    ‘100 Mania’ set to return with latest season on Movies Now

    Mumbai: Ushering the new year, Movies Now has launched the ninth season of its popular property, “100 Mania.” Making the property more interactive and collaborative this season, Movies Now is leading an integrated campaign synchronising network channels and its social media platforms.

    Offering an immersive viewer engagement, “100 Mania: Season 9” leads with the premise #100DaysOfDelight, where viewers can win daily prizes by watching their favourite Hollywood films every night at 9 p.m on the channel. This latest season of “100 Mania” is presented by Kia.

    The previous eight seasons of “100 Mania” have witnessed unparalleled organic consumer engagement, registering active viewer participation with an average of 3500 calls per day and has gratified 800 winners across 20+ cities to date, said the channel in a statement. “The previous season of ‘100 Mania’ garnered a reach of 4.4 million and 5.6 million impressions across the network’s social media platforms,” it added.

    Promising film aficionados an immersive Hollywood experience, the property will feature the biggest action blockbusters including “The Amazing Spiderman,” “The Last Airbender,” “Spiderman: Far From Home,” “Tom & Jerry,” “Apocalypto,” “Wonder Woman 1984,” and “Transformers: The Age Of Extinction” among others.

    ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ to premiere on Movies Now, MNX and MN+

    Mumbai: Bringing the best of Hollywood blockbusters and the most anticipated film titles to television viewers in India, Movies Now, MNX and MN+ are set to bring the Indian television premiere of “Wonder Woman 1984” on 31 October at 1 p.m and 9 p.m.

    Based on one of the most loved DC Comics superheroines of all time, Wonder Woman aka Diana Prince, the film is the ninth installment in the DC Extended Universe and a stand-alone sequel to 2017’s “Wonder Woman,” taking place 66 years after the events of the previous film.

    Directed by Patty Jenkins, the film features Gal Gadot stars as Wonder Woman, alongside Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Kristen Wiig as The Cheetah, Pedro Pascal as Maxwell Lord.

    Set in the year 1984, the film follows Diana’s life after saving the world in Wonder Woman (2017). With the memory of captain Steve Trevor, etched on her mind, Diana becomes embroiled in a sinister conspiracy of global proportions when a transparent, golden-yellow gemstone catches the eye of the power-hungry entrepreneur, Maxwell Lord. With Maxwell Lord and The Cheetah out to destroy the earth and her long-lost lover, Steve Trevor resurrected from the dead; Diana has to muster up all her strength and powers once again to save the world from evil.

    Magnifying the excitement during the days leading up to the premiere for the fans on digital media, the channels host a special social media trivia contest, which tests viewers’ knowledge about Wonder Woman through a pop quiz on Instagram stories, said the statement.

    “The contest will have three levels, wherein audience can play the first level on Movies Now, then hop on to MNX for the second level and finish the final round on MN+. Integrating the theme of the film to showcase a sneak peek into the personal lives of real-life Wonder Women, a fun Q & A reels featuring popular celebrities and news anchors is also being rolled out across the Instagram pages of the channels,” it added.

    Offering viewers a chance to express their creative side and design their version of an Indian Wonder Woman, the channels have commenced the #IndianWonderWoman contest, inviting participants to share their artwork on their SM handle. Selected winners and their sketches will be featured across the social media platforms of the channels and they will also win an eclectic mix of Wonder Woman goodies.

    On the premiere day, Movies Now will host a one-of-a-kind Watch and Win contest, where viewers have to tweet the letters they spot on TV with the hashtag #WW84Words, tagging the channel. Evoking nostalgia with some of the most memorable and iconic articles from the 80s,  MNX on 31 October will host a contest, where viewers can identify the items that will flash on the screen and tweet their answers using the hashtag #WW84Nostalgia, said the channels in a statement.

    Mumbai: Times Network movie channels Movies Now, MNX, Romedy Now, and MN+ have announced a special programming lineup for Diwali.

    Movies Now will air films like “XXX: Return of Xander Cage,” “Quantum of Solace,” “Bumblebee,” “Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen,” and “Men In Black: International” at 9 p.m every night. It will also air films like “Die Another Day,” “Apocalypto,” “Sherlock Holmes,” “Spectre” and more on weekdays at 11 p.m. 

