    BARC Week 36: Vi displaces Dettol as top brand

    NEW DELHI: The Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) of India has released its data for top advertisers and brands for the period between 5 August 2020 and 11 September 2020.

    The data reflects the top 10 advertisers and brands across genres on India television, 2+ Individuals, NCCS All demonstrating ads that were inserted the most in the week 36 of 2020.

    Top advertisers:

    Hindustan Unilever continued to be the biggest advertiser this week it got 204159 impressions. It was followed by Reckitt Benckiser India which ranked second with 178524 ad impressions.

    Vi bagged the third spot with 66314 insertions. ITC & Godrej Consumer Products Ltd secured the fourth and fifth place with 42175 and 37332 insertions respectively.

    P&G bagged the sixth spot with 32717 ad insertions.

    Other top brands in the pecking order were as follows: Cadbury India, Colgate Palmolive India, P&G Home Productis, and Brooke Bond Lipton India.

    Top Brands-

    This week the newly launched Vi displaced Dettol Antiseptic Liquid from the number one position and emerged as the top brand with 66313 insertions.  

    Dettol Antiseptic Liquid took the second spot with 36400 insertions followed by Dettol Toilet Soaps with 21696 insertions. Dettol Liquid Soap bagged the fourth spot with 19586 ad impressions. 

    The fifth spot was acquired by Glow & Lovely Multivitamin with 15977 insertions.

    The sixth position was grabbed by Surf Excel Wash with 14434 ad insertions.

    Other top brands in the pecking order were as follows: Lizol, Dettol & Moms Soap, Amazon.in & Jeevansaathi.com

The data reflects the top 10 advertisers and brands across genres on India television, 2+ Individuals, NCCS All demonstrating ads that were inserted the most in week 35 of 2020.

    Top advertisers:

    Hindustan Unilever continued to be the biggest advertiser this week it got 243758 impressions. It was followed by Reckitt Benckiser India which ranked second with 162462 ad impressions.

    Brooke Bond Lipton India Ltd bagged the third spot with 41159 insertions. Godrej Consumer Products Ltd and Procter & Gamble secured the fourth and fifth place with 26908 and 23885 insertions respectively.

    ITC Ltd bagged the sixth spot with 23505 ad insertions.

    Other top brands in the pecking order were as follows: Colgate Palmolive India, Cadbury India, Wipro Ltd, and Ponds India.

    Top Brands-

    Dettol Antiseptic Liquid, after a few weeks, returned to the top spot with 27226 ad insertions. Dettol Toilet Soaps this time came in the second position with 17509 ad insertions. Dettol Liquid Soap bagged the third spot with 17230 ad impressions.  

    The fourth and fifth spots were acquired by Surf Excel easy wash and Lizol with 16509 and 13032 ad insertions respectively.

    The sixth position was grabbed by Dettol & Moms Soap for the first time in the last so many weeks with 13018 ad insertions.

    Other top brands in the pecking order were as follows: Wheel Active 2 in 1, Clinic Plus Shampoo, Jeevansathi, Facebook.

    Lizol introduces its first disinfectant concentrate for Indian consumers

    New Delhi: Lizol, one of RB’s leading disinfectant brands, announced the launch of its ‘e-commerce first’ innovation, Lizol Double Concentrate Disinfectant Surface Cleaner today. The product is Lizol’s first-ever disinfectant concentrate to be sold exclusively across e-commerce platforms in India keeping in mind the significant growth retail e-commerce has seen in the country.

    Being at the forefront in its collaborative fight against Covid-19, Lizol is looking to expand its portfolio by providing consumers with a range of products that help break the chain of infection. The new Lizol Double Concentrate has a superior formulation which will give consumers 10X superior cleaning and kill 99.9% germs by using just half a cap.

    RB launches nationwide #DisinfectToProtect awareness campaign

    MUMBAI:  In order to raise awareness on disinfection to help fight germs, RB’s leading disinfectant brand Lizol has launched anationwide awareness campaign #DisinfectToProtect. The campaign focuses on educating people on the need for keeping surfaces clean and disinfected to help break the chain of infection.

    RB Hygiene South Asia senior vice president and managing director Narasimhan Eswar said,“Post our pledge to donate one million litre of Lizol and Harpic to support the frontline workers and healthcare institutions across multiple Indian states, we are now looking to educate our consumers with the right information that will help them break the chain of infection.”

    The campaign will comprise of several short-educational films all shot at home featuring prominent faces of the film industry including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Ganesh Venktataram and Nisha Venktataram, Twinkle Khanna, Ritesh Deshmukh & Genelia D’Souza urging people to stay at home and disinfect frequently used surfaces.

    The data reflects top 10 advertiser and brands across genre on Indian television, including OOH screen, (U+R): 2+, Individuals NCCS All, demonstrating ads that were inserted the most in week 44 of 2019.

    Top Advertisers:

    There have been little changes in the BARC top advertisers’ list in week 44 as compared to the past week. Hindustan Unilever Ltd and Reckitt Benckiser (India) Ltd remained the top two performers with 209521 and 69373 ad insertions, respectively.

    ITC Ltd has grabbed third position with 45744 ad insertions. Brooke Bond Lipton India was spotted in the fourth position this time as it made 41777 insertions on TV. Wipro Ltd moved up five spots to rank fifth with 35309 insertions.

    The pecking order of the top 10 advertisers in week 44 were Hindustan Lever,  Reckitt Benckiser, ITC Ltd,  Brooke Bond Lipton India, Wipro Ltd, Ponds India, Procter & Gamble, Cadburys India, Godrej Consumer and Colgate Palmolive India at first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth position respectively.

