    Mudra Max appoints Subhashish Sarkar as SVP for Outdoor

    MUMBAI: Mudra Max has appointed Subhashish Sarkar as senior vice president for its outdoor division.

    Sarkar will be heading Mudra Max OOH, North and East and will report directly to Mudra Max -OOH president Mandeep Malhotra.

    Prior to this, Sarkar was with Percept as business director North and East.

    Sarkar comes with over 17 years of experience in Outdoors. His initial years spanning ten years were spent in various positions in the Selvel Vantage Group, across Kolkata, Mumbai and New Delhi.
     
    Sarkar’s next stint was at Outdoor Advertising Professionals (OAP) in 2005 where he was credited with winning the Seagram’s (now Pernod Ricard India) OOH business and other major businesses during his tenure till 2010, before moving on to Percept Out Of Home.

    Mudra Max-OOH president Mandeep Malhotra said, “With Subhashish, we have a seasoned outdoor professional with experience in the Delhi market. His knowledge and professionalism will surely help us deliver superior OOH planning solutions to our clients.

    Sarkar has worked on various categories such as Auto, FMCG, Alcohol, Consumer Durables, Banking and Finance, Real Estate. Some of the notable brands he has worked on include Panasonic, Nestle, Bacardi and Daikin.

    “Along with strengthening the OOH team in North & East, he will also be working closely with other Mudra Max units integrating some really good work for our clients.

    Mudra Max wins Rs 1 bn Larsen & Toubro media account

    MUMBAI: Mudra Max has won the media buying and planning account for Larsen & Toubro Group.

    Besides other media verticals, the agency will also oversee digital media.

    The size of the account is estimated to be Rs 1 billion.
     
    Mudra Max CEO Pratap Bose confirmed the news to Indiantelevision.com.

    The mandate was won awarded following a multi-agency pitch involving Mindshare, Lintas Media Group and Lodestar UM.

    IDBI retains Maxus as media partner; Mudra Max wins OOH biz

    MUMBAI: IDBI Group has retained Maxus India as its media partner and assigned Mudra Max the Outdoor, below the line (BTL), direct and digital duties.

    Maxus managing director Ajit Varghese confirmed the business retention of the IDBI account to Indiantelevision.com.

    Mudra Max said it won the account following a multi-agency pitch. The account will be handled out of the agency‘s Mumbai office. 
     
    The pitch for the Outdoor business was called in March and was part of the tender which IDBI Bank floats every three years, as per applicable government guidelines.

    The agency will be responsible for handling its various sectors which includes IDBI Bank Ltd, IDBI Capital Management Services, IDBI Intech and IDBI Assets Management.

    Mudra Max CEO Pratap Bose said, “It‘s a significant win for us and I am happy with the way we are moving ahead. We look forward to IDBI Bank Group bringing innovative thinking and a strategic direction to the brand.”

    Mudra Max ropes in Khanna as media head, west

    MUMBAI: Mudra Max has appointed Samir Khanna as the media head — west.

    Prior to this appointment, Khanna was in-charge of Mumbai clients for Mudra India.

    Khanna will be looking after Mumbai and Ahmedabad clients and will be based out of Mumbai. He will report to Mudra Max CEO Pratap Bose and will also work closely with the other unit heads of Mudra Max.

    Mudra Max has recently integrated all the mass media teams as a single unit media in the West as Mudra Max Media.

    Khanna has over 13 years of professional experience in media. He started his career with HTA and agencies such as Lodestar, TME and Madison. He has managed HUL brands, ITC, Kodak, Godrej, Parle among others.

    Bose said the consolidation of the mass media services will enable us to portray scale and cohesiveness to the industry. “It will leverage our volume of media buys more effectively to add value to existing clients and help us in the acquisition of new businesses. With the new structure, we hope to make Mudra Max Media a force to reckon with in the industry. I wish Samir and the Mudra Max media team loads of success in the year ahead.”

    Mudra Max creates Slice Mango lounges

    MUMBAI: Mudra Max has launched an on-the-ground promotional activation for Slice, PepsiCo’s mango drink. Slice Mango lounges aims to reach out over 1.5 million consumers by the end of the campaign in June 2011.

    The agency has stationed Mobile–Slice Mango lounges at multiple locations in various cities across India. According to Mudra, the key task is to make the target audience taste mango packaged in the form of Slice.

    The Slice Mango lounges have been created out of four buses, where the visitors are served Slice based mocktails.

    Mudra Max Celsius SVP Sanjay Kacker said, “Bringing the product to life’ was the objective and we were successful in doing so, thus allowing the end consumers to actually sense & feel the brand closely. This innovative use of consumer sampling will not only give the consumer a taste but will also help drive consumption via repeat purchase.”

    Mudra Max appoints Anwesh Bose as branch head-North & East

    MUMBAI:Mudra Max has appointed Anwesh Bose as its branch head for North and East.

    Prior to this appointment he was with the Dentsu India Group as chief growth officer-media.

    Said Mudra Connext EVP and country head Manas Mishra, “With Anwesh we have a seasoned media professional with experience in the Delhi market. His experience with the many national and international brands, the partnerships he has built with media and clients will all help us in further strengthening our operation in Delhi and Kolkata.     Mudra Max appoints Sonia Lal as vice president South- OOH

    MUMBAI: Mudra Max, a part of the Mudra Group, has appointed Sonia Lal as the vice president for its outdoor division- South India.

    Prior to this appointment, Lal was with the Bangalore based company Serve & Volley- Media Division as business head.

    Says Mudra Max-OOH Mandeep Malhotra president, “Sonia brings on board business experience and market understanding. She also carries the confidence of media owners which is essential for this business. Her passion and well understanding of business makes her a strong OOH person at Mudra Max.”

    Adds Lal, “It‘s an honor as well as a challenge to be part of the Mudra team. I keenly look forward to work with the Group and I am certain that as we move along, we will greatly strengthen our capabilities in outdoor solutions.”

    In her career spanning over 12 years, Lal has worked for seven years with IDBI Bank and three years with a mid-sized steel fabrication company.

    Some of the notable clients that Lal has worked with include Arvind Brands Retail business -Megamart and TVS Motors. She has also played a crucial role during the launch of Tata Tea‘s fruit and tea based health drink in South India.

    Sakal ropes in Indranil Datta as marketing head

    MUMBAI: The Sakal Group has roped in Indranil Datta as its marketing head.

    Datta moves to Sakal from Mudra Max where he was senior vice-president. He will be responsible for the branding of all the power brands in the group.
     
    Said Datta, “I am thrilled to be a part of the Sakal media group.”

    In his more than 20 years of experience, Datta has worked with agencies such as Ogilvy and Zenith Media. He was vice president in TME and Optimum Media Solutions.
     
    “I will be handling brand Management and strategies. My initial months will go in understanding the Group‘s strong values and taking a deep dive into the portfolio of brands. Each brand is uniquely positioned in the market place catering to its own loyal audience. So I have a lot of home work to do,” added Datta when asked about his plans.
