    MUMBAI: ITC Ltd. has announced definitive agreements to acquire the remaining 73.5 per cent stake in Mother Sparsh Baby Care Private Ltd. an Ayurvedic and natural baby care brand for Rs 81 crore, through a mix of primary subscription and secondary share purchase. This will bring ITC’s total investment in Mother Sparsh to approximately Rs 126 crore.

    Mother Sparsh, which has been an associate company of ITC since 2021, has built a strong reputation among Indian mothers for its Ayurvedic, natural products spanning baby personal care, health and hygiene, and specialised baby care solutions. The brand’s digital-first model and robust presence across its D2C platform and e-commerce channels have helped it achieve an impressive annual revenue run rate of over Rs 110 crore.

    The acquisition aligns with ITC’s ‘ITC Next’ vision, spearheaded by chairman Sanjiv Puri, which is focused on creating a future-ready portfolio by tapping into high-growth, digital-first segments.

    The acquisition process will be completed over the next two-three years, with the Mother Sparsh team including founder & CEO Himanshu continuing to head operations during this transition phase.

    Mumbai: Baby and mother care brand Mother Sparsh has kickstarted the #MomYouAreNotAlone campaign to spread awareness and promote conversations on postpartum blues.

    While statistics suggest that nearly seven out of every 10 mothers globally battle postpartum blues, more worrisome is the fact that new moms feel that seeking professional treatment for their woes is unwarranted. The campaign was launched by Mother Sparsh to end the stigma around the issue and converse in a place of refuge that helps women comprehend their emotions even better.

    “Post childbirth when new moms begin to heal and their bodies adjust to not being pregnant, it is referred to as the postpartum period. Most vulnerable phase for a woman, this period often interferes with their ability to take care of themselves or their little ones. This is where they require a shoulder to lean on or at least an assurance that their pain points are being taken cognizance of. We intend to do precisely,” said Mother Sparsh co-founder and CEO Dr Himanshu Gandhi.

    The campaign roadmap for the non-monetised activity includes engagement with celebrities, mom influencers and a large pool of micro as well as macro-influencers.

    “To make the campaign more informative and interactive, we have collaborated with noted Maternal Child Wellness Coach & Activist Dr Mahima Bakshi, who has designed the campaign to refrain all moms from neglecting their emotions and feelings,” Gandhi further added.

    The cause and initiative would be supported on the Mother Sparsh website and different social media platforms through periodical live sessions and incorporation in social media activities.

    Mumbai: Baby & mother care brand Mother Sparsh has announced the appointment of Himanshu Chandel as head of marketing and growth. The on-boarding of Chandel is aligned with the brand’s vision to achieve a landmark feat in the D2C space by clocking 10 times growth in the website sales, it said on Monday.

    In his new role, Chandel would spearhead the brand’s overall marketing & growth strategy along with analytics to focus on product innovation.

    Mother Sparsh co-founder and CEO Himanshu Gandhi asserted that the appointment of Chandel is also “in sync with the brand’s next growth chapter that majorly is around building the world class brand that thrives in a digital-first world”. “Speed, precision, and timing will play a major role in our next phase of growth journey, as winning customer loyalty and improving customer lifetime value are sacrosanct for us,” he added.

    Prior to Mother Sparsh, Chandel has been instrumental in scaling a number of brands such as Pipa Bella – now acquired by Nykaa, Homescapes Europa Ltd and Passion Gaming, which registered multi-fold growth in terms of user acquisition under his leadership. He has served as a senior-level executive across different segments like gaming, dating & matrimony, e-commerce, cryptocurrency, and BlockChain.

    “We intend to scale Mother Sparsh to being a 100 crore brand by FY ’23, and alongside other prerequisites, we are committed to enhancing brand loyalty among the consumers,” said Chandel. “The key growth lever for us would be placing end consumers at the centre of the overall strategy while we would strongly leverage retention marketing strategies along with advanced mar-tech stack. The brand would continue to scale acquisitions with the right set of the marketing mix.”

    MUMBAI: Baby care brand Mother Sparsh, which is marking its presence in the unisex personal care segment, recently concluded the first leg of a unique campaign focused on the virtues of Ayurveda in hair care. More than 5,000 influencers from across different social media and digital platforms, including Instagram and YouTube, were roped in as part of the campaign titled #AyurvedaForHairHealth.

    The first leg of the campaign, which commenced in February, registered an estimated reach of approximately 10 million users.
