Mullen Lintas creates a new narrative for Manipal Hospitals with their latest brand campaign

Mumbai– Mullen Lintas, one of MullenLowe Lintas Group’s acclaimed creative agencies, has unveiled an exciting new advertising campaign in collaboration with Manipal Hospitals, one of the leading healthcare providers in the country, aimed at inspiring individuals to prioritise their own well-being. The campaign encourages audiences to adopt a proactive approach to their health, ultimately preventing the need for reactive critical care situations.

In an era where healthcare communication has become all about expertise, equipment, facilities etc., Manipal Hospitals and Mullen Lintas have collaborated to convey a powerful emotional message through the thought-provoking campaign. The central theme revolves around the idea ‘Take Care Of Yourself’ which communicates the core message that the best way to prevent reactive critical care is by taking care of our own health every single day. Manipal Hospitals strongly encourages taking preventive care of your health on a daily basis so that you are less dependent on curative, critical medical help.

Commenting on the relatability of the campaign, Manipal Health Enterprises COO, Pvt. Ltd Karthik Rajagopal said “In today’s fast-paced world, we often neglect our well-being in the pursuit of success, losing our quality of health. Following this insight, we decided to launch a brand campaign ‘The best gift that we can give to our near and dear ones is the gift of our own good health.’

For this, I would like to applaud the efforts of Mullen Lintas and director, Gauri Shinde, in bringing this idea to life. We’re grateful for this partnership and hope everyone will appreciate this message.”

Through a masterful blend of emotional storytelling and poignant narratives, Mullen Lintas Bangalore captures the essence of personal health journeys through various stages of life. Each story resonates with viewers on a deeply relatable level, underlining the importance of adopting balanced lifestyles, the need to exercise regularly, and early intervention. The multi-film campaign subtly highlights the potential consequences of neglecting one’s health, while also celebrating the positive outcomes that arise from being proactive.

Mullen Lintas CEO  Hari Krishnan said, “Healthcare communication has for a long time been about brands talking about themselves to consumers, almost in a one-way approach, about their expertise, facilities, infrastructure etc. We felt that the time is right to elevate the conversation. As one of the pioneers in modern healthcare in India, the onus of exemplifying thought leadership rests with Manipal Hospitals. With this as our guiding light, we conceived a campaign that, at its heart, is all about encouraging people to take care of their health so they never need to be taken care of in a hospital. It’s very bold in that sense, for a brand to consciously decide to not talk about themselves and the team at Manipal Hospitals deserves all the credit for taking this leap.”

  • Joseph George set to launch Vector Brand Solutions

Joseph George set to launch Vector Brand Solutions

Mumbai: Forty months after founding and launching Tilt Brand Solutions, MullenLowe Lintas Group’s former group chairman and CEO Joseph George has announced the group’s launch of its next brand & communications enterprise – Vector Brand Solutions. Like Tilt, Vector too will be Mumbai based.

Tilt Brand Solutions has worked with over 35 blue chip and start up brands putting out some notable work on Dream 11, Livspace, Licious, Swiggy, JD Mart, Groww, Go Daddy, TVS and The Pink Foundry among others.

Speaking on the launch of Vector, Joseph George said, “Thus far, we seem to have got quite a few things right at Tilt; in terms of how we work, how we engage and what we put out. While there is ofcourse a lot for us to get better at, what has worked most for us and our clients is a structure that allows our senior folks to give disproportionate attention to brands, clients and their business. So, the question I asked myself was how do we navigate and manage growth while not diluting, diminishing and diffusing our people’s involvement with their brands and clients. The answer – Vector Brand Solutions.”

On the name, he added, “Vector in Physics is a quantity or phenomenon that has both magnitude and direction. And that’s what we want to ensure in everything we do – agility and pace but with purpose and direction.”

