    Madison Media appoints Dnyanada Chaudhari as COO of new unit

    MUMBAI: Madison Media has appointed Dnyanada Chaudhari as COO of a new unit of Madison Media to be formed in Mumbai shortly.

    Dnyanada has 15 years of experience in media, working with media agencies like Lodestar and ZenithOptimedia and on the advertiser side, driving the media mandate for advertisers like Hindustan Unilever, Marico and ICICI Prulife.

    Said Madison Media Group CEO Punitha Arumugam, “Dnyanada is definitely going to be a great asset for us. Her experience spanning agency and client media functions is hopefully going to bring a holistic perspective to our services.”

    MUMBAI: Madison Media has appointed Amandeep Khurana as COO of Madison Media Plus. He will be based in New Delhi and will lead the Bharti AOR.

    Khurana moves in from Spice Global group where he was head of marketing services and consumer insights.
     
    In his 15 years of marketing experience, Khurana has also worked with agencies such as Rediffusion and Bates in brand planning.

    Madison Media appoints Bhattacharyya as director – digital

    MUMBAI: Madison Media has appointed Rajdeep Bhattacharyya as director for Delhi‘s digital operations.

    In his current role Rajdeep will oversee the agency‘s digital operations in Delhi for all existing and emerging digital media
    initiatives including display, video, SEM, mobile, social and emerging media.

    A digital media and marketing professional, Bhattacharyya has worked in companies like Wunderman International in India and W3i and Critical Mass in US, apart from being an independent digital consultant. He has extensive work experience in digital branding, social media marketing, mobile, ecommerce, and direct marketing.

    On the agency side, Bhattacharyya has worked on media planning, buying, analytics, web design and content strategy for Fortune 100 clients.

    Madison Media, whose gross billing stands at Rs 30 billion, does digital work for clients such as Airtel, Cadbury, ITC, Levis, Britannia, Godrej, Tata Tea, Bharti AXA and Spice Jet.

    Mumbai: Madison Media has appointed Sushma Jhaveri as COO of Madison Media Infinity.

    Sushma JhaveriJhaveri moves in from Carat Media, where she was senior VP. She will be based in Mumbai and will lead a set of accounts in the Bombay office.

    Jhaveri replaces Mallikarjundas CR, who recently joined Starcom MediaVest Group (SMG) as CEO.

    In her research role, she has been involved with media research, micro market planning softwares, various ad tracking studies and formulating customised research for various brands.

    Pidilite appoints Madison as its media AOR

    MUMBAI: Madison Media has won the media duties of Pidilite Industries. The account size is pegged at Rs 500 million.

    Madison Media chairman and managing director Sam Balsara confirmed the news to Indiantelevision.com.

    “We have won the Pidilite account, ” he said.

    Mediaedge:cia (MEC) was the incumbent agency. There was no multi-agency pitch involved.

    The creative mandate of Pidilite Industries will still remain with Ogilvy.

    Pidilite Industries specialises in adhesives and sealants, construction and paint chemicals, automotive chemicals, art materials and industrial adhesives. Its major brands include Fevicol, Fevikwik, Dr Fixit, M-Seal and Hobby Ideas, among others.

    MUMBAI: Sam’s at it again. The chairman of the Madison group, has restructured Madison Media, which has been ranked as the top media agency in the country, in order to “provide focused attention to large businesses and reward the senior talent pool of Madison Media, giving them more authority and responsibility,” says a company press release.

    What Sam has done is that he has made Madison Media the mother brand with four other units under it, Madison Media Alpha, Madison Media Sigma, Madison Media Infinity and Madison Media Plus. Earlier, Madison Media coexisted with Madison Media Infinity and Madison Media Plus. Now two new units – Alpha and Sigma – have been created while the other two existing ones have been brought under the Madison Media Group.

    Each of the four sub units is headed by a chief operating officer. While Alpha is spearheaded by Neelkamal Sharma, Infiinity’s man at the helm is Karthik Lakshminarayan, Sigma’s COO is Vanita Keshwani and Plus has Basabdatta Chowdhuri as its head. All the four will report in to Madison Media group CEO Punitha Arumugam.

    Says Balsara, “An organisation needs to evolve. We respond and shape the environment improve quality of service we provide to our clients. Each of these will function as an SBU.”

    Adds Punitha, “We now have a flatter structure which will provide greater focus to our clients business.”

    While Alpha will have Procter & Gamble and Gillette as its main clients, Sigma will handle other mumbai accounts, Infinity will have Marico and Plus will service Airltel, explains Balsara.

    He adds, “This reorganisation once again re-emphasizes that Madison has developed the ability to develop managerial talent and whenever an opportunity arises we are able to fill the slots with internal resources rather than look outside.”
