    Yours Truly on Romedy NOW with Alia & Gauri gets under way

    MUMBAI: Latest Bollywood sensation, Alia Bhatt and English Vinglish fame director, Gauri Shinde get up close and personal with Romedy NOW on its’ first-of-its-kind property ‘Yours Truly’. Viewers of Romedy NOW, a premium English entertainment channel, will now get a chance to get a sneak peek into the deep held feelings of these stars on love, life, happiness, friendships, relationships, destiny and imperfections of life.

    These exclusive videos of conversations between Alia Bhatt and Gauri Shinde are set to go on air from Monday, 14 November, and will be aired throughout the day in intervals for the entire month of November. ‘Yours Truly’ will be a part of a larger property on Romedy NOW called, ‘Life Happens’, a movie festival that will feature movies that connect to the theme of Dear Zindagi.

    Director Gauri Shinde said, “Life in general is complicated, it’s never simple and hence it should be about enjoying these little things. There couldn’t have been a better platform for us which is so similar to the theme of our movie and we look forward to engaging with maximum audience through ‘Yours Truly’.”

    Dear Zindagi has the unusual but crackling pairing of Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt on screen with director Gauri Shinde of English Vinglish joining hands with Gauri Khan and Karan Johar under the banners of Red Chillies Entertainment, Dharma Productions, and Hope Productions. The film has all the ingredients of a blockbuster.

    The line-up in Life Happens includes movies that are romantic comedies and are both popular and critically acclaimed. Begin Again, which is a one of the line-ups, is a film about a beautiful collaboration of two budding talents in music, with an IMDB rating of over seven and will air on Saturday, 19 November at 9pm.

    Aakash Aath to woo cine-lovers with movie festivals

    KOLKATA: Aakash Aath is all set to entertain its viewers with four movie festivals for an entire month starting 5 December.

     

    The channel will air films everyday from 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm from its library and the festival will last till 3 January 2015.

     

    The festival will start with the telecast of Uttam Kumar films from 5 to 14 December. The movie list includes ‘Sanyasi Raja’, ‘Moroner Pore’, ‘Jay Jayanti’, ‘Rajlakshmi o Srikanto’, ‘Sudhu Ekti Bochor’ among others.

     

    “Uttam Kumar is an all-time favourite and we have some of his best movies in our library. It is one of the rarest collections which one will get to see nowhere else,” says Aakash Aath director Eshita Surana.

     

    Comedy films like Dhanni Meye’, ‘Miss Priyambada’, ‘Proxy’ and ‘Sriman Prithviraj’ will air from 15 to 21 December.

     

    From 22 to 28 December, the channel will air movies of the veteran actor Prasenjit which will include movies like ‘Duti Pata’, ‘Amar Sangi’, ‘Aboojh Mon’, and ‘Sangharsha’ among others.

     

    Last but not the least, the year ending dhamaka will start from 28 December and continue till 3 January which will see films like ‘Joy Bijoy’, ‘Chameli Memsaheb’, ‘Sankhachur’, and Bhagya Devta among others.

     

    The channel is working hard at marketing the film festival? She answers, “We are promoting it through the channel, mailers across agencies and clients and a viewer bank, whatsapp, push messages, news paper ads and listing.”

     

    When asked about expected viewership, she said the package will pull viewers of all ages as numerous genres have been captured.
