    Mumbai: Millimetre, the flagship brand of Lamitude has announced Zero Gravity Communications (“ZGC”) as its creative, strategic and media planning agency of record. ZGC is an independent advertising agency based in Ahmedabad. The agency will handle brand strategy, creative execution, and digital media duties for Millimetre.

    FM Schmidt joins WPP as president in Germany

    Mumbai: WPP has announced the appointment of Frank-Michael ‘FM’ Schmidt, who is Scholz & Friends Family CEO, as the first president of its German business.

    In leading WPP’s third largest market, FM will be instrumental in shaping the company’s business in Germany, supporting agency leadership teams, and promoting a strong WPP culture. From 1 January 2023, when he officially steps into the role, he will be responsible for bringing together the best talent and resources from across the company and connecting the capabilities of WPP’s 7,000 people in the market to deliver transformational growth for clients.

    Alongside his new position at WPP, FM will remain in post as Scholz & Friends Family CEO, which is part of the VMLY&R network and whose clients include VW, McDonald’s, Sparkasse, and the Federal Republic of Germany. He will also continue to serve on VMLY&R’s global leadership team, a role he has held since 2021.

    FM joined the WPP network in 1998 at J. Walter Thompson, later becoming the chief strategy officer of its German business. In 2003, he joined Scholz & Friends as CEO in Germany, and in 2008, he was named CEO of the Scholz & Friends Family, which operates across the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland). Originally from Berlin, FM studied political science, philosophy, and communication science at the Freie Universität Berlin and began his career as a journalist before moving into marketing and communications.

    Schmidt said, “I am delighted to become president of WPP in Germany, and I see this first-ever appointment as a strong signal of the increasing importance of the German market. It is an exciting task to find common interests and to create common ground between our strong agency brands to unlock the full potential of WPP’s capabilities for the benefit of both our clients and our people.     Mumbai: udaan has rolled out a new digital campaign to applaud the relentless commitment of pharmacists to society. The campaign highlights udaan’s superior customer service towards its partner pharmacies.

    Further, the campaign emphasises the unique proposition of multiple delivery options—it’s an industry first initiative by a B2B e-commerce company.

    Mumbai-based brand and communications consultancy, Tilt Brand Solutions, has bagged the PR mandate for the brand. It highlights the challenges of partner pharmacies and how udaan can meaningfully partner and delight them in their journey. The campaign aims to address and solve the unique challenges with a brand promise to deliver a superior customer experience to pharmacies while ordering medicine supplies through the udaan app.

    The digital marketing campaign will run across various platforms for the next three months, including ATL, BTL, paid digital, app, CRM (SMS, PN), etc.

    Havas Worldwide India ropes in Nikhil Guha & Neeraj Toor as group creative directors

    Mumbai: Havas Worldwide India, the creative arm of Havas Group India, has further strengthened its creative team with the appointment of Nikhil Guha and Neeraj Toor as group creative directors.

    The agency recently announced the appointment of Anupama Ramaswamy as its chief creative officer. The two new appointments demonstrate Havas Worldwide India’s commitment to consistently strengthening its team to make a more meaningful difference to its clients, said the agency in a statement.

    Both Nikhil and Neeraj will report to Anupama, who will join the agency in October 2022.

Over the course of his career, he has worked on well-known brands such as Nescafe, Zomato, Maggi, SpiceJet, MakeMyTrip, and Nokia, to name a few. His work has also received a plethora of global and local awards, including a Bronze Lion at Cannes Lions, a Gold and Grand Prix at the APAC Effies, as well as numerous Effies and Abbys. In fact, his campaign “No Child Bride” for Child Survival India won Havas Worldwide India a Bronze metal at Cannes Lions in 2014.

    Neeraj, who has over 13 years of experience, is a digital specialist and has worked in agencies including Dentsu Webchutney and Cheil India in the past. He has worked on leading brands including Samsung, Adidas, Canon, PVR, Adani, and Maruti Suzuki, among others. He was responsible for launching pharmacy brand Zeno Health in Mumbai and Pune with a campaign called Rahat ki Goli. He has won numerous awards for his work, including DMA Asia Echo Awards and the Abbys. He joins Havas Worldwide from Dentsu Impact.

    Mumbai: Dentsu India’s media agency Carat has won the media mandate for TimesPro. The account was won following a multi-agency pitch and will be serviced from the agency’s Mumbai office.

    As per the mandate, the agency will manage the omnichannel media services for TimesPro.

    Mumbai: GroupM’s media agency Wavemaker India on Tuesday announced Vishal Jacob as the chief transformation officer. Vishal will take on the additional responsibility in addition to his existing role as chief digital officer.

    In this extended role, Vishal will work with office heads and business leaders to structure and create diverse skill sets within business teams to manage current and future business requirements. He will also work along with practice leads to break silos and create more cross-functional teams to deliver unified solutions to clients, one of Wavemaker’s key focus areas.