    On 4 November, the channel will bring the biggest blockbuster superhero films like “Wonder Woman 1984,” “Spiderman: Far from Home,” “The Dark Knight Rises,” and “Transformers: The Last Knight.”

    MNX will air films like “Source Code,” “The Tuxedo,” “Zombieland: Double Tap,” “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug,” “Walking Tall,” and “The World is Not Enough” every day at 9 p.m.

    Romedy Now will telecast the films “13 Going on 30,” “Monte Carlo,” “Marmaduke,” “Fly Me To The Moon” starting at 11 p.m every night. It will also air films such as “The Hustle,” “French Kiss,” “The Vow,” “Zookeeper,” “Where’d You Go, Bernadette” and more on 4 and 5 November starting at 8 a.m onwards.

    MN+ will air films such as “Irma La Douce,” “The Comfort of Strangers,” “Company Business” and more every night at 11 p.m. On 4 and 5 November, it will showcase “Bright Nights,” “Rain Man,” “The Internship,” “The Terminal,” “Erin Brockovich,” “Birdman,” “Raging Bull” and more from 9 a.m onwards.

    Movies Now and MNX to premiere ‘Gretel & Hansel’ on 8 August

    Mumbai: ‘Gretel & Hansel’, a nightmarish coming of age film released in 2020, will make its television premiere on Movies Now and MNX. The film will air on 8 August, at 1 pm and 9 pm.

    Directed by Oz Perkins and produced by Fred Berger and starring Alice Krige, Sophia Lillis, and Sam Leakey among others, the film is an adaptation of the German folklore tale ‘Hansel and Gretel’ by the Brothers Grimm.

    A story about truly finding oneself and acknowledging the light and dark within, ‘Gretel and Hansel’ is an intriguing representation of the classic German tale.

  • Times Hollywood Network launches FIT UP initiative

    Mumbai: Celebrating International Yoga Day, Times Hollywood Network- Movies NOW, MNX, Romedy NOW and MN+ has announced FIT UP, a special initiative that will motivate viewers to stay fit & active while watching their favorite Hollywood movies.

    The Network has roped in Bollywood Actor and yoga expert, Sarah Jane Dias who will help viewers kickstart their fitness journey with some easy to do yoga asanas presented through a series of curated short videos which will play during the ad breaks between the 7 am to 7 pm movies across the channels. 

    “With Work from Home becoming the new normal, restrained physical activity has been a major challenge to people’s mental and physical health. Starting this Yoga day, the ten-day long initiative will encourage viewers to perform ten different yoga asanas focussed to help relieve stress, anxiety and other common strains & sprains induced by the WFH environment,” said the network in a statement.

    Dialling up the engagement quotient across digital platforms, Movies NOW, MNX, Romedy NOW and MN+ social media handles will host a series of interactive activities, which will help viewers stay informed and take a step closer to choosing a healthier life. Through Fit-Up IG AR Filter, consumers can recreate a yoga pose within the outline provided. As a part of the launch on Yoga Day, the channels will run an Instagram reel challenge, #FitUpwithSarah, a contest through which consumers can replicate the yoga asana posted by Sarah Jane Dias.

The movie explores the ghoulish details of the Addam’s and the endearing sweetness of their dynamic relationship in today’s era.

    A sequel, The Addams Family 2 with Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan returning to direct, is scheduled to release in October 2021.

    Lars Klevberg’s Child’s Play, is a soul-stirring horror adaption of the 1988 film of the same name and is the reboot of the quintessential Child’s Play franchise. The thrilling plot is based on the cult favorite character, ‘Chucky’ as a Buddi Doll and his hearing-impaired master Andy played by Gabriel Bateman. The slasher flick creates a petrifying visual of a lively toy with the help of artificial intelligence and follows a family terrorized by a high-tech doll who becomes self-aware and subsequently murderous. Veteran actor, Mark Hamill best known for his portrayal of Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars saga and voice of Joker in Batman: The Animated Series, has lent his voice for the doll Chucky.
