    ‘Bigg Boss’ Malayalam set to return with new season on Asianet

    Mumbai: In a bid to further bolster its content portfolio, Asianet on Monday announced the fourth season of “Bigg Boss” Malayalam. Hosted by veteran actor Mohan Lal, the show is slated for premiere on 27 March.

    The show has signed-up Nerolac Paints as the ‘co-presenting sponsor,’ India Gate Basmati Rice as the ‘co-powered sponsor,’ and Eyetex Dazzler as ‘special partner.’ Asianet recently unveiled the official logo of the latest season.

    “The show has been one of the highest-rated properties in Malayalam entertainment on TV for the last three seasons, and with the upcoming season of Bigg Boss, we are confident of further strengthening our content portfolio in the Malayalam-speaking market,” said the channel’s spokesperson. “Every brand that has been associated with Bigg Boss has managed to redefine their presence in the market and we look forward to continuing this trend.”

    MUMBAI: Indian premium streaming platform, Hotstar reached out to its Malayalam speaking users and fans, accompanied by its new brand ambassador, the superstar of Malayalam cinema yesterday. Hotstar  offers more than 4000 hours of Malayalam content  including a large collection of the latest and classic Malayalam movies, and popular TV shows.

    The launch will be followed by a six-week multi-media campaign featuring iconic Mohan Lal across TV, print, outdoor and digital. Hotstar plans to connect with its strong regional language audiences in the major regional markets of South India.

    Speaking at the event, Mohan Lal said, “I feel proud that Kerala not only has the highest literacy rate, but also boasts of a large number of digitally savvy youth.     Amrita TV’s big ticket plans for Vishu festival

    MUMBAI: Amrita TV is going to usher one of the most revered festivals of Kerela –Vishu in style with the world TV premier of Peruchazi.

     

    The movie featuring mega star Mohan Lal will be telecast on 15 April at 7 pm. The movie has been extensively shot in the US in the backdrop of the American Elections, co- stars Ragini, Mukesh, Baburaj, Aju Vargeesh and Vijay Thomas.

     

    The morning session of Vishu day will start with the heritage programme of Amrita TV namely Udayamritam at 6.30 am.

     

    Later at 11.30 am, the channel will telecast snippets from new Malayalam movies slated for release during the Vishu week.

     

    The other major Vishu highlights on Amrita TV is an exclusive chat show with reigning star, Kajal Agarwal, who has acted in Tamil superhits like Thuppaki , Jilla Bollywood blockbusters Singham, Special 26 and playing the female lead alongside Superstars Vijay, Mohanlal, Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar.

     

    The chat with Agarwal will be telecast on 15 April at 12 noon. This programme will be followed by Vishu day cookery show special, Taste of Kerala.

     

    The post-lunch session which starts from 2 pm will have glimpses of the recently held successful music and dance festival called Beypore Fest. The event features playback singers Sayanora and Mridula and dances by Iniya and Team, including performances by major TV serial actors.

    MUMBAI: Push Integrated Communications has been awarded the creative duties of the Celebrity Cricket League 2013. The mandate includes creative development and execution across multiple media platforms.

    The ad spends on the league will be in the range of Rs 100 million.

This year CCL will be telecast on eight channels of Star in as many languages. The league stretches from 19 February to 10 March.

    BANGALORE: Sania Mirza and Kerala superstar Mohan Lal recently inaugurated Malabar Jewels and Diamonds Ltd, eighth retail outlet and the first one outside Kerala, in Bangalore.