    E-com, Media, and Retail saw hike in ad volumes across media during Ganesh Chaturthi: TAM AdEx

    MUMBAI: A total of 450+ categories, 6400+ advertisers, and 8500+ brands advertised across mediums (TV, print, and radio) during the festive period of Ganesh Chaturthi (22 August to 12 September), as revealed by a latest TAM AdEx data report.

    As compared to the last year, the top category of Food and Beverages saw an increase of 9 per cent in ad volumes. Following it were Personal Care/Personal Hygiene and Services, which recorded a dip of 17 per cent and 16 per cent respectively.

    Retail saw an increase of 40 per cent in ad volumes, across media, laundry 38 per cent and household products 14 per cent, the data revealed.

    The top category to advertise across media, Toilet Soaps recorded a dip of 16 per cent across media, as compared to the last year. E-commerce, social media, entertainment category gained 81 per cent in ad volumes, Retail Outlets-Jewellers 57 per cent, and Washing Powders/Liquids 45 per cent.

    The top advertisers included Hindustan Unilever. Reckitt Benckiser, and Godrej, on the top three sports. Leading brands, in terms of ad volumes were Lizol, Trivago, and Vivo S1.

    The data reflects top 10 advertiser and brands across genre on Indian television, including OOH screen, (U+R): 2+, Individuals NCCS All, demonstrating ads that were inserted the most in week 41 of 2019.

     Top Advertisers:

    There have been little changes in the BARC top advertisers’ list in week 40 as compared to the past week. Hindustan Unilever Ltd and Reckitt Benckiser (India) Ltd remained the top two performers with 156539 and 102356 ad insertions, respectively.

    Amazon Online India Pvt Ltd was replaced from the third position by Procter & Gamble, which ranked sixth the past week, with 44196 insertions.

    ITC Ltd climbed up a spot to rank fourth this time as it made 37308 insertions on TV. Godrej Consumer Products Ltd moved up five spots to rank fifth with 36026 insertions.

    Lizol ranked up a spot to sit on third position with 12647 insertions. Dettol antiseptic liquid made fresh entry into the list on fourth position, with 10701 insertions. It was followed by Colgate Dental Cream that had 9662 insertions.

    The data reflects top 10 advertiser and brands across genre on Indian television, including OOH screen, (U+R): 2+, Individuals NCCS All, demonstrating ads that were inserted the most in week 36 of 2019.

     Top Advertisers:

    There have been little changes in the BARC top advertisers’ list in the week 36 as compared to the past week. Hindustan Unilever Ltd and Reckitt Benckiser (India) Ltd remained the top two performers with 144065 and 142324 ad insertions, respectively.

    Procter & Gamble climbed back to the third position from last week’s seventh, with 35271 insertions. It replaced Godrej Consumer Products Ltd, which slipped down a spot to rank fourth with 34577 insertions.

    Brooke Bond Lipton India Ltd stayed in fifth position with 29487 insertions.

    The data reflects top 10 advertiser and brands across genre on Indian television, including OOH screen, (U+R): 2+, Individuals NCCS All, demonstrating ads that were inserted the most in week 35 of 2019.

    Top Advertisers:

    There have been little changes in the BARC top advertisers’ list in the week 34 as compared to the past week. Hindustan Unilever Ltd and Reckitt Benckiser (India) Ltd remained the top two performers with 184652 and 93829 ad insertions, respectively.

    Godrej Consumer Products Ltd stayed firm at third position, as it made 35824 insertions. ITC Ltd was replaced by Cadbury’s India Pvt Ltd that climbed from last week’s seventh position with 31791 insertions.

    Brooke Bond Lipton India Ltd took away the fifth spot from Procter & Gamble, taking a small leap of one rank with 31423 insertions.

    Lizol climbed back to the top spot in the week 35 of BARC top brands rankings after a small gap. It made 12297 insertions. VIVO S1 held the second spot this week also with 12269 insertions.

    Trivago also remained stagnant on third position with 11493 insertions. Fourth spot was taken by a new entrant in the list, Sachi Saheli Ayurvedic Syrup that had 10818 insertions. Ranking fifth was Horlicks with 10217 insertions.

    MUMBAI: The Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India has released its data for top advertisers and brands for the period between 27 July 2019 and 02 August 2019.

    The data reflects top 10 advertiser and brands across genre on Indian television, including OOH screen, (U+R): 2+, Individuals NCCS All, demonstrating ads that were inserted the most in week 31 of 2019.

    Top Advertisers:

    Just like the previous week, there were no changes in the top 5 advertisers in week 31 ratings as well.

    Hindustan Unilever remained on the top advertiser position, by making 150801 insertions. It was followed by Reckitt Benckiser (India) Ltd, with 120674 insertions, and ITC Ltd, with 40426 insertions.  

    Godrej Consumers Products Ltd came in fourth as it made 34637 insertions followed by Procter & Gamble, which had 30702 insertions, in week 31 of 2019.

    Top Brands:

    A few ups and downs were noticed in the rankings of top 5 brands in BARC week 31 rankings. While Lizol held strong to the top spot with 17137 insertions, Trivago was replaced from second spot by Harpic Bathroom Cleaner, a new entrant in the list. The latter made 11174 insertions.

    Dettol Liquid soap moved up two spots from last week, to rank third this time with 10921 insertions. Trivago settled at fourth position with 10772 ad insertions on television in week 31 of 2019.

    Harpic 10/10 re-entered the list post a small hiatus on fifth spot with 10667 ad insertions.
