    MUMBAI: Talk about a bright idea! Mirchi has flipped the switch on the world’s first live solar-powered radio studio, proving that sunshine can power more than just rooftops, it can fuel an entire cultural moment.

    In partnership with the Adani Group’s campaign Hum Karke Dikhate Hain, Mirchi staged live solar-fuelled broadcasts in Mumbai and Ahmedabad. RJ Jeeturaaj, RJ Krutarth and RJ Urvi kept the energy high at two buzzing venues: the BMC Office Selfie Point near CST and Gurudwara Crossroads in Thaltej. The twist? Every watt came straight from the sun.

    The shows blended music, interviews and tales of clean energy transforming lives, from farmers and schools to hospitals. And this wasn’t a one-off spectacle. Mirchi rolled the movement out across 30 cities, with its RJs sharing real-world stories of how solar power is lighting up India.

    At the campaign’s heart sits Suraj Bhaiya Hain Na, a film showcasing Adani’s renewable vision and underscoring that solar energy is not just possible but scalable, practical and even cultural.

With over 18 years of experience in sales and marketing across diverse sectors, Khera is set to drive profitable growth and enhance operational excellence within the organization.

    In his new role, Khera will lead strategic initiatives aimed at exceeding business objectives while building high-performing teams and fostering strong client relationships. He brings a wealth of expertise in identifying market opportunities and delivering integrated media solutions aligned with clients’ marketing goals.

    Previously, Khera served as vice president of revenue and brand solutions at Mirchi, where he successfully grew the company’s market share through innovative sales strategies and collaborations with cross-functional teams.

    Khera is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, where he completed an executive program in leadership and management. His track record of developing award-winning campaigns and driving significant revenue growth will be instrumental as he takes on this new leadership position at Mirchi.

    Mumbai: SBI Life Insurance in collaboration with Mirchi, launched the 14 edition of the SBI Life Spell Bee 2024— ‘Bee Spellbound.’ The competition returns with a broader vision, empowering India’s young spellers to become future leaders by celebrating learning, creativity, and progress.

    The 14th edition spans across 30 cities and over 500 schools, engaging more than three lakh students. The top 50 students will qualify for the national finale, with the ultimate champion earning the prestigious title of ‘Spellmaster of India 2024.’ The winner will receive a prize of Rs one lakh and a trip to Disneyland, Hong Kong.

    The theme ‘Bee Spellbound!’ reflects the competition’s mission to nurture leadership alongside spelling excellence. SBI Life aims to equip students with the tools of empowerment, encouraging them to excel academically and in life. The competition highlights that words are not just letters but vehicles of confidence and progress.

    Mirchi Metro takeover: Mumbai’s Andheri Metro Station becomes the epicentre of entertainment

    Mumbai: Mirchi, a city-centric music and entertainment company, collaborates with Mumbai Metro Line 1 for its innovative three-day initiative Mirchi Metro. The initiative’s core theme – Ruk Hans Chal – invites Mumbaikars to pause, smile, and then continue with their day with renewed energy. Mirchi is all set to redefine entertainment for its listeners and air live shows straight out of one of the busiest metro stations in the city – Andheri.

    From January 31 to 2 February, all Mirchi RJs including RJ Jeeturaj, RJ Prerna, RJ Dnyaneshwari, RJ Megha, and RJ Yashi, among others will take over the Andheri metro station to host their live radio shows from 8 am to 9 pm. Throughout the three days, the commuters will witness a unique musical experience during their metro ride as Mirchi curates a special program Mirchi Music Taxi.

    Beyond the live shows, Mirchi brings a host of on-ground activities to create a diverse and engaging experience for commuters. Each day Mirchi will execute an interactive activity on-ground in line with a distinct theme – ‘Ruk-Hans-Chal’ on Day 1, ‘Ruk-Gaa-Chal’ on Day 2, and ‘Ruk-Nach-Chal’ on Day 3. On the first day, Mirchi RJs will engage with commuters to bring smiles to their face; on the second and third day, commuters will get the chance to showcase their singing and dancing skills, respectively. Mirchi will also reward the best performances with goodies adding a touch of joy to Mumbaikars’ daily commute. That’s not all! Metro travellers can look forward to spotting actors Vidyut Jamwal and Nora Fatehi on 2 February, as they launch the latest track from their upcoming movie ‘CRAKK’ at Mirchi’s Metro booth exclusively.

    Mumbai: Mirchi, India’s city-centric music and entertainment company has announced the launch of its latest afternoon radio show, ‘Seedhi Jalebiyan’ in Mumbai. Hosted by the dynamic duo of Mirchi RJ Dnyaneshwari and Mirchi RJ Megha, the show is all set to air every day from 12 to 5 pm on 98.3 Mirchi. It is conceptualized to cater to male audiences and provide them with unique takes on subjects such as men’s grooming, relationships, and more. With expert guidance at its core, Seedhi Jalebiyan is a dedicated space where men can engage in a fun banter, gain fresh perspectives and valuable insights.

    Mirchi collaborated with the Nutan Mumbai Tiffin Boxes Suppliers Charity Trust and Mumbai Tiffin Boxes Suppliers Association, known as Mumbai ke Dabbewalas. The collaboration was aimed at stirring intrigue and excitement among listeners by curating and distributing customized boxes of straight-shaped jalebis across Mumbai. In a playful twist, listeners were tipped off to keep a watchful eye on their dabbas, ensuring that they were in for an unexpected treat.

    As a lead-up to the show’s launch, A-lister celebrities including Vicky Kaushal, Emraan Hashmi, Fatima Sana Sheikh, Aamir Ali, and Sharad Kelkar lent their voice to endorse the show on 98.3 Mirchi.     Mumbai: Mirchi, a city-centric music and entertainment company, collaborates with SBI Life Insurance, one of the most trusted private life insurers in India, to present the 13 edition of Spell Bee- ‘Spellmasters of India’. The association provides a meaningful platform for young minds across the country, by encouraging them to pursue their dreams and excel in an invaluable life skill. Being India’s largest spelling competition, Spell Bee, which is open for students from grades fifth to ninth, aims to positively captivate young minds towards honing their skills, nurturing their intellect & boosting their confidence.

    The 13 editions of Spell Bee, will see participation from more than 3,00,000 students from 350 schools across 30 cities. The top 75 students will qualify for the National Semi-Final and only the top 16 will compete in a grand finale, which will be aired exclusively on Disney+. The winner will also have the chance to claim a grand prize of Rs 1,00,000 and an all-expenses-paid trip to Disneyland, Hong Kong.

    Yatin Mehrishi appointed as CEO of Mirchi, ENIL

    Mumbai: Entertainment Network India’s (ENIL) Mirchi, one of India’s largest city-centric music and entertainment companies, has strengthened its leadership position as it has announced the appointment of Yatish Mehrishi as its CEO.

    Prashant Pandey, who was previously managing director & CEO of Mirchi, ENIL, will continue his role and duties as managing director.

    Mehrishi will be spearheading the company’s performance across all dimensions and will continue to ensure Mirchi remains the audience’s go-to destination for all things music and entertainment.

    He is a seasoned professional with over 23 years of experience across diverse sectors spanning FMCG, telecom, and fashion, having worked with organisations like Pepsico, Motorola, and Arvind Fashions, which was his previous stint as chief revenue officer.

    Having worked with ENIL earlier for 11 years as chief operating officer, he brings with him a rich experience and a strong understanding of the radio, media & entertainment industry.
