    Innocean Worldwide bags creative duties of Sleepwell

    MUMBAI: Mattress and comfort accessories brand, Sleepwell, has roped in the Korean-agency network, Innocean Worldwide, to handle its creative mandate. 
     
    Rediffusion Y&R Worldwide is the incumbent agency.

    The account size is pegged at Rs 120 to 150 million.
     
    The mandate was awarded to Innocean, following a multi-agency pitch, which involved agencies such as Mudra, Everest, Crayons, Infinity, Triton, Apple and Vermillion.

    Sleepwell is owned by Sheela Foam Industries, which is aiming to take its communication strategy to the next level.
     
    The company‘s retail presence is being ramped up nationwide and retail branding is being standardised along with a new look to the product packaging.

    Mudra arms to handle Emirates’ media duties

    MUMBAI: Mudra West, a strategic business unit of Mudra India, has won the creative mandate for Emirates airlines.

    The digital duties of the aviation company is going to be handled by Tribal DDB India, a SBU of DDB Mudra..

    The mandate was handed out to Mudra following a multi-agency pitch.

    Mudra West president Arijit Ray said, “Emirates is one of the most prestigious global brands in the aviation space. It has built a formidable reputation as a world class airline over the last decade or so. We look forward to working closely with the brand team to build and consolidate the position that the brand has owned over the past few years. What is also significant is that it was a integrated pitch effort and Tribal DDB will work closely with the brand team on the digital strategy & creative”.

    Since Emirates is the official partner of the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup, Mudra West will work with its brand team in order to develop a communication package for this event.

    Tribal DDB India president Max Hegerman said, “This effort was about as seamless as it gets. It was really about thoroughly developing an idea – and from Tribal DDB India‘s perspective, bringing it alive in the digital space. We enjoyed partnering with Mudra, and are incredibly excited to be working side-by-side with them on an account as prestigious as Emirates. Especially since digital appears to be a very important part of their marketing mix.”

    The account will be handled out of the Mumbai offices for both Tribal DDB India and Mudra West.

  • Bhaskar Group appoints Bikash Banerjee as head of business – West & South

    MUMBAI: The Bhaskar Group has appointed Bikash Banerjee as head of business for West and South India. Spearheading the Group’s publications Banerjee will be responsible for marketing, sales and revenues of Dainik Bhaskar (South and West) and Divya Bhaskar (South) in these regions and will be based in Mumbai.

    He will replace Harrish M Bhatia who is moving on to Synergy Media, the radio venture of the company (MYFM 94.3), as Senior VP and business group head and will operate from Delhi.

    With 20 years of experience in marketing and sales, prior to the Bhaskar Group Banerjee has worked with ABP, Mid Day Multimedia Ltd, Vibrant Media (a joint venture of ABCL and Mudra) and Business Standard.

    Banerjee said, “I am delighted to join the group. The job is challenging, but with my experience and the outstanding track record of the group, I am sure of achieving great results.”
