    Dwijendra Parashar joins Star Sports as marketing manager-cricket

    Mumbai: Dwijendra Parashar has joined Star Sports as marketing manager for cricket, as per his LinkedIn profile.

    Parashar is a marketing professional, who was previously associated with Pidilite Industries Ltd for over six years. He joined Pidilite as branch manager in 2016 and scaled his way up to the position of head of field marketing in 2017. He moved on from the company as brand manager (Fevistik).

    “Today, as I identify myself as something other than a Pidilitian, as I step out of the organisation that has nurtured me over the last 6.5 years, I can express nothing but gratitude for my leaders who have gone above and beyond to aid my development and teach me all I know today,” Parashar said in a LinkedIn post.

    He is an alumnus of Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies.

    Duolingo appoints Karandeep Singh Kapany as India marketing manager

    Mumbai: Language learning app Duolingo Inc has announced the appointment of Karandeep Singh Kapany as the company’s first official representative in India. In this role, Kapany will lead growth, marketing, and operations in the Indian market.

    Prior to joining Duolingo, Kapany led marketing efforts for brands such as Tanishq, HolidayIQ, and Verse (Dailyhunt and Josh).

    As a senior management executive with over 11 years of experience across multiple industries and geographies, Kapany has experience in running independent businesses, owning sales targets, bringing new product offerings to market, and leading large multi-disciplinary teams to drive execution excellence.

    “In a country as diverse as India which has 22 official languages, 121 spoken languages and countless regional dialects, language plays a crucial role in everyday life. To some, language learning may be a step towards the future and to others, it is a way to stay connected to their roots. Whatever the reason, we are thrilled to partner with Indians in their journey to master a new language,” stated Kapany. “I look forward to my role at Duolingo and believe the growth we have seen in India thus far is only the tip of the iceberg.”

    Rucha Bhalekar joins Httpool APAC as marketing manager

    MUMBAI: Httpool has appointed Rucha Bhalekar as a marketing manager to lead marketing and communications activities across the APAC region. She is based out of Httpool’s Mumbai office and in addition to India responsible also for Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, and Bangladesh.

    Bhalekar will report to Httpool APAC co-founder & regional MD Sunny Nagpal, and lead the brand marketing, and communication function to support and accelerate the growth of Httpool and its partners, including Twitter, Facebook, GrabAds, Lifesight, Opera, and others.

    Nagpal said, "At Httpool, we continue to invest in the right talent and build a leadership base in India to support regional expansion in Asia. Rucha's experience in building local and global brands will be an important asset as we take Httpool to a more geographically widespread audience in the Asian countries.”

    On her appointment, Bhalekar said: "I am excited to join Httpool at this key time when they are gearing up for the next phase of growth.     Bhalekar has more than a decade of experience in the field of branding and communication. Before joining Httpool, she led marketing, public relations, and corporate communications for the Isobar India Group from the Dentsu Aegis Network.