On what Vector would specifically focus on developing along the way, George said, “Vector is a post pandemic launch; and the rampant digital embrace seen in the past 20 months have resulted in Digital First brands getting launched every day. For them to survive and thrive, they will need high quality top, middle and bottom of the funnel interventions; and so, will need help with smart data insighting, innovative demand generation as well as top draw skills in building brand love, preference and distinctiveness. Vector will strive to be acknowledged as best in class partners for these marketers.”

Vector is in the midst of putting in place its operating leadership. An announcement on this is expected to be made in the next few weeks.

  • MullenLowe Lintas elevates Naveen Gaur as Group COO, growth & innovation

MullenLowe Lintas elevates Naveen Gaur as Group COO, growth & innovation

Mumbai: In view of the ever-changing marketing landscape, MullenLowe Lintas Group plans to further consolidate its offering beyond strategy and creative. To this end, Naveen Gaur has been elevated as Group COO – growth and innovation, MullenLowe Lintas Group.

Gaur’s mandate will be to strengthen the areas of marketing services that agencies within the Group offer – such as PR, digital, content creation and production, experiential, design, analytics, and MarTech. In addition to this, Gaur will also lead the marketing, reputation, and strategic growth initiatives for the Group.

In his previous role as the deputy CEO of Lowe Lintas, he was overseeing the existing key business relationships and founding new ones. Gaur’s association with Lintas goes back to 2010 when he was branch head of Lowe Lintas Delhi where he encouraged an entrepreneurial culture of growth and business excellence. Under his leadership, the agency added large mandates that are a healthy mix of start-ups and established brands. He is also credited with deepening the agency’s relationship with Google, Pernod Ricard, Nestle, and Cargill foods.

MullenLowe Lintas Group – Group CCO and chairman, Amer Jaleel, who has worked closely with Gaur on marquee brands of the Group like Havells, Google and OLX amongst others, said: “I’ve worked with Naveen as a partner for over 10 eventful years. He stands firmly proud of owning the intersection on brand and business. And would be fearless in pointing out the lack of either in a piece of work he would be judging. And that shows his innate understanding of both. Naveen remains oddly unserious despite having seen through hundreds of crises. He switches seamlessly and this quality is what Lintas wants to capitalise on to ride into its most transformative phase ever. Naveen will help broaden the scope of what it means to be a brand in the new age.”

After leading Lowe Lintas into its next phase of growth as its deputy CEO, he will now be tasked with replicating the success for marketing services of the Group – Lintas Live, dCell, LinEngage, Lintas C:EX, and LinConsult. Naveen will aggressively grow these already strong suite of specialist services as well as develop new ones through an effective combination of build, acquire and collaborate.

Commenting on the elevation, MullenLowe Lintas Group- Group CEO, Virat Tandon said, “We are living in very exciting times as we see shifts in the entire marketing landscape. This presents us with a great opportunity to extend our services across the spectrum of creative solutions eco-system. Naveen is a stalwart in the advertising business and is an entrepreneur at heart. There can be no one better to lead the agencies in developing and growing this ecosystem. We will be looking at serving our existing clients better by using our ‘Hyperbundled’ creative solutions process to bring all the specialist services around the client goals. At the same time, this eco-system will also develop their own independent clients and growth agenda. I am very excited to see Naveen take up this role.”

Talking about the elevation, Naveen Gaur said, “Growth and value creation drive me. I am honored that the Group has entrusted me with this role and responsibility to make some bold moves and create future leading offerings and take the Group to the next level. I am looking forward to doing new things that will make me sleepless again.”

Gaur assumes the new role from 1 September and he will be handing over his current responsibilities over the next few months to the new leadership at Lowe Lintas which will be announced soon. This transition will be completed by the end of 2021, the organisation said.

  • Vikas Mehta appointed Mullen Lintas CEO

Vikas Mehta appointed Mullen Lintas CEO

MUMBAI: Creative agency of the MullenLowe Lintas Group, Mullen Lintas, has appointed Vikas Mehta as its new CEO. He will operate out of the company’s Mumbai office.

Mehta takes this role from Virat Tandon, who was recently elevated to the position of group CEO, MullenLowe Lintas Group.

