  • Chandra meets Musharraf; to explore Pak further

    MUMBAI: Zee Telefilms CMD Subhash Chandra met the Pakistan president Pervez Mushrraf during his three-day visit to the country.

    Zee Group chief has also met a number of media and entertainment industry personalities to explore the ways to enhance the group’s revenues from Pakistan.
     
     

    PTI has quoted Zee Telefilms vice president Ashish Kaul as saying, “we are now looking at exploring all options to enhance the group’s revenue from the neighbouring country. Zee is also open to forge partnerships in Pakistan as part of its business initiatives. We are open to any kind of partnership.”

    Kaul claimed that Zee’s bouquet of entertainment channels was well received by Pak viewers in the country.
     
     

    Chandra also stressed on the need to address the menace of piracy afflicting the entertainment industry in the two nations during his interaction with various personalities.

    He also called on Punjab province chief minister Choudhary Pervez Ilahi in Lahore.

  • Farida Jalal meets ‘Hero’ on Hungama TV

    MUMBAI: Farida Jalal is all set to make a special appearance in Hungama TV’s show Hero as Bebe. She will feature in six episodes, the first of which will telecast on 18 July at 7:30 pm.

    Hero, which was launched in May this year, is a live action show and is produced by UTV.

    Incidentally, Jalal stars as ‘jaadui nani’ in the UTV-produced serial Shararat, which airs on Star Plus.

    The show revolves around a fantasy about the heroic deeds and adventures of an ordinary boy Joy, who is bestowed with magical powers by the Goddess Durga to help him fight the arch-villain Viraat.

    Commenting on her experience with Hungama TV’s Hero, Jalal says, “UTV is like home ground for me. I enjoy working with youngsters they give me energy, especially with the cast of Hero, Sumit who plays Hero and Joy in the serial, is an extremely talented actor. The serial is what kids love and what is important is good triumphs over evil.”
