    Cinevistaas acquires studio floors in Mumbai suburb

    MUMBAI: Cinevista Productions, now christened Cinevistaas Ltd is on an expansion drive to make available technical and creative services under one roof. It has vertically integrated itself into domains such as studio-floors, sets, equipment hire and post- production facilities.

    The idea is to cover the broad spectrum of filmmaking, transforming Cinevistaas Ltd. into a one stop shop for the requirement of producers and directors. Cinevistaas studio floors at KanjurMarg have a range of facilities available including production offices, dressing rooms and catering. The production house, that claims to be the largest in the country, also has ready-made sets, which can be used directly for shoots. 

    The indoor studio spread over an area of more than 25,000 square feet, includes office and living rooms, hospital layouts, cafeteria and canteen. The outdoor studio is spread over three acres of land, ideal for the shooting of ad Films, serials and feature films, claims the production house. On the equipment hire front, Cinevistaas currently boasts film format as well as video format Cameras, Steady Cam, DV Cam (PD 150), Cranes, Panther Evolution Dolly, Lights (All range from 6KV HMI to Babies to Keno’s). 

    The company’s post production unit includes top of the line computer graphics division along with a professional editing set-up with non-linear (Offline and Online) services so as to enable quality entertainment production.

    Postproduction facility includes 2-Edit-5, 3- Media 100, A/B Roll. The Audio facility boasts of “Protools” with Sound Craft 24 track mixing console. 

    Among the films and serials shot at the Kanjur Marg property are Cinevistaas’ own Sanjivani for Star Plus, NDTV’s Kapil Dil Se for Set Max and Kalpeshwar Pictures Kaise Kahoon Ke Pyaar Hai. .

    Entries sought for 27th Rapa Awards

    The 27th Rapa (Radio and TV Advertising Practitioners Association of India Ltd) Awards presentation is to be held in the month of May, an official release states.

    The Rapa awards for excellence are given for 48 categories and cover 17 languages. On the language side there has been one addition this year with Urdu included.

    This year entries in new categories like Music Videos-Film promos, TV News (Soft Stories) and best anchor/jockeys and mythological TV programmes have been added.

    As in previous years, entries are invited from directors, script writers, artists, technicians, ad film producers, radio/TV programmes, music directors and advertising agencies.

    Last year 60 awards were handed out in various categories. This year the awards ceremony is scheduled to be held at The Club in the western Mumbai suburb of Andheri.
