    MUMBAI: EndemolShine India, the content behemoth under Banijay Entertainment, is stepping into the branded entertainment arena, forging a strategic partnership with marketing agency Mediascope. This move is all about turning brand integration and advertiser-funded programming (AFP) into must-watch storytelling.

    MUMBAI:  CloudTV, India’s first certified Smart TV operating system, is switching to a higher gear on its monetisation plans with the appointment of Harshad Wadivkar as business head – monetisation. The move signals CloudTV’s growing ambitions to cash in on India’s fast-expanding connected TV (CTV) advertising wave.

    In his new role, Wadivkar will lead revenue strategies, forge fresh media partnerships, and unlock new monetisation channels across CloudTV’s platform, which today reaches more than 12 million viewers in regional markets across the country.

    A digital sales veteran with over 15 years under his belt, Wadivkar has previously clocked stints at Adscholars, Xapads Media, and Mediascope. His client roster reads like a brand who’s who — from DSP Mutual Fund and ESPN to Mahindra Auto and Jaguar Land Rover — and his agency links span GroupM, Madison, IPG, and Publicis. His knack for scaling revenues and building lasting partnerships makes him a prized recruit for CloudTV’s next growth lap.

    MUMBAI: She is expanding her scope of work. Until November 2024, Meher Anand was account director south Asia of CNN International Commercial. Now she has gone ahead and joined media sales and content consultant Mediascope as vice-president strategic partnerships.

    Meher spent the last 13 years of her career working with CNN International  Commercial where she was responsible for delivery and development of the south Asia region towards the APAC/global objectives across platforms – TV, digital, social & audio.

    At Mediascope, she is expected to lead ad sales and strategic initiatives across media in both established and emerging markets in south Asia.

    “With her expertise in both domestic and international media sales, she aligns perfectly with our ambitions,” said Mediascope in a posting on Linkedin.

    Mediascope takes responsibility for all banners, pre-rolls, and display, which appears alongside VICE’s diverse and disruptive content. This deal allows brands and marketers to connect with VICE India’s young, digitally connected audience and align on the content they truly care about.

  • Umesh Roy Chowdhury is new CMO of FPJ

    MUMBAI: Umesh Roy Chowdhury has returned to Free Press Journal as its Chief Marketing Officer of the Free Press Journal.

    Chowdhury’s mandate will be to drive marketing at the FPJ at a time the newspaper has launched a series of new initiatives to enhance the brand proposition.

    He said: “The Free Press Journal is one of the best known brands with a rich heritage. The brand is now at an inflection point and it‘s an honour for me to lead the marketing effort at this exciting time in the paper‘s journey of more than 80 years.”

    Chowdhury brings experience in print publishing, television, rural marketing, custom publishing, B2B publishing, and digital media intohis new assignment.

    He started his career with the Free Press Journal and later worked with the Sunday Observer, the Lokmat group, the Pioneer newspaper, Observer India, B4U music channel, and Aakah Bangla Bengali channel.

    He has also headed custom publishing at Mediascope and B2B business at ERIL, an Adfactors group company.

  • earthTV inks deal with Mediascope for live global feeds; NDTV to telecast in India

    MUMBAI: German media group, earth television network (earthTV) has entered into a representational agreement with Indian media house headquartered in Mumbai, Mediascope to develop earthTV’s business within India.

    The shared goal is to develop a network of earthTV’s cameras across India, and use this network to generate Live TV programming that will air earthTV’s partner broadcasters around the world, live, daily, states an official announcement.

    In India, earthTV’s programming will be is broadcast live every day on news network, NDTV.

    Mediascope – Publicitas CMD Marzban Patel said, “We are truly delighted at having won the contract to represent earthTV in India. earthTV is a unique and innovative program that airs on a constantly expanding list of leading news channels across the world. India will now enjoy the benefit of its massive reach.”
