    Zee Studio enters; History TV18 replaces Discovery in BARC week 52

    MUMBAI: Movies Now 2 made an exit making way for Zee Studio. The players in the English Movies genre witnessed an increase in the ratings.  In the Infotainment space, History TV18 toppled Discovery Channel, thus dominating the genre. Players in the factual entertainment genre also observed a substantial hike in its viewership.

    According to the week 52 ratings data of Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India, channels in the English Entertainment space saw mixed ratings. Star World dominated the genre. Living Foodz with an increase in the ratings was at the numero uno place in the Lifestyle space.

    English Entertainment 

    Star World hoped on to the number one position thus dominating the genre with 238 Impressions (‘000s). Comedy Central with a decline in the ratings sustained at the second spot with 192 Impressions (‘000s) followed by Zee Café with 166 Impressions (‘000s). AXN fell to the fourth position with 155 Impressions (‘000s) whereas Colors Infinity SD maintained itself on the fifth rank with 84 Impressions (‘000s).

    English Movies 

    Sony Pix with an increase in the ratings continued to dominate the genre with 2736 Impressions (‘000s). Movies Now with 2684 Impressions (‘000s) stood at the number two position. Star Movies with 2658 Impressions (‘000s) grabbed the third position followed by Zee Studio at the fourth position with 1807 Impressions (‘000s). HBO took the fifth place with 1605 Impressions (‘000s).

    Infotainment

    History TV 18 toppled Discovery Channel this week ruling the genre with 5616 Impressions (‘000s). Discovery Channel was at the second spot with 5443 Impressions (‘000s). National Geographic with 3174 Impressions (‘000s) and Animal Planet with 3044 Impressions (‘000s) took the third and fourth position, respectively. Nat Geo Wild stood at the fifth position with 2932 Impressions (‘000s).

    Lifestyle increase

    Living Foodz with a hike in its ratings sustained its number one position with 1801 Impressions (‘000s). Fox Life took the second berth with 867 Impressions (‘000s) followed by Food Food  with 577 Impressions (‘000s). FYI TV 18 with 519 Impressions (‘000s) and TLC with 502 Impressions (‘000s) bagged the fourth and fifth position, respectively.

The English movies genre witnessed an increase in its viewership led by Sony Pix. The channels in the English entertainment genre witnessed mixed ratings with AXN dominating the space. Colors Infinity SD replaced Colors Infinity HD in this week’s ratings.

    According to the week 51 ratings data of Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India, Discovery Channel continued to be at the number one place. The channels in the Infotainment space observed mixed ratings this week.

    Living Foodz stood at the number one position in the lifestyle genre.

    English Entertainment

    AXN toppled Star Movies dominating the genre with 237 Impressions (‘000s) followed by Comedy Central at the number two slot with 215 Impressions (‘000s). Star World with 212 Impressions (‘000s) and Zee Café with 206 Impressions (‘000s) were at the third and fourth position, respectively. Colors Infinity SD sustained at the fifth spot with 75 Impressions (‘000s).

    Sony Pix replaced Movies Now taking the number one position with 2706 Impressions (‘000s). Movies Now with 2455 Impressions (‘000s) stood at the number two position. Star Movies with 2230 Impressions (‘000s) grabbed the third position followed by Movies Now 2 at the fourth position with 1584 Impressions (‘000s). HBO took the fifth place with 1504 Impressions (‘000s).

    According to the week 49 ratings data of Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India, Discovery Channel, after several weeks, jumped up to the number one position replacing History TV18 in the infotainment space.

    Living Foodz stood at the number one position in the lifestyle genre. Apart from FYI TV18, all the rest players observed a decline in the ratings this week.

    English Entertainment

    Comedy Central with a decrease in its ratings dominated the genre with 342 Impressions (‘000s) as compared to 366 Impressions (‘000s) in week 48. AXN jumped to the number two slot with 214 Impressions (‘000s) followed by Star World with 198 Impressions (‘000s). Zee Café was at the fourth position with 168 Impressions (‘000s) while Colors Infinity SD sustained at the fifth spot with 103 Impressions (‘000s).

    Creed continues the saga of retired boxer Rocky Balboa, who returns as the trainer and mentor of Adonis Johnson, the son of his greatest rival Apollo Creed.     Comedy Central stood at the number one position with 332 Impressions (‘000s) followed by Zee Cafe with 171 Impressions (‘000s) in the second place. The third position was secured by AXN with 147 Impressions (‘000s) while Star World held the fourth position with 134 Impressions (‘000s). Colors Infinity SD took the fifth spot with 67 Impressions (‘000s).

    English Movies

    Star Movies continued to stay in the first place with 2549 Impressions (‘000s) followed by Movies Now with 2443 Impressions (‘000s). Sony Pix with 2339 Impressions (‘000s) grabbed the third position. Zee Studio secured the fourth position with 1785 Impressions (‘000s) whereas HBO with 1569 Impressions (‘000s) was at the fifth place.