Mehta comes with an experience of nearly two decades and has spent over 12 years with the global MullenLowe Group, working in multiple countries across the Asia-Pacific region. He started working for the company in India in 2013 and played several roles including group chief marketing officer, head of the digital and president—group marketing services. His last assignment was to set up the omnichannel creative agency, PointNine Lintas, which he ran as CEO until its merger with Lowe Lintas, announced last week.

  • PointNine Lintas announces new leadership team

MUMBAI: PointNine Lintas, the newest independent agency from the MullenLowe Lintas Group, announced the first set of names in its leadership team. It’s a lineup of senior domain-experts that will work with the CEO, Vikas Mehta. All teams of PointNine Lintas will be co-located in offices in Mumbai, New Delhi (NCR) and Bangalore respectively.

Ameer Ismail has been named Chief Growth Officer, Sumanta Ganguly takes on the role of National Director – Digital Marketing and Transformation and Sriharsh Grandhe would be National Director – Consumer Engagement. Along with Vikas; Ameer, Sumanta and Sriharsh will work with clients to build bespoke agency solutions geared to maximize return-on-marketing-investments.

Speaking of the lineup, Vikas Mehta said: “The biggest challenge in getting an omni-channel model right is the ability to bring multi-disciplinary expertise together upfront. This leadership team is made up of seasoned practitioners. It allows us to bring multiple disciplines to the table right at the start and offer clients, a customised agency team that’s built around their brand opportunities. This is in sharp contrast to the administrative structure most agencies follow for their verticals. We are lucky to have experts like Ameer, Sumanta and Sriharsh within the organisation, to be my co-founders at PointNine Lintas.”

As Chief Growth Officer, Ameer’s mandate would be to work with clients towards creating growth strategies and build full-service agency teams. Commenting on his vision and role for PointNine Lintas, Ameer Ismail commented: “I believe a truly omni-channel agency is imperative for today’s market. We will be amongst very few agencies that kick start with such a deep and diverse capability line-up. To exploit the full potential of our offering, my role as Chief Growth Officer will be to create a dynamic strategy that will ensure PointNine Lintas works with some of the best brands and develops into one of the most significant agencies in the country.”

The consumer engagement practice for PointNine Lintas; including activation, experiential and shopper marketing; would be led by Sriharsh Grandhe. His mandate will be to author go-to-market programs built around physical and digital consumer-journeys. Sriharsh would also be involved in developing the agency’s product –stack of mar-tech offerings.

Commenting on the role and responsibility at PointNine Lintas, Sriharsh Grandhe said: “Over the last two years at LinEngage, a considerable effort has been made on creating effectiveness for our clients and we have successfully demonstrated reach-to-conversion ratios as healthy as 35 per cent. We have worked closely with a few of our longstanding clients to experiment and continually improve on engagement KPI’s. At PointNine Lintas, the goal would be to take these models to even more touch-points to create greater business impact.”

The digital practice for PointNine Lintas would be led by Sumanta Ganguly. His mandate would be to place platforms, technology, devices and ecosystems at the heart of marketing programs in the early stages of brand development. Speaking of his role, Sumanta Ganguly says, “Digital is no longer the purview of communication alone, today it’s leading the discussion of business transformations. We are at the crossroads of design, data and platforms, and will continue to focus on digital transformation stories for a larger set of clients at PointNine Lintas.”

Ameer, Sriharsh and Sumanta will retain their divisional responsibilities for GolinOpinion, LinEngage and LinTeractive respectively. Explaining the rationale behind this choice, Vikas adds, “One of the big reasons why full-service is preached more often than practiced, is because every skill-set comes with its own administrative layers. For example, when you need a PR expert, you also inherit the administrative layer of a PR agency. In a day-to-day working scenario, this becomes a major barrier to collaboration. We’ve made a conscious choice to cast our best minds as both, ‘practitioners’ and ‘managers’ making it easier to collaborate seamlessly.”

