    Live Your City GM Sheetal Birla gears up to rev Indian live entertainment

    MUMBAI: She’s hoping to get Indian live entertainment lovers swooning in feverish delight. As general manager, India, for  global live-entertainment discovery tech platform Fever Labs  – a position she took up in October 2024 – she will find the going easy.

    The reason: Live your City, the brand under which Fever operates has been running candlelight concerts in India since June 2024. And they have been a raging success starting with the first performances, in Mumbai and New Delhi at venues like Four Seasons in Worli, and Shri Ram Centre of Performing Arts in Connaught Place. These were followed up with venues like Pune’s  Radisson Blu, Jaipur’s  Rajasthan International Centre, Mumbai’s Royal Opera House,  and the JW Marriot,  Juhu, Benglauru’s  Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel and Thiruvananthapurm’s  Hyatt Regency and Hilton Garden Inn. Ticket prices have varied from Rs 500 to Rs 2,500. 

    While Sheetal is pleased about the progress Live your City has made so far, she is all charged up about leading the expansion strategy of the experience providing  company.

    Prior to joining Fever Labs (Live Your City), Sheetal held transformative positions at several leading organisations, including Falkonry (deep tech and AI), Samsung (mobile), Tesco (retail), and Siemens (telecom), where she consistently demonstrated excellence in brand building, go-to-market strategy development, and revenue growth acceleration. Her global perspective, shaped by living in eleven cities across six countries, brings a unique understanding of diverse markets and consumer behaviours.

    Sheetal holds a bachelor’s in computer science and engineering and an MBA from Insead.  Her combination of technical expertise and business acumen positions her perfectly to drive Live Your City’s next phase of growth in India’s dynamic entertainment sector.

    Mumbai: Candlelight Concerts, the globally acclaimed series of intimate, multi-sensory live music experiences, has partnered with the historic Royal Opera House Mumbai, bringing the magic of candlelit concerts to one of the city’s most treasured cultural landmarks. Launching their inaugural series at the Royal Opera House on 30 August, Candlelight Concerts promises to deliver enchanting performances in a setting rich with history and artistry.

The one-of-a-kind format brings live performances to intimate settings illuminated by thousands of candles, creating a truly immersive and captivating experience.

    The inaugural program at the Royal Opera House Mumbai will feature “A Tribute to Frank Sinatra,” with his timeless classics performed by a homegrown jazz band on the 30 August followed by “From Mozart to Chopin” on 27 September. The Western Classical program will feature a talented local pianist, transporting audiences back to the golden age of music.

    This exclusive partnership marks a significant milestone for both Candlelight Concerts and the Royal Opera House Mumbai. It is the first time Candlelight Concerts will be held in a heritage venue in the country, transporting the audience back in time and adding an unparalleled layer of historical significance to the already enchanting experience.     Candlelight concert series arrives in India for the first time

    Mumbai: Candlelight Concerts, the globally acclaimed series of intimate multi-sensory live musical experiences, is all set to captivate India with the first performances in the country, happening in Mumbai, New Delhi and Faridabad from June 2024. Produced by Live Your City, a brand under the American company Fever Labs Inc, the leading global live-entertainment discovery platform, Candlelight Concerts are a series of original music concerts aimed at democratizing access to classical music by allowing people all over the world to enjoy live music performances in an intimate setting illuminated by thousands of candles.

    The concerts line-up – starting in June across Mumbai and Delhi and getting to Faridabad in July– is a captivating blend of classical and contemporary music to cater to diverse musical preferences. Grand Hyatt Mumbai will host the India premiere with “Best Movie Soundtracks” on June 2. Music connoisseurs who miss the premiere will have another opportunity to experience the soundtracks on 13 July and 4 August. The Four Seasons in Mumbai will resonate with the anthems of Coldplay played by a local string quartet on 15 June, 19 July, and 17 August.

    Delhi’s audiences can look forward to a classic musical journey with the elegance of “From Mozart to Chopin” at the SRCPA on 14 June, 12 July, and 9 August. The same venue will reverberate to “Best Movie Soundtracks” on June 28, July 26, and August 23, while Le Meridien will come alive with the vibrant energy of Coldplay’s iconic hits reinterpreted with classical instruments on 16 June, 6 July, and 16 August. These Candlelight Concert programs will also reach the Radisson Blu Hotel in Faridabad from 5 July.

    The candlelight concept is particularly renowned for taking classical concerts beyond opera houses and concert halls and into venues that are part of each city’s cultural scene. Candlelight concerts of varying scales have been hosted in all kinds of idyllic locations, spanning from modern rooftops with great views to iconic cathedrals, palaces, libraries, gardens and more. Amongst the most iconic of these locations have been the Atomium in Belgium, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, and the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah in Dubai, among others. This is the first time that these unique experiences are being held in India.
