    Zoom adds ‘Bollywood Laffs’ to humour quotient

    MUMBAI: Lifestyle channel Zoom kicks off a new comedy show Haff Hour Laff Hour on 26 January 2007 at 8:30 pm.

    Stand-up comedian Sajid Khan will host the show along with impersonator Suresh Menon. This show is a complete stand-up comical rhapsody with the funny twosome taking viewers on a laughter trip disguised as Bollywood, cricket, music personalities and celebrities from the entertainment world.

    Right from spoofing celebrity interviews, to reviewing Bollywood movies in their witty style, the hosts will give viewers their expert fake-take on the latest news trends, fashion, politicians and celebrities who are in the news for all kinds of reasons.

    Sajid says, “This association with Zoom is turning out to be a fabulous experience. We hope to offer a fresh twist to comedy via the show”.

    MUMBAI: European IT provider Fujitsu Siemens Computers has launched its new range of entertainment PCs. the aim is to immserse th consumer into digital entertainment.

    The firm says that the high definition images and crisp surround sound makes users feel like they have dived into the PC game, or in the audience at a live concert. The flatscreen monitors are designed to fit seamlessly into the living room says the firm.

    The Scaleo EV PC has integrated Intel Viiv technology and is now more silent thanks to an improved housing and cooling concept.

    The Scaleo EV allows instant control of all TV, DVDs, music, films, photos and radio with one remote control. With the Intel High Definition Audio and 7.1 surround sound, one can listen to the cinema-like audio quality via the stereo.

    The digital video recorder (PVR) also lets viewers pause, record, and replay from the TV. This is the hub of the digital home – music stored on the PC can be played on the stereo, photos can be accessed on the television and stormed fils can be watched on other clients as laptops. It can store up to 320 GB of data, as well as thousands of photos.

    MUMBAI: Zoom, India’s lifestyle channel is launching Popkorn Newz, an hourly show which will be aired every Monday to Friday at 7:30 pm with a repeat telecast at 10:30 pm.

    The weekend edition will air on Saturdays at 8 pm and Sundays at 12:30 pm. The show will be hosted by Barkha Bisht.

    The show will cover all the latest happenings, breaking news, scandals from Bollywood, Television, Music, Events, asserts an official release.

    From Bollywood to the Indian Tellywood; from the faces in modeling to the interesting happenings from the world of art and theatre, Popkorn Newz, claims to be an Indian version of E News.