The agency is planning more additions to the leadership team, which would be announced in the coming days.

  • PointNine Lintas launched, Vikas Mehta named CEO

MUMBAI: MullenLowe Lintas Group has announced the launch of its new independent full-service agency in India, PointNine Lintas. It would offer omni-channel marketing capabilities including creative (on and offline), PR, activation, experiential, social, media and digital transformation; all under one roof.

PointNine Lintas will commence operations on 1 August, 2017.

The existing marketing services of the Group will be aggregated under this new agency and will operate as its divisions. These include GolinOpinion – PR, reputation management; LinTeractive – digital marketing & transformation and LinEngage – activation, experiential & shopper. These divisions will come together to offer full-service horizontal offerings to clients of PointNine Lintas, while continuing to retain their vertical offerings for existing clients. The new agency has a roadmap to further expand its capabilities by adding new offerings to its service stack, including creative, media, technology and platforms.

Announcing the new agency, Joseph George (Joe), Group Chairman and CEO, MullenLowe Lintas Group said, “We made our intentions to go full-service clear four years ago. While the list of companies and industries pursuing full-service (under different labels) has grown tremendously in this time, the approach to it remains more or less the same. PointNine Lintas is a fresh take at an agency model that’s multi-faceted at its core. So far, only holding companies have seen some success with this approach, but it’s restricted to a handful of very large global clients. An agency network doing this would be a first, and we believe it could broaden the base of clients who can tap into it.”

Along with Lowe Lintas and Mullen Lintas, PointNine Lintas would be the third independent agency of the MullenLowe Lintas Group in India. Vikas Mehta, currently Group CMO and President, Marketing Services for MullenLowe Lintas Group, has been named CEO of PointNine Lintas.

Vikas has been with the MullenLowe Group for over a decade in various local and regional roles in the APAC region including Managing Director – Lowe Viet Nam and Regional Growth Officer – Lowe Asia-Pacific. He moved to MullenLowe Lintas Group India in 2013 as the country’s first agency-CMO. In 2014, he took an additional mandate to rebuild the group’s digital business by relaunching LinTeractive. Since 2015, he’s also been President of the Group’s Marketing Services divisions. Prior to his management stints, Vikas was a planner and he authored strategies, papers and case-studies that have won over 50 international awards for marketing effectiveness. Major ones include Effie (India, Singapore and APAC), Asian Marketing Effectiveness Awards, APAC Tambuli Awards, WARC Asia Prize for Strategy, 4A’s Jay Chiat Awards, among others.

Speaking of the appointment, Joes said, “I have worked closely with Vikas the past four years and I am absolutely certain that he is most qualified to deliver on this ambition. Not just because of his subject matter competencies required for a multi-service agency, but also for his passionate, stubborn and informed belief in ‘full service’ being the only way to go!”

Vikas said, “We have gone from the age of communication to the age of experiences. While the market has evolved at a furious pace, the agency models haven’t. The opportunity to take the Lintas pedigree and build an agency for the experiential economy is an inspiring one. Hyper-bundling is our biggest priority as a network and I’m grateful for the challenge to build a new agency that’s hyper-bundled from day zero”.

PointNine Lintas will work on an operating model that’s designed to evolve, much like the OS of your preferred device, to reflect the accelerated pace at which the marketing landscape is shifting. In fact, the name PointNine reflects exactly that; a philosophy of ‘forever beta’, by choice.

In a time when the practice of PR is more important than ever, but the business of PR is getting highly commoditized; he’s the kind of leader the industry needs. PR is an integral part of our re-bundled offering and GolinOpinion occupies a great position in the market today. Speaking of the promotion, Ameer Ismail, says, “I am so proud to be a part of this great institution – the MullenLowe Lintas Group and am looking forward to this new phase in my journey with a renewed focus and dedication towards delivering great work. GolinOpinion is recognized as a premium and leading player in the PR industry. We have today some of the best brands represented in our portfolio.
