    IOL Broadband, India selects MagnaQuest for IPTV

    MUMBAI: MagnaQuest has announced that its Convergent Customer Management and Billing (CMB) solution, MQSubscribeT has been selected by IOL Broadband, India for its subscriber billing, inventory and customer care operations. This contract encompasses IOL’s service deployments on their own network and deployment of Content Delivery Network (CDN) for MTNL and BSNL.

    An official annoucement states, integrations with network elements for provisioning, rating and billing of multiple services delivered over IP. MQSubscribeT to be used to bill value added services like video on Demand, VoIP services over its IP network, apart from the billing of regular services.

     
    IOL has launched IPTV services including broadcast TV, video on demand, broadband Internet, as part of its CDN project with MTNL. IOL intends to launch such services in several cities in India. MagnaQuest would work on all IOL deployments in India.

    MQSubscribeT will support IOL’s projected subscriber growth and launch of new value added services. To start with MQSubscribeT would be deployed integrated with SeaChange’s Video on Demand middleware chosen by IOL, adds the release.

     
    MagnaQuest managing director Vijay Debbad said, “I am glad that we have bagged the first project in the emerging domain of IPTV.     DTH Television Group, Romania selects MagnaQuest for its digital services

    MUMBAI: MagnaQuest is extending its subscriber billing solutions to Romania. The Hyderabad-based company has bagged a contract from DTH Television Group, Romania for providing its convergent customer management and billing solution, MQSubscribe.

    MQSubscribe will manage the subscriber billing, inventory, dealer and customer care operations. DTH Television Grup has launched digital TV services, which would include different packages of video channels, pay-per-view programmes (PPV) and interactive television.

    Says MagnaQuest CEO Vijay Debbad, “This is one of our important wins in Europe, which strengthens our position in the region. We look forward to supporting DTH Television Grup in their endeavors to offer pay TV, PPV and other value-added services on our convergent billing platform.”

    MQSubscribe is being deployed to support DTH Television Grup’s increasing subscriber growth and billing operations and will enable the company to quickly launch value added services. MQSubscribe will be integrated with NDS, a leading conditional access system.

    Hathway selects Magnaquest as SMS provider for digital pay TV operations

    MUMBAI: Hathway Cable & Datacom is integrating its broadband and digital pay TV billing solutions. The multi-system operator (MSO) has selected MagnaQuest as its subscriber management system (SMS) provider for both the services.

    Earlier, when conditional access system (CAS) was to be implemented in 2003, Hathway had chosen Entriq (formerly known as Mindport as the SMS provider.

    Hathway was already using MagnaQuest’s MQSubscribe, a customer management and billing solution (CMB), for the past two years. “Eventually broadband, digital cable and voice services will converge. So we decided to deploy MQSubscribe for rolling out our digital pay TV services as well. We have been successfully using their billing solution for our broadband internet business for the past two years and found the system to be robust and scalable,” says Hathway Cable & Datacom MD and CEO K Jayaraman.

    Hathway Cable & Datacom will use MQSubscribe to handle subscriber information, billing, inventory and logistics management and customer care. MQSubscribe is seamlessly integrated with NDS CAS for automatic activation and deactivation of subscriptions.

    MUMBAI:Hyderabad-based MagnaQuest has bagged a contract to manage the broadband and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) billing services of Hyperia Ltd, Nigeria’s leading internet service provider.

    Hyperia has selected MagnaQuest’s convergent customer management and billing solution, MQSubscribe, for its triple play services. This will help support Hyperia’s increasing subscriber growth and value added offerings.

    MQSubscribe integration with network elements, mail server for provisioning and mediation of services will form part of the implementation. Hyperia offers a wide range of services like internet access, email, web hosting, wireless internet access and value added services.
