.

    Last year, Vh1 held Vh1 Hip Hop Hustle, wherein the channel brought in hip hop band Flipsyde as well as two international DJs Noname and Mentat. While the event was restricted to Delhi and Mumbai, Vh1 has now added Bangalore to the tour rock map.

    Vh1 India VP and general manager Keertan Adyanthaya said, “Vh1 Rock Rules is slated to delight rock fanatics in India. We are not only bringing fresh new international talent to India but also providing a platform for Indian rock bands to reach their fans. It’s a clear indication that India is now on the world tour map and Vh1 is playing a major role in fostering this phenomenon.”
