    Mumbai: India’s most desirable luxury car maker, Mercedes-Benz, today announced an organizational change in its External Affairs and Corporate Citizenship function. The company has appointed Dr Shyam Sunder as the head of external affairs and corporate citizenship, effective from 26 August 2024. Dr Shyam will report to Santosh Iyer, managing director & CEO. In his new role, Dr Shyam will lead Mercedes-Benz India’s government relations, public policy advocacy, and policy initiatives. He will foster close collaboration with policymakers and industry leaders, and work to build communities through Mercedes-Benz’s diverse corporate citizenship programmes.

    Mercedes-Benz elevates Pradeep Srinivas as marketing head

    MUMBAI: German premium carmaker Mercedes-Benz on Wednesday rejigged its sales and marketing unit and brought in Pradeep Srinivas as head of the marketing and customer services, replacing Amit Thete.

    Srinivas will be taking the responsibility of marketing and customer journey from 17 May, Mercedes-Benz India said in a statement.

    He was earlier helming the company’s e-commerce, data management and system functions. In his new position, he will be responsible for managing Mercedes-Benz India’s vehicle preparation centre (VPC), outbound logistics and dealer stock management, it said.

    Thete will be moving to head the sales operations, the luxury carmaker said, adding that the new role of sales operations will be a significant catalyst for Mercedes-Benz’s future growth and customer centricity.

    NEW DELHI: Days after stepping down as corporate communications lead at Mercedes-Benz R&D India, Ira Pradhan has joined Freshworks as leader of internal communications, diversity & inclusion, and CSR.

    Freshworks provides SaaS customer engagement solutions through a suite of products for organisations of all sizes.

    Pradhan made the announcement in a post on professional networking platform LinkedIn.

    “Often described as a rocketship by most who work here, Freshworks has inspired many, including me, by being a global product company from India, a home-bred SaaS unicorn with one of the most talked about people culture. I am excited to begin this next step in my career and thrilled to work with some of the most talented group of individuals across the globe,” she wrote.

    Pradhan was with Mercedes-Benz India for a little over six years, from September 2014 to November 2020. She has over 15 years of experience in communications and has worked with brands like Philips, Wipro and Tesco in the past.

    She was recently named among the 20 Rising Stars of 2020 by PRovoke Media in its annual Influence 100 report. She also mentors young women professionals through the Shenomics program: Lead Like a Girl.

    MUMBAI: Jai Lala has joined for the newly created position of chief operating officer (COO) at Zenith and will oversee operations, structure and expansion in addition to the scaling up of specialised, future-facing offerings for the agency. The focus will be on areas where Zenith is already market-leading such as data, dynamic content, tech, analytics, performance and programmatic.

    In addition, Zenith has elevated its managing partner and head, West & South Ajit Gurnani to the newly created role of chief client officer.
