    MUMBAI: VICE Media Group and Mediascope have entered a deal in India which will see Mediascope take on all sales for VICE’s ad inventory, signaling a new phase of growth for the youth media company in the region.

    Mediascope takes responsibility for all banners, pre-rolls, and display, which appears alongside VICE’s diverse and disruptive content. This deal allows brands and marketers to connect with VICE India’s young, digitally connected audience and align on the content they truly care about.

    Publicitas establishes presence in Japan

    MUMBAI: Publicitas, the leading international media service company, has opened a new office in Tokyo on 15 April. Escalating its global footprint, the firm will be an important link between media brands and the local advertising market in Japan.

  • Rupert Harrow joins Publicitas as APAC ED – sales and biz development

    MUMBAI: After acquiring Indian company Mediascope, Publicitas has appointed Rupert Harrow as executive director sales and business development. He will be based out of Hong Kong and will report to Publicitas India and Asia CEO Marzban Patel.

    Harrow will be in charge of sales and business development for Asia Pacific.

    Patel said, “Rupert‘s professionalism and knowledge of the business, combined with his excellent network are perfect for our business. I am looking forward to rapidly growing our business across Asia together with Rupert.”

    Harrow comes with 13 years of experience in the field. He spent 10 years at The Economist as head of sales. Prior to that he spent three years at Getty Images as business head. His experience covers the entire region – Asia (including China and Japan), the Pacific and India for both his earlier companies.

    Harrow said, “I am excited by the opportunity of working for Publicitas, their media partners and advertising customers. There’s is such a powerful offering and strong team to work with, that am confident we will be able to build on the current success and continue to be a preferred partner for media owners and advertisers.”

  • Publicitas Digital signs exclusive representation with Qunar.com

    MUMBAI: Publicitas Digital in India has been signed on by China based online travel information website Qunar.com as its exclusive representative in India. It will exclusively sell the digital advertising space of Qunar.com on a domestic and international level with immediate effect.

    Qunar (meaning ‘where to go‘ in Mandarin) is a search engine designed to help travellers compare air ticket and hotel room prices, and to provide other travel-related information. Users are able to access travel products provided by airlines, hotels and travel agents, and choose the best deals for themselves.

    Qunar.com senior sales director Michelle Ong said, “Qunar being the largest travel site in China, we have seen tremendous interest from travel brands globally to market themselves on our site.     MUMBAI: Australian daily publication The Australian has awarded Mediascope Publicitas (India) the duties of media representation in India.

    The agency will be responsible for complete communication mandate from advertising, media selling/buying and content generation in the Indian context.

  • earthTV inks deal with Mediascope for live global feeds; NDTV to telecast in India

    MUMBAI: German media group, earth television network (earthTV) has entered into a representational agreement with Indian media house headquartered in Mumbai, Mediascope to develop earthTV’s business within India.

    The shared goal is to develop a network of earthTV’s cameras across India, and use this network to generate Live TV programming that will air earthTV’s partner broadcasters around the world, live, daily, states an official announcement.

    In India, earthTV’s programming will be is broadcast live every day on news network, NDTV.
