MUMBAI: As part of plans to continuously enhance its weekend programming line-up, CNBC Asia Pacific is airing McEnroe. The hour-long topical primetime talk show is hosted by tennis legend John McEnroe. The show is airing on CNBC Asia, CNBC Singapore and CNBC Hong Kong
One of the tennis circuit’s most successful, charismatic and outspoken players, McEnroe brings to the show his deeply embedded passion for news, music, entertainment and sports. He will be joined by an ensemble cast of contributors who will serve up insight and information about the stories and headlines of the day, in all areas of news, sports and entertainment.
Contributors who have appeared on the show since its launch in the US on 7 July this year include Sting, Elton John, Kevin Kline, Richard Dreyfuss and Reverend Al Sharpton. Two new episodes will be broadcast each weekend:

CNBC Australia to launch two new talk shows
MUMBAI: CNBC Australia is all set to roll out two new hour-long topical primetime talk shows that were launched on CNBC in the US this year. The shows, which stars Dennis Miller and McEnroe, will start airing on the network from 20 September.
The Miller talk show will air from Mondays to Sundays at 8 pm (AEST) and will be repeated on Sundays at 1 am and 4 pm and also on Mondays at 1 am. On the other hand, the McEnroe show will air from Mondays to Sundays at 9 pm (AEST) with repeats on Saturdays at 2 am and 5 pm and Mondays at 2 am.
Miller, a five-time Emmy Award winner will bring his blazingly sharp comedy take on serious issues in his trademark take-no-prisoners, suffer-no-fools style to his self-titled programme. Blasting hot-button issues with his pragmatic venting, Miller will highlight current events with a Daily Rorschach segment, a high-speed blitz of monologue jokes along with news photos and videotape clips. Topic-specific guests will appear as philosophical sparring partners, and then matters will move on to a panel drawn from the worlds of news, entertainment, politics and business. The highlights for the week on the show include Clive Barker, author of Abarat: Days of Magic, Nights of War; Maria Bartiromo, host of CNBC’s Closing Bell; and film, television and stage actor Hill Harper.
The other show titled McEnroe will feature tennis player John McEnroe. The show will have McEnroe sharing his passion for news, music, entertainment and sports. He will be joined by an ensemble cast of contributors that will provide insight and information about the stories and headlines of the day, in all areas of news, sports and entertainment. The line-up of contributors for the start week include Olympic soccer gold medallist Mia Hamm, World Poker Tour commentator Vince Van Patten, stand-up comedian Greg Behrendt and actress Vanessa Marcil.
