    VMLY&R India creates latest campaign for Luminous Power Technologies

    MUMBAI: VMLY&R India has conceptualised and created the latest campaign for Luminous Power Technologies, featuring the former Indian national cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. This campaign marks the 9th year of association between Luminous and Sachin Tendulkar, as the brand ambassador.

    The new campaign called ‘Sachin – Dil Se’ is centered on an interview style film with Sachin Tendulkar. The ‘Dil Se’ campaign includes two video interviews. In the first interview with Luminous Power Technologies MD Vipul Sabharwal, Sachin shares his sense of pride in associating with Luminous. The second interview, in a casual and personal chat with cricket presenter and stand-up comedian Vikram Sathaye, Sachin reveals lesser known facts about his personal life. Be it the secret ingredient to make Sachin style baigan bharta or how he maintained his cool during high-pressure matches, he reveals it all.

    Through this campaign, Luminous brings the similarities between values of the cricket legend and the brand which has been one of the prime reasons behind the continuity of the association. Just like Sachin ensured he continuously evolved as a cricket to maintain his supremacy in the sports, Luminous has also has evolved over the last three decades. From being a brand which was hidden behind corridors, Luminous today has become one of the most popular home electrical brands.

    The campaign beautifully brings out the personal side of Sachin that builds a strong consumer connect and gives a sneak peek into Sachin’s life – be it his favorite song, dish or the skills he wants to acquire from others. Part of the campaign video also shares anecdotes from his personal life, which is in sync with brand’s campaign – ‘Khusyion ka Ghar’.

    At the end of 2017, Luminous Power technologies partnered with VML India to launch their first brand campaign: Khushiyon ka Ghar, staging Luminous as the brand that powers Happy Homes.

    Since then, with the focus of their consumers at the center, VML and Luminous embarked on a journey to create a poetic storytelling piece,witnessing a young couple buildingtheir dream home, with Luminous playing a crucialrole, brightening theirhome and their hearts.

    From the beauty of the storytelling to the cinematography and creative musical score, every detail has been individually crafted. The piece stages a fairy fantasy Kerala, with a soundtrack specifically tailored for this heartfelt film. 

    The agency’s creative team crafted the brand’s anthemlyricsand the melody was brought to life with two of the most renowned Bollywood artists. Clinton Cerejo gave depth to the verses by composing the musical score while Sonu Nigam, a natural choice to reach a broader audience across the country, enlivened the melody with his interpretation.

    It culminated with a magic mix that embarks the audienceon Luminous’ happy home journey.  The campaign film was released on April 3rd on the brand’s Facebook and Youtube pages.

While most Diwali campaigns talk about spending and splurging, others talk about the display of lights and fireworks across the country. This campaign, however, goes away from the conventional routes.

    In a refreshing move, Luminous teamed up with renowned poet, lyricist and legend Gulzar to remind a country lost in the frenzy of bright lights and fireworks that at the end of the day the one thing that matters more than any other is the light in a person’s heart. In his own inimitable style and distinctive voice, Gulzar has brought out the message that only through the true light in our hearts, can we bring hope and happiness to the lives around us.

    About the inception of this campaign, Autumn Worldwide CEO Anusha Shetty said, “It’s not too often when a client asks to create a campaign that goes beyond products.”
